(Open)Spring into the Night

Laughing, “I phrased it wrong, so it’s nothing for you to be sorry about.” Waving it off. Nodding, “It’s a local bakery, and they also make everything else in the case. They’ve been amazing to work with each season, I present them my ideas, then let them run with them, add their own touch to them.” And they had yet to let her down!

“Are we talking regular wilderness or the Hedge wilderness?” one was more dangerous than the other. “Maybe there is somewhat of a happy medium you could do, not completely disappear, but still get what you’re looking for. Hell, could even purchase yourself a piece of land someday in the middle of nowhere. It could be a yearly trip place, where you do to escape the city life and get back to nature.” Was it a Beast thing? Or a Vincent thing? She didn’t remember ever hearing Sonnie talk about such things, so maybe just a Vincent thing.

“There are a ton of cooking classes around if you were ever looking. And I’m sure there are plenty of Lost that wouldn’t turn away a decently smoked piece of meat. Even for Coronations, or your own shop.”

Vincent laughed along with Sera, "Okay as long as I am not stepping on toes. Maybe someday I could purchase a parcel of land. But for the most part the national parks and a few state parks are generally open for the public to use year round. So it is easy to grab a few supplies and disappear into nature for a few days. As for disappearing into the Hedge, I would love to return one day, but I have a fear of getting lost in there again."

Vincent was honestly surprised by the ability of Seraphina to make the deals she does. But then again her looks, and her nature probably give her a genuine advantage against most people.

“Who’s toes would you be stepping on?” did he mean opening his own shop? Cause she saw it as being the more Lost with legit business, the better! “I’d just let someone know if you’re disappearing for a few days, kinda a heads up. One of us not being around for a couple days can be a red flag that we need to be on alert for. Or if we need to start gathering to search.” Better safe then sorry. “We’ve already had to deal with one of Them in the past and I’m not eager to do it again.” They did not have the numbers. “I head in every now and then to hit the Markets that pop up for spinning materials, I can let you know the next time I head in if you like. I also know there are others in the Freehold who venture in from time to time, and there is safety in numbers.” Did she still go in by herself? Sometimes. But it was like her alone time to just be.

Vincent nods; "Honestly I would love to visit the hedge more often. But I am not sure if anyone would want to venture with me as it is, well like you said not the safest place for us and all. But you could say the same for out here. You never know what could be lurking around."

[Seraphina]

A knowing nod, “It’s not safe and never will be. I venture in by myself quite often, but it’s not just wandering around, I go in with a purpose. I know Circe is usually down for a trip into the Hedge, and she’s a fun adventurer to have with you. Always a good time, never any dull moments!” least she always had fun with the Summer Queen. “If going in is what you want, just bring someone with you and let others know where you’re going.” Maybe that was only her who wanted to let people know, something Rhodes had always made sure she did…tell him where she was. After being in the hospital it had been a constant for her leaving notes and giving him a call. Though she supposes she doesn’t have to do that anymore.

That felt…wrong.

Shaking the thoughts from her head, she chuckles, “That’s true, and the threats out here are better at hiding what and who they are.” It was terrifying if you thought too much on it.

Vincent nods, taking the final sip of his tea. "It has been nice being able to catch up with you without all the distractions of others. We should definitely do this more often. You are a good friend." Vincent puts down his cup and gets his ready to turn into his room for the night.

[Seraphina]

Smiling warmly, “It has been nice.” Agreeing with a nod, “With how hectic things have been, this is certainly welcome.” Maybe she needed to reach out to others and touch base with them as well. “Thank you and you are as well.” Seeing the night was winding down, “If you want some coffee or tea for later, please help yourself.” Gesturing to the counter where the coffee put and tea sat. “Have a good one and be safe.”
