As the sun sets on April 8, 2009, most people are heading back to their homes having just finished their day of work. Traffic is a pain and people are aggitated and impatient as usual. Parents are fighting with their children to get them to go to sleep, and trying to sit and relax before climbing into bed themselves.

The Vampire population is just beginning to rise for the evening and are preparing themselves for another night of their Requiem.

Awakened are finishing up, or just beginning their studies. Testing the last bit of magic for their spellwork to expand.

Forsaken and Pure alike are getting ready to patrol their territories, wondering what this night will bring.

Lost are heading to their various homes. Some will go clubbing, others will slink back into their dark hovels. Still others will slide back into the Hedge in search of various monsters to purge.

As all residents of Sacramento begin to prepare for their evening, a sudden feeling settles over the city. A hush seems to blanket Sacramento and all sound is muted for a breif moment in time.

The dread of something awakening settles into the minds of every living and undead thing in the city. Dogs and cats alike raise their hackles and begin to bark and hiss at some unknown threat. Mortals feel the hush and stillness of impending danger and become quiet and subdued as they try to continue their nightly activities.

Kindred feel a chill pass over them, all sensing the return of something very old and deadly. Ghouls feel the urge to cling to their regnants in a sudden need for comfort.

A shadow falls upon Sacramento, spreading it's sense of dread and danger into every crevice and crack of the cities inhabitants.

Something has awakened. Something that thirsts for blood.
