Laughing as well, “I’ve always knew you were.” She knew the Beast was smarter than she let on. But the Nix was happy playing along with her playing dumb. Sera, herself, often downplayed her own intelligence.

Maybe just once, she didn’t want to be the boss. Let someone else make all the decisions, and Summer couldn’t come soon enough for that reason.

“I think ice cream is always a good idea.” Nodding.

Shrugging, “Why not a whole variety? Drumsticks, ice cream sandwiches, the whole thing! Lets fill a freezer!” ice cream was always good to have around.

“Sounds like that’s our plan then, get some yummy ice cream, head back to the offices and go into an ice cream coma until our friends reply.”

"OMIGAWD DRUMSTICKS?" Sonnie practically leapt out of her seat at the suggestion of the popular ice cream brand. "What are we waiting for? Waitress! Check please!" She waved for said waitstaff with the kind of excitement a kid would have.

"Yes, I approve of all parts of this plan. Especially the drumsticks part!" She nodded nodded nodded nodded.

Just as the Lost were to pay their bill and head into ice cream heaven, Circe's text alerts ding loudly interrupting their plans. The Grey Hoods had replied.

"Oh hey," she holds up her phone, "They answered. Uuuuh, warehouse or public place?"

Circe wasn't sure if she could get access to that same warehouse right now. It might actually be getting used for storage purposes. Rare but quite possible. "Uh, not sure if I got the warehouse access. Sera? Sonja? Either of ya got a pub place ta suggest? Oh, hey, pub public place!"

She had to laugh at Sonnie’s reaction, “I was going to say we’re waiting for the check, but you seem to have that covered.” This was part of the reason she loved the Beast so much, the pure joy she got from the little things. It made you reexamine your own priorities. “Were we thinking just one flavor? Or should we get multiple flavors?” she knew the answer, but wanted to ask anyways.

The alert of Circe’s cell caught her attention and she looks to the Summer. Was it who they were looking for, or something else?

With it confirmed, she nods, “Excellent! Was wondering if they were blowing us off.” Or skipped town, or both.

Thinking on the question, both had benefits, “I’d prefer private, just makes the exchange of information easier. But I can work with public if that’s our only option.” Just made talking such a pain in the ass. “Uhh, I don’t have anywhere, Garden Grounds is having some work done on it, so I can’t say lets just head there. If public is where we’re going, I say a park?”

Rocking impatiently back and forth on the balls of her feet, Sonnie just shrugged. "Public. I don't trust them enough to go private again. Park is a little open, though. Maybe a busy tourist spot?"

She nodded and said, somewhat absent-mindedly, "Pub is short for 'public house.'" How or why did she know that bit of trivia? She couldn't answer that, as she was mostly thinking about ice cream flavors.

[Circe]

"Could go fer a uh, Capitol Park with the entrance ta the thorny hiking trail is notable, solid, and hoodies probably won't dis the memorial. Gives use an exit plan too," she suggests as a park option. Pub however was better. "Pub I like fer punny reasons," she fully admits.


"Two reasons. If we buy a round, might calm them, okay, not down but less edge lord," which had its perks. She'd no intent to suggest the speakeasys her work often used. That was a flat no for the hoodies. It was another favorable reason to choose a pub. "I vote beer place. Seems Sonny does, ya gonna veto Sera?"

Just a reminder, Capitol Park's Trod is where the Rust was first discovered! Which might cause problems if you need to escape through it!

A nod at Sonnie’s suggestion, they had no reason to trust them yet.

Frowning, “Not sure Capital Park is the best place to meet up. I’ve heard there is some questionable things on the hiking trail. Had a good friend get hurt on them.” She wasn’t sure what Circe knew and didn’t know. “So I vote for a beer place, a good pint might be nice to have.” And they were usually crowded and people were loud.

"Mmm, yeah a bar is good. Let's do that." She confirmed her vote for the pub. Drunken desires also made for good Glamour harvesting if they needed it. For the Springs, anyway. Circe might want something a littler angrier? Maybe there'd be a bar brawl?

"Drumsticks and beer! What could go wrong?" Don't jinx it, Sonnie.
