Vincent blinked rapidly at Seraphina suggestion. "I am surprised your hubby let him go that far. Not that you cannot handle yourself, but seeing how he hovered around you I could just sense that he would not let anything happen to you. Even if it was an accident or the result of a "friendly" spar session." he pauses, "Not that you cannot handle yourself, it just seems to me that your hubby was the type to step in without you needing him to."

Vincent was even happier with his decision now, "Well I am just glad the club is in good hands now. And our current leader is more than capable." He finishes his sentence with a pat on Circes shoulder.

Circe nods along with Seraphina on the timing, "That sounds about right, yes. And damn right I do," she puffs up in proud, "None of that salute me crap and give me a uniform with epaulets and enough medals ta stop a bullet idiocy. Get 'er done instead of posturing. This is the way."


Yes she was intentionally quoting that series. She pirated, thank you very much.


Glass boy trying to kill her whilst sparring? Fragile mind so made sense. "Another reason ta shoot him if he shows his broken face," though she thinks the Generalissmo had chased him to do exactly that. "Mr Glass Jaw always seemed waaaay to twitchy ta me. Maybe he wasn't seeing ya, maybe he didn't care."


In defense of Rhodes, "Training is meant ta have ya get bruises instead of breaks. Hurt a lil' now ta avoid lots later? Wash of the green with training sweat? Something, something, good quote" Circe taps her chin in thought. She didn't know the saying. "Not sure of the saying."


"Thanks Vincent," sure nods in acknowledgement. "I think I've done quite well fer someone who got the office out of a game o' rock, paper, scissors, oh ho ho ho!"

She laughed as she took another sip of her drink, “Technically he didn’t know until after the fact. And he wanted to deal with him, but I stopped him from doing anything.” Sighing, “I didn’t know my limits at the time and got in over my head. But lesson learned.” And it actually brought her and Rhodes closer.

A nod as she raises her glass, “Here here!” motioning to Circe with it. “I completely agree. Things have been running right since she retook her position.” She had nothing but respect for the Summer Queen.

There were a couple blinks, not sure if Circe was referencing something, or was just saying things. “If that’s from something, then I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Laughing at the same time.

A thoughtful look, as if remembering something, “It didn’t seem that way to me, seemed like an honest mistake. But hell, I’ve been wrong before.” And if he tried to kill Cole? Then maybe she was completely wrong.

Nodding in agreement, “While I completely agree, and have gotten my fair share of bruises from boxing and other training, ending up in the hospital was a def a first. And not one I’ve been keen to duplicate.” Not that it would happen again. She was quite capable of healing herself. “But I still love sparring and training, Sonnie’s been helping me.” A look to Circe and Vincent, “If you guys ever need a teacher, she is the best.” Would Sera ever be as good as her? Def not. But she felt surer of herself.


“You’ve been the best one I’ve seen and worked with. I couldn’t imagine someone else stepping in now, it would be horrible.”

Another laugh, "Damn, we got off topic there, sorry." she blamed herself for that one. "But if you choose to share your information with others, just be careful. I believe we have some great people in the city, but you can never be too sure these days." she had a feeling he was cautious, but wanted to make sure. Hell, not everyone in the Freehold even knew about her Entitlement. Some lessons from Rhodes would never go away.

Vincent shook his head, "I just felt that I should show you two some respect. And I will probably not be sharing with others, not right now anyways." And like that he felt that his choice was the right one and he had two friends who understood him.

"I'd have loaned him a bat ta use," she laughs along with Seraphina, remember her scary friend. Such friendship that for ditching Seraphina, she'd only punch him in the dick if her returns. No bullets.


Circe empties her drink, ordering something else to come with the food using the tablet, "I'm a ramblin' woman. I often don't know what I'm bull shitting, but I do it a lot. Ya could say I'm a expert excrement expeditor, oh ho ho ho!"


Circe nods in agreement at the praise of Sonja, "True, she is a bouncy lil' parkour monkey that has kicked my ass." And wasn't that a line of Summer approval.


Circe then turns upon Vincent to shore up Seraphina's advise, "Yeah information security and all that. Like if ya get yer hands on a rocketlauncher or machine gun, dooo, do! DO tell me where ya got 'em or let me use 'em fer fun," Circe gives a thumbs up, "Totally untrustworthy ta use such things, I am." Her Italian starts to show as sher hands are now moving to emphasize her words, "Probably use it ta destroy a car wreck. Maybe imitate that scene from Predator. It'll be a fun waste of resources," Circe flashes him a large, toothy smile and two thumbs up.


The waiter arrives with their orders and drinks then, blocking off the more dangerous topics.


The Lost enjoy their meals and continue to banter.
