Anatole would find Sera seated at one of the tables setup with canvas and paint. Her shoes had been taken off and were set off to the side and the Nix was painting. No apron was worn, she was concerned about getting paint on her dress.
It wasn’t anything special or anything spectacular, but it was obviously a flower, just not a very good one. Maybe she should stick to Hedgespinning?
But she appeared to be quite happy and content with what she was doing.
A smile was offered when she caught sight of the dwarf, “Hi Anatole!”

"Inspect the posterior?" She hums and mockingly does so. Biting into the cake again, she grunts. "Sonja? I can't tell if I'm looking at a wild or wise ass," she smirks at Sonja. No prude here. "But given how bouncy ya are, I suspect you just burn through calories like a lightsaber through butter. No, not a hot knife," Circe quickly adds, "Too slow to compare to you. Lightsaber is the closest. Might be too slow too, but I can't think of a hotter cutting thing."

Jasper didn't like being shorter? Given how tall he is, makes sense to a degree. Kind of how Circe doesn't like to shut up. Oh no wait, Kray scared him. She scoffs at this, shaking her head. Judging Kray for the cannibal kith? Cowardice? Eh, neither were her thing. The canid Beast should get more Summer.
"I recommend cactus juice. Fermented mind you," she gives her own insights into the alcohol. It was a gastral preference. "Also, there is a meme."
Kray, just challenged Sonja to an eating contest. Circe stops eating the cake, looks at all the food around. Looks at Sonja. Then at Kray. Then at the other Springs in the area. She hopes they have a mop at the ready. Circe can easily see the monkey trying to beat the troll in an eating contest. With colorful results. "Better than a drinking contest," it is unclear whom she is telling. But the small cake is finished as the others talk.
"That is how college works Kray," she laughs, "Take the money, run them through, and then have the fun of making them repeat if they don't get it." As for the options of further education, she had some ideas for that. "Oh, certainly, certainly," she agrees with Kray, "If ya have to hammer out the bad learners, it is best to nail them down with a bigger hammer. Less need to aim," she raises her eyebrows and bounces her ears at the last word. "The bigger size, would leave a bigger impression, that is true," she nods, "But sadly, most of my practice has been with, hmmm, less skull tapping educational implements and more preventatives. Or stabby bits. Ooooh," she laughs, "Maybe go all Ben Franklin. Merge the hammer with a typewriter, swap out the letters, that is feasible Kray. Time consuming though," she crumples up the plate, "If ya find a Hedgespun typewriter, I might be able to alter it into a type hammer."
And then Anatole was wondering off to speak with Seraphina. "Huh," she looks along to the now antlered queen. Circe should probably look into that. You know, with being a fellow monarch and the Groundskeeper. Right, she sighs as her shoulders slump and her ears droop down, "Responsibility. Not my policy, but I took the job didn't I? Imma check and see if that is an official thing."
Circe heads over to join Seraphina and Anatole. She steps up, standing to Anatole's right as she eyes Seraphina's antlers. "I won't say one pun, but I will say the other. Ya got a nice new rack Seraphina," she is cheerful in her tone. It was Spring after all, so probably fine.
Vincent grabs the drink that Kray offers him. "Cheers!" Vincent says as he gulps down the entire glass in one drink. "Thanks, that was tasty."
Vincent started taking in the rest of the party until he hears Kray mention an eating contest. Taking that as his cue to grab a plate quickly. "Talk amongst yourselves, I am going to get a plate before these two ravage the food." Vincent says with a laugh as he makes his way to the food table and helps himself to some delicious smelling treats. Vincent did not want to leave Jasper so abruptly, but he knew a food urgency when he heard one.
Vincent finds himself a place to sit and begins to eat while taking in the rest of the party, curious as to see what his Queen and the others are doing, but not wanting to take food over.
Sonnie was picking through the table of feastables when she paused to wave at Jasper "Heyo!"
Plopping some goblin fruit onto her plate (and then making sure one of them didn't crawl off the plate), she looked at Circe with a wry smile, "What are you, a Federal Butt Inspector?"
Turning to Kray she cocked her head to one side in thought, "Hmm, I dunno. I've never seen you eat. Might be an interesting competition for the Summer Coronation, though. Something for the blue elf to consider!" The Beast nodded towards the Queen of the Iron Spears.
Jasper smiles down at Anatole, nodding at the mention of a drink. The wolfhound-headed man's canid ears start to fold back as he's given another introduction to the Ashen Ogre and the Vernal Coyote takes a steadying breath before he looks back up at Kray. He's not too sure that he's going to be as fast of friends as he was with the Ashen king.
Keep it steady (2 successes)
The look that he gives the taller man is fairly benign as he gives him a nod. "Kray," he says before accepting the drink. He gives it the briefest of sniffs before taking a good sized chug. The Irishman could stand to use a drink, or three. "Cheers," he manages after a second smaller taste. He lets out a small breath and looks away from the Ogre. He glances over to Vincent and sees him walking towards the food before the others ravish it too much. He doesn't even glance back to Kray as he walks off to follow his fellow Beast.
He does make a pit stop along the way though, to the Wyrdstone, pausing to curl his long-fingered hand over the petrified dragon's eye and force a little bit of his Glamour into it. As he does, he lets out a soft sigh as that familiar feeling of safety and camaraderie washes over him from the nearby Lost. He even gets that feeling when he looks over at Kray and it helps to steady him even more. His feelings about the Ogre are still a bit of a jumble for him but less fearful, as old memories stir in his mind, unbidden and dangerous for the Beast.
He steps away from the Wyrdstone and over to the food to grab himself a plate of food as well, making sure to grab another drink as well. It's Spring after all, time to indulge a bit. He moves to sit next to Vincent, giving him a small grin before tearing into a chunk of meat with his snout.
Anatole warched quietly as the Nix worked; no critique or criticism was offered. Instead, he waited until the Sovereign offered him a smile and he grinned in return.
The smile faded at the edges.
"I'd say that is quaint but I don't think you are interested making a masterpiece today. I hope your little flower... will give you some comfort."
A pause.
"Can we talk sometime soon? Not here - it isn't the place for it. We can call it a catch up. And I need to discuss something with you."
His stance shifted and he knuckled at this moustaches. Shifting his position again, he moved to stand with the Emerald Queen and looked over the small gathering.
"The Tavern might not be full but there is laughter and chatter nonetheless."
''Uh. Take the money and just run is also an option.'' Circe does get a good chuckle out of him, the deep baritone adding a slightly rumble to his mirth. ''Ha. If I find one I'll pass it along.'' Although this is starting to sound more like a comic book or cartoon. She gets a half raised had as she heads out to join the other sovereigns.
''Uh. Yeah it looked. Need a refill Vincent?'' Maybe he should be getting in on the contest.
At the cheers Kray will consider the wiry beast, and then with a smile, that always toothy smile, will clink his cup to Jaspers. ''Cheers.'' The feeling of the wyrdstone was interesting, it was Krays first time being on this side of it, feeling the sense extend to include another he now knew he could trust, as far as their loyalties went at any rate.
Switching back as Sonnie addressed him he matches her head tilt, and eats a leg of meat from his own plate, by ringing teeth down on the one near the joint, snapping it with ease. Some light chewing? gnashing! follows. Gulping it down immediately after. ''Ah. There now you have.'' But not up for it today it seems. ''No matter. Summer is a good a time as any.'' He leans back
She had to laugh, “Why thank you Circe!” the pun was funny.
Sapphires look to Anatole, “Comfort?” looking to the flower, “Huh, not what I was going for, but I can see it now.” Maybe flowers were what brought her comfort, after all, they were part of her.
Putting the brush down, “Of course, just let me know when you’re available and I’ll be there.” Was she a bit concerned? Yes. The dwarf didn’t usually want to discuss things with her, and she hoped everything was ok.
A warm smile as she looks to the Tavern, “I love the sound of laughter among the Freehold, I think we all need to get together more often to just laugh and relax.”
"Welcome," she says to Seraphina. And then listens to see what the talk is about. "There are other issues that we need boots organized for," she just decides to add in. "We really should have another officer meeting. But, uh, is this not official officer meeting right now?"
Because she really wasn't sure if it was or was not. Anatole was scheduling official one for later? Maybe?
She points back towards the gathered non-monarchs, "Cause if not, I can rejoin the laughter. And yell at Sonja. I think she called me a dirty acronym. I am NOT Eef Bee Eye," she waves her had at Sonja Wu, "And she should know better than that. Very rude of her. Implying I'm a fedrat. That is a faux pas right there by the lil' monkey."
