"Oh ho ho ho, well Sonny a question?" She smirks at the Beast, "If yer mind is always in the gutter, how much loose change does it find?"


"Well who doesn't appreciate him," she says defensively. "I mean, he is an amazing, articulate, artesian chef from the land of two great delights," she takes a bite of pie as she pauses then keeps going, "Who can say no to the meatballs of Sweden, made by fuzzy hands from the livestock the Swedish Chef has slain, like any modern chef would, using a bazooka." She is trying to not laugh and failing at it. "And not ta mention the wondrous, cheerful catches of the candy fjords of his homeland's mountains: The Swedish Fish! Oh ho ho ho ho!"


Circe can't hold herself back anymore. Too much Swedish jokes. "Not sure how ya actually catch them. Nor where the, oh ho ho, candy fjords are. Must be a national sweet-cret, oh ho ho ho!"

[Seraphina]

A soft laugh, “I see nothing wrong with that, and I will always vote for keeping life more fun!” she needed more fun.

“Of course, it does! He’s a classic, you never stop appreciating a classic.” That was just wrong.

She had not finished her pancakes yet, and moves her plate in such a way that Sonnie could take a few bites if she wanted.

“Oh! Good question!” pointing to Circe.

"There's change in the gutter? I thought it was all used chewing gum and cigarette butts."

The grilled cheese was gone, as were her garlic fries. Eaten and done. Life was full of disappointments.

"Swedish meatballs are yummy, though," Sonnie mused, sipping some of the last of her soft drink. Should she order another sandwich? Did they have time?

Spring Queen to the rescue! The Beast perked up when pancakes were silently offered, and she helped herself to one, rolling it up to eat like a burrito.

A burrito with butter and maple syrup.

Maybe she should have used a fork.

Nah, now she can lick syrup off her palm. Bonus!

[Circe]

"Yes, things change in the gutter. Usually not in a good way," she gleefully, ahem, educates Sonja. Her pie is quickly finished. It was good pie.

"Gotta respect a classic. Be it character or gggreat machinery," yes Circe had almost said gun. She was too much of gun bunny sometimes. "Though the confusion is present with him. With that Swedish, I often have no Ikea what he's talking about. But the dude," Circe is giving them an evil smile, "Has some of the best balls around. Oh ho ho ho ho!"

"Sorry, I can't give ya too many more puns on the Swedish Chef." She drains her drink, "I lack the thyme. Though I'd certainly take the whisk if I could think of more, oh ho ho ho!"

Of course Circe will pun and loudly.

“Maybe it depends on the gutter?” just a thought with a shrug.

Remembering something, “Swedish meatballs…” trying to remember, “wait, did you have a recipe for those Mary?” it was Circe right? “Something about a crock-pot or something. Or am I remembering something else?” which could be a possibility.

The Nix watches with amusement and fascination as Sonnie rolls the pancake up like a burrito. “You know, never thought to eat them like that.” And proceeds to roll on up as well, taking a bite, then nodding, “Works pretty good.” Would make her hands sticky, but it was a minor inconvenience.

“Having good balls is very important in life.” A sage nod.

“Have we heard back from our friends?”

Sonnie paused in her palm-licking, suddenly aware that the Fairest's eyes were on her. She looked at Sera curiously, as if unaware of why the sight of her eating a pancake was so fascinating. She then looked at her sticky hand and realized that, typical of a Beast (or a 4 year old child), she was displaying atrocious table manners.

"Ahem," she cleared her throat as she dunked her hand in her glass of water before wiping it off with her napkin, "Sorry?"

"Anywho, are we done here? Should we go... do something?"

[Circe]

They'd need to add bacon or some other fillings before they could market pancake breakfast burritos successfully.


"Oh jah," she answers Seraphina quickly with a fake Swedish accent. Then goes back to her usual Italian accent, "Weeeell, technically two. One fer regular, the other fer spicy grape jelly version. Sorta the same recipe, just one needs more time and stuff."


"Uh, why? What did ya do?" Circe is confused by Sonnie's apology. Did she fart or something?


Circe checks her phone, "Uh, let's see." She is curious to see if there has been a response. "Hope they aren't barless."


That'd be inconvenient if the hoodies were in a dead zone. Bad choice of words if the stalker had tracked them down.

[Seraphina]

A look of confusion at the apology, “Huh?” then realized she had been watching Sonnie, “Oh! No no no, nothing to be sorry about! I had just never seen a pancake eaten that way! It’s genius!” and the Fairest didn’t care how the Beast washed her hands, not at all. If people stared, she didn’t care.

Shrugging, “We could. Maybe get some ice cream or something?” an idea, “Or head back to the offices to game plan?” examine the pictures and what not. "Maybe both?"

Pointing to Circe, “That’s the one you mentioned before, the spicy grape jelly one! We need to make those!” cause she forgot about them.

"Huh, well, I don't think we can really wait on them to move forward." this thing or this person was killing people for body parts. They couldn't sit back and wait.

[Sonnie Wu]

Sonnie laughed, "Well, I am a genius! Thank you for noticing!"

She looked between the pair of Monarchs, then shrugged. "I dunno. Whatever you two wanna do. I got no real opinion on how to proceed. You're the bosses."

The Beast glanced about the cafe, then back to her companions, "But maybe stopping for ice cream cones on the way to wherever wouldn't be a terrible idea?"

People were starting to not get surprised by the sound passing the lips of the Groundskeeper of the Sacramento Freehold.


"Oh ho ho ho, I've no doubts here, my dear!" She cheers Sonja's declaration.


"Time waits like I break, fer nobody! Well, nobody that isn't high enough on the cuteness index fer the second," she agrees with not waiting before looking at Sonja, "Yes, before ya ask Sonny. You," The Summer Queen points at the Springly defender, "Are high enough on that index fer the stops."


"So, if we're rushing maybe just grab a box of Drumsticks or a knockoff? Oreo maybe? Pretty sure the offices have a fridge with a freezer," she was fairly sure of it in fact. That'd get them icecream cones without having to wait for the prep work.


That and if the Hoodies showed up, offer them ice cream. It would fuck with their heads! Hospitality, diplomacy, bridging the paranoia and distrust through acts of kindness with confectionaries that couldn't be tampered with. Yadda yadda, it'd be all that too along with the fuckery.

Diplomatic fuckery!
