    The Circle of Creation is the gathering hub for all Pentacle mages in the Sacramento Concilium, with chapter houses for all five Orders inside.




    Located east of Sacramento and far outside the prying eyes of the inner city, the Circle of Creation awaits the mages of Sacramento. Despite being a replica of the Westminster Abbey, the sleepers who come by never seem to notice it. The wards built into the structure have made sure of this. To all but the Pentacle the Circle is essentially invisible, ensuring the safety of those who enter and engage with one another. Whether it had always been here for the Awakened was hard to say now, but it was the site that the Awakened gather to mingle and discuss official matters.



    It is a time for simply for mingling among the Awakened. The common area is large and open, but over the course of the month it's inevitable that people may bump into each other. The official concerns of the Consilium are put on hold as a more lighthearted experience is shared among this community of the Wise. Ultimately, this is the opportunity to let the proverbial hair down. How much so is up to them.



    This is the opening post for Sanctuary. Please read this for information on Sanctuary, Consilium, and the difference the two. Come here to be recognized!



    Also a reminder, Sanctuary threads are not official Consilium threads. Those under an incarceration sentence may not attend a Sanctuary thread.



    Sancturary is not a single event, or formal Consilium. It's a compression of time to represent the comings, goings, and intersections of Awakened throughout the month at the Circle.

    Arriving, Witch could still feel the echoing emptiness of the Circle.

    But, and maybe she was imagining it, it felt a little less this time.

    There were still only four. Well. Technically only three. Chambers was still unknown, if only slightly more so that Philip. But that was more than there were a couple months back.

    And she would take it. She would take it all if it meant having a chance against the things she had had to flee from.

    Finding a spot in the common area to settle in at wasn't hard. See above regarding emptiness and single digit numbers. Time to see if the three would become four.

    Witch had told him to swing back by the cathedral, and while swinging wasn’t exactly his style, return he had.

    The walk from the nearest bike rack had offered some time for composure, and a moment to extract and adorn his robes, before heading in proper.
    Breathing in the grandeur of the place, that sense of majestic history was one of the few things that made him nostalgic.

    But he was here for people, not magnificent magical buildings. One of whom he spotted.
    Making his way slowly over to talk to Witch. ‘Hello, again. Keeping well I trust?’

    Dark shadows scatter in ordered symmetrical patterns traversed by a crackling pallid silver light that wraps Winter in a pleasantly numbing and icy coldness.
    When vulgar magic is cast, the frequency of the oscillation of the dark fluid surges until the shadows arrange themselves in a solid black halo around Winter's head, the white light darkens into a fiery black sunlight and his eyes are set ablaze with vivid incandescence.

    It seemed the robes were a thing.

    She knew that shouldn't be the first thought that crossed her mind upon seeing Chambers, but she couldn't help it. Lifting a hand in greeting she nodded. "Well enough, thanks. Yourself?" Her hand didn't stay down long though as, Philip and then Winter arrived.

    "Not terribly, just the usual. Glad to see you- both of you," she ammended with a nod to Winter.

    "I am sure that Chambers is eager to get his acknowledgment out of the way, but I feel like it would be kinda dumb to not at least ask how everyone is?"

    Translation of course being: Any big things of note to bring forward to the group at large?

    With the pleasantries exchanged, Chambers waits attentively on Witch's invitation to share news and stories, seeming to have nothing to add on that front himself.

    He responded to Witch's inquiry first, taking it as a sign of genuine interest."I'm doing ok I guess, thanks. Nothing new, except perhaps that the meeting I left to go to earlier went quite well. He then turned to Chambers. With the annoying ending last time still fresh on his mind he was determined to be direct and blunt this time to get his point across."So, Chambers, what would you share with us about your path, arcane talents and your Order affiliation?"

    "I'm glad you decided to stick with us. The Consilium could use more people", he remarks genuinely. "If there's anything any of you needs, don't shy away". And perhaps the city could go back to the normality it once had.

    While she was able to catch the chortle before it escaped, she could feel her lips twist with the smile that accompanied it.

    From mundane questions about shovels and bikes to daggers at the heart of who Chambers was.

    She didn't mind it, quite the opposite actually. But she couldn't help the spike of startled amusement at the quick turnaround from Philip. It seemed maybe he was getting the hang of what it meant to be part of the Consilium. Or at least the bare bone starts.

    Turning to Chambers she waited for his answers before adding her own.

    "Is there anything we need to be aware of about your past? Anything that could rear up and cause issues?"
