There was a shallow nod of understanding, “That can be the most challenging part. But you did a marvelous job!” she follows Sonnie’s look around, “You sure? But you don’t have to be on duty, I can just tell you that you can take the night off and just have fun!” cause technically, she was the Monarch. “And we always put Spring’s best foot forward! We deserve to let loose tonight as well, and if you desire to stuff your face with the amazing bounty we have, or bust a move on the dance floor, then you should! Others opinions be damned!” they were Spring. They were Desire. And they always had fun.

But the lack of her husband was troubling, and it was making her nervous. A hand absently touches the wedding ring. But still, she smiled.

Offering a warm smile, “Jasper! Thank you for coming tonight! It’s going well, thank you, and you?” taking a sip of her champagne. A glance at her dress, then another smile, “That’s so kind of you, again, thank you!” ever tried to piece together stained glass from the Hedge? Pain. In. The. Ass. So the compliment was welcome.

To the other new face, Kane Harlow , who was now accepted by the Wyrdstone, and there for accepted by the Freehold, “Thank you! Welcome to the Spring Tavern.” The talk was brief, and that was ok.

Glancing to Vincent Black , “Thank you! I am as well.” It meant warmer weather was coming!

[Sonnie Wu]

"Don't sweat it, You Highnessness!" she smiled at Sera, "I'm doing exactly what I want to be doing right now." Which was to keep her friend busy so she wouldn't fret about Rhodes being... not here for whatever reason. Not that Sonnie was going to say this out loud.

She waved happily at Jasper , one of her fellow Beasts, "Howdy! Hope you're having fun! How is the pocket puppy?" That little thing was so cute!

The Steepscrambler smiled and nodded to Kane Harlow , "Hiya! Thanks! Oh, uh, bye?" She blinked as the Manikin left almost immediately. Weird, but whatever.

A wave was given to Vincent Black the other canine Beast. It made her happy that there were more of her Seeming around now. She'd long been the only one. "The season is here now! Enjoy!"

[Jasper]

Jasper's snout curls up in a grin, showing off a mouthful of sharp canine teeth as he looks at Seraphina . "It's going well, thanks..." he says. He looks that dress over again and smiles. "Your skill in 'spinnin' is insane. Ah don't think Ah could pull something like that off.. Might have to try though," he says with a playful grin.

He then turns over to Sonnie Wu and nods. "So far, so good.. Squire? He's doing good. Gettin' a bit too big for the pocket though now. Almost brought him here but thought it might not be the best thing to bring a pup into the Thorns, even if it's safer here.."

"Hey, when you two have a moment," he says looking between the two Springs, "Ah'd like to talk with ya. Ah don't really know how to start this.. Just like.. What does Spring mean to you?"

After making his introductions, Gawain stands off to the side to let others get their greetings in and interact with the strange stone heart that he is now bound to, along with all the rest the Freehold. It only made sense, after all. Queen Seraphina was the gracious host of this event and the most scintillating person here besides, thanks in no small part to her dress. Between those two things, he found it respectful to not monopolize anyone's time or stand too in the way of anything.

Of course, when the lupine giant started asking about Desires, he figured it might be best to leave them to their conversation. That had become Spring business, which was none of his own. Wasn't that one of their tenets? He could chip in, but he didn't think it was his place to say anything.

Which made it a great time to investigate what exactly the hors d'oeuvres of this evening were!

Introductions complete, Kane surveils the assembly. People had broken off into conversations, and though some had traded conversation partners the buffet table had plenty of room for another.
