Catching up over dinner!

“Oh, I was being serious.” She really could make some calls. “Could come work at my coffee shop if you want. More steady hours, good pay from what I’ve been told. Just an offer, no pressure or worries either way.” She’d always offer to help. “Have you ever thought of teaching classes? Like you mentioned you could help me with my Kung Fu and dagger training. I’m sure there are others who would jump at the chance to take such classes!” plus Sonnie had a great personality. One that drew people to her.

“Winter has always had the market on fancy dress-up parties. Even Sasha pulled out all the stops when she was here. I think it’s time for Spring to show what they got in that regard. Let’s take it up a notch.” Show them how amazing Spring was.

Glancing at Fugly, she laughed, “I don’t think he has to be a service dog to react when you’re hurt. I think he’d be concerned and try to help.” Or maybe she just thought Fugly would care if his source of food was gone?

The Nix shrugs as well, “I think it just shows the differences in the Courts and what each believes. No right or wrong.” At least, not to her. “But I wanted to make sure you were ok and that you knew I was here for you. And if you were really upset, then, well, James and I would need to have a serious conversation. Because that would not be ok.” No one upsets her Sonnie. “And no, it’s not a thing with you. Never something about you, you’re awesome.” And that was that.

“Winter thinks they know classy and own the market on that, but I think they’re wrong.”

"I suppose I could see if any of the dojos in town are hiring. I think i got the skills. Not sure about qualifications, though. I've never taught officially anywhere before." Sonnie pondered the possibility. It seemed to interest her.

She nodded in enthusiastic agreement, "Sasha was very fancy! And, uh, elegant! That's the word I was looking for! Elegant!" The Beast smiled, "Still, we're Spring. We define style! That's out gig!" They couldn't let Winter horn in on their turf, now could they?

She looked fondly at the napping dog, "I don't expect him to be useful. I'm here to take care of him. Wanting a living creature I own to do services for me feels a little... Gentry-ish, ya know? He's fine being a useless freeloader. I love him that way."

The Monkey shrugged, "It's fine. I'm over it. James isn't a concern. He's not like the late Abraham."

1 day left. We should wrap this up. Sorry I was late posting sometimes. Life is hectic atm.

Looking at her, “Think you got the skills? Girl, you know you do! I saw what you did to those Briar Wolves, you have skills in spades.” Talking her friend up. Plus, she knew Sonnie had the skills. “Then a local dojo is the best place to get started! I know people would love to learn from you.” The Beast had this.

A nod of agreement, “Very elegant.” No denying that. But, Sera loved the chance to dress up, pull out her more fancy dresses. Feel like a princess for a night. “Yup! So we’ll show them.” She sounded confident.

Looking thoughtfully at the dog, “You know? I never thought if it that way. But I have to agree. Though I wouldn’t say useless, he provides love and happiness and that earns him the world.” At least to her it did.

She wasn’t sure what to say when Abe was mentioned. Maybe it was because she still felt guilty, she couldn’t save him. But she knew him and Sonnie butted heads. So she just nods, content to let the topic drop if the Beast said she was fine.

Getting lost in her thoughts for a moment, she shakes her head with a laugh, “Wow, it’s getting late! How come time always flies by when we hangout?!” a smirk on her face. “Now, I made sure to make extra, so you could take some home with you if you want. But I want some of the egg salad.”

"I was pretty awesome, wasn't I?" Her smirk suggested she was joking around, not actually being arrogant. "Still, I'm not Bruce Lee... or Johnny Lawrence. I guess I'll find out if anyone is hiring and go from there."

"True, I do enjoy the unconditional love," she chuckles as Fugly snores loudly. "It's just a line I try to keep in mind, you know? A lot of Beasts were kept as pets. Not me, I was more like... prey to be hunted..." There was a brief pause before she continued, "...but anyway, I want to be mindful of how I view him."

Sonnie didn't continue on the subject of Abe. She knew it was a dark moment in the Court's history, and she had interest in musing on it.

The Steepscrambler blinked and looked at her watch, "Whoa! It is getting late! Better get going!" She toed Fugly gently in the side. "Wake up, Snoozebag. We gotta go home. Say goodbye to Auntie Sera!" The dog startled awake and looked around, not following what was happening, but having a sense that he needed to stand up. "Oh, sure! Keep it! I'll be happy to take some of this meat, of course!" She giggled.
