Goodbye Summer Bash!

[Circe]

Anatole dodged to save his suit. Mayhaps he didn't have the same suited advantages Circe had? A proper tailor and a dozen identical suits made wear and tear much more tolerable.


"Uh-oooh-noh," Circe shrugs on the date, "Its September. That's about all I got on it, oi!" And Vincent interrupted her.


"Challenge accepted," and the Summer Queen acted like a Summer. Splish splash, water gets used by Wrath. Though maybe Wrath would be giving them a strange look for this tactic.


"No rush," Circe splutters, "Sera. I can wait until victor-ppppth," she spits out the water that got splashed in her mouth. This was doing wonders for making the talkative Larcenist shut up. Instead, her Aura was up as was the water, "Raaaaa!"


Though the pool was foaming up. Wait, Circe is a smart Summer, thank you very much. "Pirate Monkey!" She points with her left hand at Sonja. Then swings her arm to Vincent, "Use splash on Puppy Pirate!"


Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon, whichever reference it is, Circe hoped it'd make Sonja obey for the memes.

[Anatole]

Anatole sighed contentedly as he watched the play. Plate on his lap, he sipped at his drink. The Monkey queen's question bought him to a pause; fingers laced through his moustaches and twirled.

"No. Not now. Once briefly in another life but duty put an end to that. Now... well, I'll just sink like a stone."

Teeth flashed in his beard.

"What about you? You always been into swimming or is that something you found after your Durance?"

He tried to shift his position, found the plate on his lap, wrestled with it to stop spillage.

"I doubt I could handle drink, food and super soaker! Ah! Maybe?"

Anatole spoke hurriedly as he battled with his plate, exclaiming happily when he secured his food from spilling across his lap and the ground. He looked over at Seraphina.

"But please. Enjoy yourself first. Don't worry about me. Relax among friends."

It had been a while since he had seen the Nix quite so happy - and with good reason - so he did not wish to break the moment by sending her off like a servant.

[Vincent Black]

Vincent laughs as hears what sounds like a Pokémon attack call right before getting hit with a face full of water. "Okay....okay...truce." Vincent says while holding up his hands. Right before he dives under and grabs Circe by the leg and gives it a quick tug to throw her off her attack. He then swims under and behind Sonnie, before coming up and going after Sonnie "Yar!!!! it's time to visit Davys locker for you!" As he pushes himself out of the water towards Sonnie and lands with a big splash.

[Sonnie Wu]

"Sink like a stone? Really?" she seemed rather fascinated by the idea, despite how bad it would be for Anatole. Most likely just scholarly interest. Then Sonnie shrugged and turned her attention to the Burnt Dwarf's question, "Me? I dunno. I like pools in summertime. I work hard on this bikini bod, I gotta show it off sometime, right?"

She seemed to have forgotten about the pirate talk.

The simain Beast turned her head to look at Circe as she was called out, "Huh? Is that a Pokemon refer---"

A shadow fell over her, and she had just enough time to look up to see her fellow Beast looming over her.

"Eep."

And then she was submersed!

[Seraphina]

The Nix was laughing at all the antics coming from the pool, “You’re good Circe, I got this.” Going back to the grill to make sure she had enough charcoal in it and to turn some knobs.

Anatole asked an interesting question; she kept an ear open to listen. But her eyes were on the Autumn and his plate. That just wasn’t going to work for her, so she scans the area, looking for something, and sees it! A small table meant to sit beside lounge chairs for drinks and whatnot. It was small, but it would hold a plate! So she quickly moves over to it, tying the towel around her waist and picking the table up. It was light, glass and probably fake metal. Bringing it over to Anatole, she sets it down, “There ya go, should make life a bit easier.” A warm smile offered before heading to a storage box that blended in nicely with the outdoor furniture, reaching in grabbing something. Holding it against her leg, trying, but not too hard, to not let Sonnie see it, she moves back to the Autumn and leans it against the table. Was it full. Yes it was. Did she have more? Maybe. Catching the dwarfs eye, she holds a finger up to her lips in a shhh fashion, and winks.

Back to the grill! A cooler was open and various meats were pulled out and placed on. She was no grill master, but she did know how to use one and how to grill.

Looks were offered to the pool as she laughed at the words tossed back and forth. This was the perfect day for her, listening to her closest friends laugh and have fun. Then there was a brief far away look in her sapphires, maybe the Nix was remembering something. But the smile faded for a brief moment before she blinked, smiled again and focused.

“Well Sonnie, you are always welcome in my pool! I’ve fallen in love with swimming in the evening, it’s simply magical.”

[Circe]

Circe waves at, what she guesses is, some response from Seraphina. Too much splashing to be heard.


"Digi-poke-gon, whichever," Circe explains to Sonja. Well, not explains really. Shame this distraction backfired.


"Ehi!" Circe jerks but doens't fall with the leg pull. Vincent isn't getting away that easy, "Torna qui!"


"You cannot escape," that sounds villainous. And Circe dives down to try to tackle Vincent. Or Sonja. She isn't really sure which she is going to end up wrapping in her arms and lifting up out of the water.


Probably lifting them. Water made it easier and Circe works a forge. She has muscles, thank you very much. But she gets someone as she rises out of the water.


"I rise!" She was bringing out the ham.

Not sure who wants to be carried by a muscular Smurfette Could even be both

[Anatole]

Anatole smiles in thanks when Seraphina finds him a table. He follows the Nix with his eyes and arches an eyebrow when he the Emerald Queen leaves the item by his table and within reach.

He doesn't say anything.

He doesn't make a move - except to deposit his plate and drink where he can more effectively graze.

He coughs a little and has to hunch, holding his mouth with the back of a hand, when Circe emerges so artistically from the now raging waters of the pool. Water slaps and sloshes; while the dwarf isn't drenched by any means, he is certainly not dry.

One arm languidly drops to his side in cufuffel of coughing...

Vincent immediately regretted diving as he got water up his nose, only to feel what he could assume was an arm picking him up and out of the water. Looking down he noticed it was the Summer Queen lifting him with a strength that did not match her frame. He did not know whether to be scared or impressed.

[Sonnie Wu]

Glub glub glub.

Sonnie stayed under the water longer than was probably expected. She simply sat at the bottom of the pool and watched the others from below, her cheeks puffed out as she held her breath.

She didn't appear to be in any distress, and even waved at anyone looking down at her.

[Seraphina]

Sera laughs as she watches and listens to the activity in the pool. It made her happy to hear the laughs and jabs, everyone just having fun. Maybe laughter was really the best medicine.

Out of the corner of her eye, she takes a peek at Anatole, not quite sure if he would use the super soaker or not. But, at least he had the option if he wanted it.

Seemed Vincent was getting lifted, and maybe tossed, from Circe! “Damn Circe! You’ve been working out!” a bit surprised, but not completely. As Summer Queen, Sera expected the other Fairest to be fit and strong. “Note to self, keep providing the coffee to avoid those guns, and I mean the arm kind.” Making sure to point that out. Cause she avoided the weapons as well.

But where was Sonnie?! There was a brief moment of panic before she sort of see’s her sitting(?) on the bottom, and laughs. Relief washes over her, glad she wasn’t going to have to save her best friend from drowning. The wave was returned with the Nix waving the spatula.

"The burgers are just about finished." she calls out, moving one off to the side and cutting it up before placing it on a plate for Fugly, "Don't want you to think we forgot about you."
