A Fire in Babylon

[Alice White]

Alice nodded in agreement at Nightfall's suggestion of a drink. She might as well enjoy herself while she can before the shit hits the fan...after all it always hit the fan when she is around.

"Great idea Al, to friends!" Alice said smiling.

As Neil leaned towards her she sighed at him in mock irritation.

"Damn sneaky springers," she paused and then laughing continued. "I promise nothing."

Lifting her martini she murmered her support of the toast.

"Cheers," she said said smiling at Marcus, Neil, and those present before taking a sip

[Terri Nutkins]

"I think she's zoned out," Terri says, waving her hand in front of Faith's face before taking Rick's hand. "Must be the sight of her man in action. Come on let's go join the party." Skirting around the pit and the cage, Terri leads Rick to the bar. "Hey guys!" she announces, smilling wide.

[Dusan]

Justin set down his empty bottle on the bar and started to walk off towards the mosh pit, not really wanting to make eye contact with the other Lost. To his thinking, he wasn't part of that social circle and would probably never belong anyway....but at the same time he didn't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing that he had, quite literally, given up as of that moment. He couldn't quite follow the cues required for interaction with others, and they probably couldn't follow what was going on with him either.

The sad thing was, he was Courtless for a reason. If he was limited in his emotional understanding overall, then things would only become more confusing - and ultimately work even more against him - if he decided to concentrate on one emotion to the ignoring of the others. How many times he wanted to scream, to explain that he was cornered and wanted to do better...? The Manikin had lost count.

[Lesingnon]

He offers a shrug to Faith as he's pulled away, but doesn't really resist the tug. Tail or no Terri wasn't all that tall...if he lost sight of her in a place like this finding her again would be a PITA even for him. And then they arrived in the middle of a toast, without any drinks.

...Awkward?

At least it seemed to be, maybe. He really wasn't sure what to do in that situation. "Umm...cheers?"

"To friends!" AL-Adin downs his coke.

He loved all of his friends. All of them made life great.

[Rust Mane]

Rust lets go of Otto, face grim as he collects his shirt and leaves the cage.
He finds himself at the bar downstairs and flags for a beer, any would do.

[Dusan]

You know...that would be a tempting thing to do. Go right in there, put on a good show, defeat my opponent and maybe get some respect when all the dust settles. Hey....he's one of those Summer types, the big guy is. How pretty fucking ironic would it be if I cleaned his clock?

That's what Justin wanted to do, having been distracted on his trip to the mosh pit by Spartan's entrance into the cage. The reality was this: I'm too good at that....and if I hurt someone just because it would make for an entertaining evening, then....maybe I'm not that different from the performer I was There, and there's nothing that would ever make me any different than what I was made to be.

So here he was, a machine with higher values arguing with himself against doing something to harm another for entertainment purposes in the middle of a fighting facility instead of stepping into the detached how am I going to pull this off mindset which his Keeper had determined, some time ago, to be an improvement. Maybe there was some hope for him yet.

All right. What'll be a good course of action here?

Deciding to postpone his trip to the mosh pit for the time being, Justin turned smartly and started walking back towards the bar. If he bought another beer and nursed it along for a bit, it would give him a few extra minutes to work out his particular quandary.

As wrapped up as he was in his logistical debate, he really didn't pay attention to where he was going and wound up walking straight into the broad back of the Clown Ogre.

[Nightfall]

Nightfall tossed back his drink and set it down with a decisive thunk, empty. He grinning, surprised, taking in the sudden appearance of the fresh faces, and gave Terri and Rick a nod.

"Well, heck, now it's party. Let's run that one again," he called out over the ambient roar of noise. Raising an arm, he made a circular motion to the bartender and well: a whole fresh round. Yep, definitely a party. Voltron was done kicking Shamu's ass, and Ronald McDonald looked like someone stole his fries.

"Say," he added, looking at Terri and Rick, "When are you two tying the knot? You ever set a date?"

Sometime between harvesting for winter and molting, most likely. Unless Rick had some migration issues, too.
