No one vanished like this without a trace. There had be to something. And she would find it, she was hellbent on finding something. There was no way in hell he would have just left her. Or would he? The doubt rolled in, her lack of confidence whispering that of course he would leave her. He never really loved he, how could he? She wasn’t worthy of it. Gripping her head, she shakes it, trying to get rid of those invasive thoughts. It wasn’t true…he did love her! And she would find something, no matter how long it took her.

She woke from a long session. Her head was still foggy from the dreams she had visited. She wandered mindlessly to the bar for some tea. She didn't care about food as it still had no real appeal to her.

After pouring her tea she headed back up to the bedroom. As she ascended the stairs, she mentally prepared for another long night of searching. Of course, it hadn’t been only searching, she also had responsibilities as an Oneirophysic. A few had needed her help, and she had stopped her search to do what she could.

Walking by a floor length mirror, she catches the sight of herself out of the corner of her eye. The tea cup fell, shattering on the floor, warm tea splashing onto her feet. She turned and faced the mirror, a translucent hand touching her face.

Her face was cracked. She tilted her head slightly to get a better look at the cracks. Some were wide, some jagged, others followed the line of her scales. Looking closer she saw it wasn't just her face but also her chest and arms. She traced the lines; nothing was sharp or pointed, but the cracks were, well, transparent, like her hands and lower legs.

Immediately, she knew what it was.

Since Rhodes disappearance, she had practically lived in the Dreamscape, spending endless hours searching within it.

And now, her Entitlement had strengthened, it had fed from her numerous hours and days there. And she knew it could happen, but was blinded by love and loss.

A hand was held up and looked at, still translucent, no cracking to be seen. So, it had just been the more, solid, parts of her. The hand moves to her chest, touching the cracks and tracing them. It looked like the Dreamscape lived within her and was leaking through her, slowly peeling away her gilded skin.

Years ago, she would have been horrified by her beauty being tainted. But not anymore, she embraced this change for what it was, her dedication to protecting and saving those around her.
