Continuance of this thread

Circe's home wasn't always open to others. But it was quite secure in a neighborhood with little criminal activity. Aside from Circe. Well, aside from her now, which meant no ironic mugging muggers for her anymore.


Plus it had two showers, just in case anyone still had icky icky feelings from the tunnels. Circe was willing to accommodate, having used it herself before going to a t-shirt and shorts. As a proper host, Circe was also providing beverages and victuals. Well, sodas and pizza.


Not on the coffee table though. That was restricted to the map of the city. With an old fashioned clear sheet overlay of their tunnels on top of it. Circe was truly a product of the 1980s'.

Though even she knew that looking into the rail cart tunnels would require a few things. Certainly a ladder. No way was a ladder a no on this. Especially if they wanted to get any transport going through the tunnels to avoid crawling like crazy.

[Anatole]

Anatole makes his way over: washed, cleaned, the gloves and survivor's garb replaced by slacks and a pale blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

He knocks smartly, inclines his head when Circe lets him in.

"Thanks for the adventure. Compared to the other explorations, how did this one rate. I must admit, I'm a little concerned about those collapsed tunnels."

"Anatole! Welcome," she greets the first arrival as he enters, "We got quite the spread, help yerself."


She peeks outside, looking for a hound or a monkey, but sees neither. Like some proverb. She closes the door.


"Well," she says following him in, "No daredevil leaps over swarming beasts. No scary teeth filled maws. Nothing ta wine about. No terrible lizards. Found a drain, but it wasn't full of shit like the last one," Circe's ears are drooping as the, traits of the prior expeditions turn unpleasant. "And fer a while down there this time, I maybe thought urine trouble, that we'd find squat again, but I wasn't privy ta the plethora of crappers we'd hafta deal with," and her ears perk up, as does her smile, at the wave of puns.


"Enough of the shitty puns, huh? Positive! We found gold in them thar porcelain holes," She just points off in a random direction. "And I got a shotty," she nods sagely at that. "How'd ya find this trip inta the hole?"
