[Chambers]

Circle of creation

The Circle of Creation is the gathering hub for all Pentacle mages in the Sacramento Consilium, with chapter houses for all five Orders inside.

Located east of Sacramento and far outside the prying eyes of the inner city, the Circle of Creation awaits the mages of Sacramento. Despite being a replica of the Westminster Abbey, the sleepers who come by never seem to notice it. The wards built into the structure have made sure of this. To all but the Pentacle the Circle is essentially invisible, ensuring the safety of those who enter and engage with one another. Whether it had always been here for the Awakened was hard to say now, but it was the site that the Awakened gather to mingle and discuss official matters.



Today is for official business. The Awakened gather to announce, discuss, and deliberate on the most pressing issues facing the concilium. In this light the Circle is almost imposing, as it's enormity and importance seem to accentuate the gravity of the issues the Awakened face. Today maybe a day for heated debate and final judgment. For proclamations and newfound awareness. Ultimately though, today is what the Awakened choose to make of it.

As a reminder, Consilium is the official meeting but business should not be handled until after the first seven days. This is to give everyone a chance to enter the thread without missing anything. After seven days the thread is closed to new arrivals and the official business may commence.

[Chambers]

The Mystagogue's robes whirl as he makes sure everything is in place, he woke up particularly early today to make sure he got here with everything in hand and enough time to set everything out.

A table was set out and ten chairs set out around it. Seven for the mages he knew of including those he had not seen recently, a few extra a statement to his hope for new arrivals.

Beyond this plates and cutlery have been left to one side next to the large ceramic baking pot, the lid might be on to preserve heat but the smell that creeps out is still mouth watering.

Taking a breath and a few moments to steady himself he looks around to make sure he had done his part to help facilitate the meeting as best as he is able.

[Corn]

Corn arrives dressed in somber black and dark-gray attire, trousers and sweater, appropriate for the weather. He is holding a paper cup of coffee and a bag of chocolates. The smell of the lasagna gets to him first and spotting Chambers he smiles appreciatively before leaving the bag next to the lasagna.
"Greetings, Chambers. How are you today?" he addresses the other Mystagogue with a smile. Then he grabs a plate and gets a helping of lasagna. "We all appreciate this, you know." he tells Chambers referring to the food.

[Aurora]

A more formal meeting required more formal clothes. So she pulls out a pant suit she’d worn before, but it was comfortable and she wanted to wear it again.

Truth be told, she wasn’t sure how this meeting was going to go, but she was going to keep an open mind. And only offer her opinions when asked.

The sound of heels announce her approach, and she could be seen carrying a growler in one hand, and cups in another. Politics were always more enjoyable with a drink, at least, it was that way for her. And she might have had a shot or two on her way over.

A nod and small smile was offered to Chambers and Corn, “Hello.” The growler set down with the cups before she finds herself a seat and sits. "Something smells delicious."

[Chambers]

Turning at the sound of approach. I thought last time was nerve wrecking but it went well, so why am I nervous now? A warm smile is offered. ''Corn, good to see you. I'm doing well thank you, and yourself?'' The grin deepens as Corn begins to eat. ''I can't take credit, not all of it.'' I wouldn't have started this. ''A mage going by October actually started the tradition, she brought us coffee and cake.'' It had never occurred to me before then. ''We liked the idea and put our own twists on it.'' He gestures to the pot. ''I like to make stuff myself so home cooked food it is.'' And he seems pleased with the results.

Turning once again he blinks a few times, it takes a lot of confidence to pull off the shade and Aurora was rocking it. ''Aurora welcome, welcome how are you?'' The gentle smile offered likewise to her. ''I will say, the suit, looks fabulous.'' Not a huge one for fashion he could more appreciate the ability to show her style. Gesturing once more to the pot. ''Six cheese lasagne please help yourself.'' And if a good meal helps smooth things through then all the better.

[Corn]

To Chambers he said "A mage named Guru started the tradition with the cakes when I was new here. I am just glad October restarted it and you guys kept it up. It really makes this feel more than a dry company meeting. There were people that were opposed to this tradition you know. You met one of them the previous month. "
Aurora comes in and Corn smiles. He spots the beer and his smile becomes brighter. "Aurora! Always a sight for sore eyes. Allow me to help." He Reaches to help her carry the cups or the growler if she would let him and once it is settled he pours himself some of Aurora's brew.
"What is the brew, this time Aurora?" he asks.

[Philip Crosen]

Philip was later than he`d liked. But like last time he`d come prepared, cleared schedule and all. He came dressed in his same business suit, black and polished, no tie of course. Those had been O-U-T out for a long time now. But with a blue sweater underneath. And white pants with black shoes that were equally polished. Trimmed and proper like for a formal business meeting. Also like last time, he`d taken his second backpack with him, with 2 1- liter bottles, 2 thermos flasks of hot non-alcoholic and alcoholic punch, as well as his chocolate chip cookies in the same jar he used for them. Paper towels and plastic cups for everyone were of course included as well. His desktop-replacement laptop was again along this time, despite the risks. As were as a matter of course, his order-tool-slash-phone and wallet with keys and IDs, the latter of course being hidden. Everything would be to specs. Straining just a little less than last time, due to rolling his second backpack on wheels on the ground less awkwardly, he took in the amazing smell. Chambers` cooking no doubt. He came in with a smile and offered everyone his hand to shake. With the obligatory, but sincere
"Nice to meet you. How`re you doing."

to all who accepted his handshake and all that did not. Hopefully they don`t snub me like Witch did last time. Let`s see. he thought. After all, he got the feeling shaking hands wasn`t as much a thing for some of them, and that it had merely been his audacity that won some of them over. He gave these pleasantries quite a bit of time, waiting to see who accepted and who returned his greeting. After a beat, he continued:

"So anyway, I got hot alcoholic and non-alcoholic punch in thermos flasks and water as well. Hope it`s still the season for that and it`s ok. But man, that smells awesome."

He didn`t feel the need to state the obvious and disrespect the others, that the smell was likely Chambers` doing. But to his mind it was clear. Once he was settled and ready, he had one thought:
It`s showtime. Time to see how these masters act in a formal setting. They seemed to be quite interesting to share just about everything, despite being Mystagogues last month. about Aurora and Corn.

Equipment: 2 backpacks: 2 1- liter still water bottles, 2 thermos flasks of non-alcoholic and 2 of alcoholic hot punch, jar of chocolate chip cookies, Desktop-replacement laptop, 2 TB SSD and USB 4.0 cable, order-tool-slash-phone, wallet, first aid kit, can of hairspray, lighter, pack of cigarettes, paper towels and plastic cups, wallet.

[Winter]

It's that time again, when official business is going to be discussed. He doesn't see much difference between this and a normal meeting, traditions after all become meaningful only as long as there's enough people willing to believe in them.
Still, for some reason or another, he finds himself dressing less shabbily than usual, and somehow, almost by instinct, he stopped by the bakery nearby to buy a cake.
Either way, as soon as he's arrived, he heads straight toward the middle of the church.

[Aurora]

A smile to Chambers, “Hey Chambers, not doing too bad, how about you?” a quick glance at the suit, “Oh, thanks! Figured I might as well have some fun with dressing up.” And it was spring, wait, right? Felt like spring. Looking at the dish, “Six cheese lasagna? Damn, now I have to try it!” cause six cheeses!

Helping with what? She had already placed the stuff on the table. “Nothing to help with, but thanks.” A gesture to the things already being on the table. “It’s a wheat ale.” When tasted, one will find it fruity, a bit lazy and just the right amount of spice.

A smile in greeting to Philip, but no handshake. Another mage could gather a lot of information from a handshake, and she just wasn’t down for it. But the smile was friendly, “Good to see you Philip, hope you’ve been well.” Was she trying to be in a good mood? Yes. Maybe it would make everything else easier. Maybe.

Spotting Winter, and did he bring something?! This smile was more sincere with more happiness behind it, she liked Winter. “Hey Winter, good to see you.”

[Chambers]

He nods agreeing with Corn. ''Yes, I rather think does.’’ Good food definitely helps take the edge off. ''Sharing a meal can be very good for communities.’’ Met last month, why does that not surprise me. It gets a wry smile. ''Well, it’s hard for me to take opinions from an arrow who gave his word then immediately discarded it.’’ That one was out to cause trouble, or something far more convoluted was a foot. ''So please do enjoy, everyone.'' Catching site of those just arriving. ''Please help yourself I made plenty.’’

Chambers doesn’t take Philip's hand more out of surprise. ''Nice to meet you? Philip we’ve met fairly regular for the last nine months.’’ His grin is good natured the tease is light and without teeth. ''I will definitely have a helping of the punch though.’’ A sweet tooth he definitely has. Pouring himself a cup of the non-alcoholic variant. ''In all serious now though. Have you been well Philip?’’ The history between them was already starting to stretch into decent proportions and the enchanter had proven to be able minded, willing to work through difficult situations, and above all consistent. For all of this he did have Chambers respect.

''Winter good to see you, how are things.’’ In good time this month as well, and oh. ''That is very kind of you. Put it anywhere there are plenty of knives and plates for people.’’ Of things he had been expecting today Winter to contribute cake was not one. It seemed like a good omen, that or he was misreading a portent on dire doom. Best wait and see.

''I’ve been well, thank you Aurora.’’ Not bad is not the same as good. He does not let the concern show he already suspected that would not be appreciated. ''Please grab some food. It seems with all the contributions we have quite the smorgasbord to choose from.’’ His greeting is warm, an attempt to be reassuring. I helped get these going again I have to have confidence they will work out. The nerves dwindling as everyone seemed to be getting stuck in.
