A glance to Circe, “I think having the cops show up is a risk I’m willing to take to prevent the spread of this shit.” They didn’t even know how contained it was to this area. “If they show up, let me talk to them, problem solved.” She’d just charm them and convince them everything was ok. “But if memory serves me right, it’s unlikely to spread on the other side.”

To Anatole, “Hmmm, that could work. Depending on the number of people currently in the park and all that, I could probably get one open.” she had Contracts for it. “All else fails, I can get my SUV as close as I can to where the Gate is to provide a quick out.” Always an option.

“So sounds like we are going to exit the Hedge and try to get another Gate open?” making sure, “And I have some tape left Anatole if you want to tape things up.” Offering the roll.

Back to Circe, “Interesting question,” she begins, “but not one I’ve heard before. I wouldn’t say it’s out of the realms of possibilities though. I mean, anything can be a fetish to the right person.” A shrug, “I got a cover story if we get stopped, photo shoot in the park. But I think we can get to my SUV before getting stopped.”

"Photoshoot?"

Anatole considered his gear. Considered what he understood of the Rust.

"OK. That works - no need to ditch any gear. We are just amateurs with props. Works. Still... It sounds a good idea to tape up the tupperware. And I'll tie up my ax for safety purposes. Then we can get out of here."

With their work done, and a plan in place, the Lost make the short trek back to Trod. Which is easy enough to reopen the passage between Here and There, when they step through the daylight of the hedge gives way to the dark of night. They'd lost hours in the Hedge this time.

Street lights are on, and the Park is probably closed. If someone sees them now, they might get trespassing charges, but that takes time, time which the Lost could gain by quickly getting to Sera's SUV, or going their separate ways to dispose of their contaminated clothing.

"Right, I heard pack the weapons in the duffle and I march out in the skin suit and armor. Something science fiction photo shoot," was her muffled response, "Sera does magic tongue bullshit, my ass literally distracts."


Packing up and sealing the duffle wasn't a big concern. Oh, Circe was worried about her guns sure, but she could clean them. She'd cleaned and fixed worse for sure.

ooc: Sera's SUV quick and then decontamination as if you have ants in your pants. Use a garden hose.

After watching Circe gather her things and get ready, she nods and steps through the Gate. It was always a bit off putting, stepping back into the Iron side. But she recovers and takes off the mask, breathing in a few deep breaths of the park air.

And if Anatole agrees as well, Sera will move quickly through the park to where her SUV was parked and drive it as close as she could, sending a text to both Circe and Anatole with her exactly location. They would find her at the back of the black Tahoe, her own bags and masks tossed into the back, waiting for them.

[Anatole]

Anatole needs no further encouragement. He wraps the head of his axe in plastic from his pack and straps the weapon firmly to his backpack. Then he hustles after the others.

Like Circe - he'll get into Sera's SUV and then have a quick detox safely out of the way

Plan in place, with the cover of night and speed on their side they end up making it to Sera's SUV, with quick efficient movements they pile in the spores, the Rust falling off with their steps, and settling in the park's grass, and into the creases and crevices of the SUV's seats.

The car peels out of the parking lot, the lost know they've answered some questions, but they've also gained many more, but now they have a direction to head.

And they'll head there....after a decontamination shower.
