[Philip Crosen]

Philip was vexxed, again. It seemed his comment that started as a good-natured jest wasn`t coming over very well.
Oh boy. Here we go again.
"No. I`m not blocking a discussion, if that`s what you mean."

he asked with a raised eyebrow, before continuing.

"And, I`ve no issue with having a Consilium. What? And demands? I just think everyone should be clear on the itinary, that`s all. I don`t think that`s unreasonable...."

He then stopped briefly to emphasize the situation, but then continued, hit with a sudden realization understanding his mistake, changed his angle, but staying measured, neutral and expressionless throughout.

They seriously thought I`d derail the whole Consilium? That was technically what I said now that I think about it. I guess my deadpan is better than I thought. Heh. I need to work on my choice of words, it seems, I guess.

"But if you really want to keep it a secret until the Consilium, I`m not gonna sabotage the whole thing. You really think I`d do that? I`m sorry if my words came out too harshly, I guess."

He then changed his emphasis again slightly, to explain the second of the three meanings his statement had.

"But, while that list hasn`t been properly brought up yet, in general if there`s a motion concerning the whole Consilium that`s brought up and then not explained to me, then you can usually expect my veto on that subject. I don`t think that`s unreasonable though."

[Chambers]

Offering October a consolatory smile between exchanging lines with Philip. 'As is ever the way it seems, I hope you've got some down time coming up.' She certainty works hard, but rest is important to.

Chambers breathes an internal sigh of relief, mirrored by a relieved smile on his face. Seems our conversation has done us some good if we can resolve things this much faster. That and having October's support certainty helps.

Voice calm, almost glad. 'No, no its not unreasonable at all. But if I gave them names without full explanations people would start to second guess or pre-empt, things that can only lead to confusion further down the line. The itinerary, is nothing more than an order or events.' Sips his drink. 'This serves as a way to make sure we are all in the same place, at the same time to discuss these matters, not relying on happen stance meetings.' As often as they happen, forewarning makes it so much easier to plan.

He shakes his head but in an affirming way. 'Nor would I expect you to vote, decide or pass judgement on something that has not been fully explained. Regarding my items I will say my piece, and take questions to clarify as needed.' He will try to catch Philips eye to reassure him of this. 'If these matters were not serious in nature I would not call for a Consilium, but I will be open with them, both in the explanation and the questions.' There stated clear with nothing occluded, no room for deception.

Only now taking a bite of his second cookie.

[October]

She sipped, and she listened.

“What do you mean by clear? One cannot expect to always know what others wish to discuss. Something could happen between now and then.” Hell, a new mage could show up next month and have shit they wanted to discuss.

“I had figured everything would be discussed then, next month. Then everyone can express their thoughts and opinions and we can have an open talk. But I don’t have issues with people vetoing things, it’s how the world works. My issue comes from vetoing it just because they can. Stuff like that helps no one.” And then you end up with a Consilium that did dick all.

A snort at Chambers with a smile, “What’s down time?” humor in her voice, “But in all seriousness, with the holidays coming up, I’m not expecting to get much down time.” People went crazy during the holidays.

“I see a more Formal gathering as making sure everyone comes and gives their opinions. I wouldn’t want anything to happen without each Awakened here and offering their thoughts and expressing concerns. That’s just rude as fuck to not do.” And she wasn’t rude. Well, not now anyways.

“And hey, it gives us a chance to dress up! We could also maybe do a pot luck or something, have hot foods offered or something.” Was she trying to make it sound fun? Probably. But you have to have fun where you can.

[Winter]

He arrives a tad late for his standards, the cigarette and the perpetual scowl already attached to his features. He steps inside quickly, making sure to dispose of the cigarette let it annoy the non-smokers, because as you could tell from the looks alone, at least one of them took great care of the health angle thing.
"Hello", he says, while advancing in ample strides toward the place where the group was assembled

[Chambers]

Well Philip seems to have gone quiet for the moment but it sounds like he's on board for the meeting to take place at least. Good.

Returning Octobers grin. 'Oh downtime? its the mystical state where you get to put your feet up, do something you enjoy and, this is where it gets really outlandish, ... relax.' Ah I didn't think of that. 'Well here's hoping things aren't to manic for you.' I'd like to offer help but there's not really anything I can think of? Choosing to leave that thought for the time being he moves back to good natured humour. 'Dress up? do you think I've got a fancier set of robes at home?'

He thinks about the food idea for a moment. 'Now I'm not opposed to food by any means, but I might have trouble getting something that constitutes a full meal here without it going cold.' And food should be hot in the colder months.

Turning with the sound of footfall. 'Hey Winter, you keeping well.' Gesturing once more to the corkboard. 'There's an announcement I've put you will want to see.' The man keeps a good poker face so I'm not sure how he'll react, and he has tenure so if he objects this could become much harder.

[October]

Seeing Winter come in, a smile was offered, “Hi Winter, good to see you. Hope everything is well.” She needed to reach out touch base with him. Not that they had ever been close, but she respected him.

To Chambers, “Ah, then that’s what I don’t seem to have any.” Nodding, “Good to know.” The humor evident in her voice. “But I am all for downtime relaxing, been thinking about checking out the nightlife one of these weekends.” An eyebrow raised at him, “Yes, I very much think you have a fancier set of robes.” No doubt in her mind.

“Oh, well those little crockpot things are pretty cheap. I might actually have one somewhere. Don’t ask me where I got it, I don’t remember. But I do remember seeing it while unpacking.” Another thought, “A lot of places will put your order in a package designed to help keep it somewhat warm too.” She lived off takeout.

[Witch]

She had been close enough behind Winter that she could smell the trace of his cigarette in the air, but not close enough that the door hadn't swung shut a good set of moments before her hand reached it.

And for all their joined Order and recent work, she hadn't felt the need to call out or pick up her pace. She respected him in various ways, but she was content with the quiet ... almost working relationship that was slowly growing.

So it was that she arrived just as Chambers and October were issuing their greeting to him.

Stepping into range of the group, an eyebrow lifted, and she looked toward where Chamber's indicated. She wondered if it was something for Winter specifically given the named call out.

"Hey guys- how goes?" She turned back to look at the people and not the things. Winter, Chambers, October, Philip Crosen ... no Walker. Well, it was still early.

[Philip Crosen]

Philip was silent, he didn`t feel like elaborating his point any further although he begrudgingly had to admit October at least partially had a point too, too. He just felt answering them would just be him repeating himself. So he stayed silent just taking in the moment, letting everything flow by him and shrugging at October`s and Chambers` comments. That was, until October suggested `nightlife`. He was getting tired of the discussion, so he had a tired, bored, disinterested look on his face. Despite his words, which were in stark contrast to his expression when he finally spoke up at the very edge of almost having ignored October and Chambers after a long think, just after Witch and Winter arrived, speaking to October and Chambers first instead of greeting Witch and Winter immediately.

"Obviously if someone or something else comes up, we`d need to discuss that, but I`d still like to know as much as possible of the things that won`t change. And hot food, dress up? Does this really have to be such a big thing? I know I said every Awakened-on-Awakened interaction is a big deal but still, really? And just what do you mean by `nightlife`? Did you have any ideas?"

After he finished, he gave a curt

"Hi guys."

to the newcomers in greeting. With brief, reserved smile on his face before going back to his detached, apathic, bored, thinking expression aloofly semi-turned towards October.

"Oh by the way, feel free to have my cookies and don`t mind me."

he said, while pointing to his cookie jar in a laissez-faire-kind-of-way with the bare minimum of the due necessary courtesy, before going back to his bored, thinking expression. Quietly though, he was anxious as to how Witch and Winter would react to Chambers` itinerary list.

[Winter]

"Thank you", he says, taking his time to briefly acknowledge Witch right behind him.
"Seems we're growing, slowly, but steady. Hope you've all settled in", he reaches for one of the seats, "Thanks for the offer", eh says, still refusing the biscuits. "So I figure it's about time we start planning ahead?"

[Chambers]

He says nothing on the robes, Ocotber would just have to wait and see for that. 'I don't doubt there are ways, and I'll figure something out, just maybe don't go expecting a full roast dinner.' It's as much the transport as the keeping it hot.

Seeing the fifth arrival just behind Winter, Chambers returns her greetings. 'Hey Witch, well thanks, yourself?.' Gesturing once again at the corkboard. 'I've put up an announcement everyone is going to want to have a look at.' Noting that Winter hadn't taken a look yet.

Turning to Philip. 'As I've said I'll go through all of items that relate to me in full detail when we are actually discussing them.' If this is how hard it just to get the meeting approved, actually talking about any one of these is going need its own separate Consilium. The train of thought however is brought to an abrupt halt as Winter says something unexpected.

Turning, he had yet to hear the man offer a topic of conversation let alone something relating to getting down to business. Intrigued, his focus is now primarily on the stoic man. Between my and Octobers attempt at getting a Consilium up and running and now this. December must be good a month for motivation. 'I'm all ears, what do you have in mind?'
