"You're right" Says Archer, "There is a reason why Her Grace isn't doing everything on her own - I don't doubt that she could!" he's quick to say, turning to look at her, he's deeper into the aisle now, "What was that saying.....a burden shared is a burden halved..? Ya, that sounds right." he shakes his head, turning to drift back towards her, "There's a reason why Her Grace normally only takes on Autumns we know Fear. And it's not as - heh - scary to us when Her Grace uses those tactics."

Looking at the Mirror, and while she couldn't just smash the glass, there wasn't any, not with the Gate open like this, but there was the frame, and if it didn't have a frame anymore then there wasn't anything supporting the Gate...

Of course she’s right.

“That sounds right, the saying. And I fully agree with it. Not to mention others bring a different perspective to the table. So long as one is willing to listen that is.” Seeing him drift back towards her, “What is stored in here? Or was?” sometimes that made people stop and think. Sometimes not. Lets see which he was.

“Fear is a powerful motivator. But like with any other emotion, wielded wrong, or with too much force, causes more problems than solutions. Not that I think she is doing that, not at all, just an observation from years on the road.” She knew Fear better then most Springs, she was married to the Dread Lord. But that didn’t mean she understood it like an Autumn.

Hmmm, looks the frame has to do. But could she muscle it. She had some muscles, not a lot, but maybe enough. If she was lucky. Would she be lucky now?

We used to do a bunch of stuff out there," his jerks his head to where the door to the loft lays, "Was a whole farm - Orchard rather, but all that's gone now. 'Cause of the bombs....fire." he hefts out a sigh, shaking his head, "Her Grace is wise, and would not push to hard. Never." he says with all conviction, stopping for a moment, and in that moment Sera knew she isn't that lucky. The mirror doesn't move and Archer turns around in time to notice her attempt.

"What the fuck are you doing?!"

This might be the time to talk her way out of this, into the Hedge, and into a different Gate. They would lose the element of surprise, but she isn’t feeling confident in this. She wanted to break it. Wanted really bad to break it.

“I just wanted to touch it!” holding her hands away from the frame, “Really, I just wanted to touch it, I didn’t mean anything by it. You hear tales of such grand Gates, yet I hadn't seen such a fine one before. But it was such an amazing piece of work, such craftsmanship!” sapphires looking down, “I should have asked first, I’m sorry.”

Rage-indignation-Fear are cut in half, then halved again as Sera talks. Melodious Nix, with her golden voice befuddling those who hear it.

He comes closer to Sera, and the Gate.

"...you just gotta be careful. There's a reason why that Gate's so important. Especially right now." he touches the Gate, and adjusts the angle of where it rests. "This is Her Graces passage. This room is how she can travel so far so freely. We need to protect it." more a murmur then anything else.

"Come on, we should get back." he says after a moment, "I can tell you more about it, when were in the break room." a beat, "ladies first."

You can convince him to go first, or that you guys don't need to go right now, or the option of attacking him is still there.

Having him come closer puts her on edge, because one never knows. What she said sounded good, but it might not have to him.

Sheepishly glancing down, “I should have been more careful.” She agrees with a small nod. “And I understand, Her Grace must be protected, so she may continue the good she is doing.”

Ladies first? Nah. She wanted another shot at that frame.

“Can I just get one last look at this stunning work? I won’t touch it again; I just want to see it in action. Then you are on for telling me more!” sounding excited at the prospect.

"Fine." he says, eyes glazed, reasoning muddied. He doesn't know Fairests, and he doesn't care to, he has no defenses when a Fairest works their magic, and this is doubly so for a Fairest Nix. "But make it quick - " and there's a moment when he thinks of staying but Sera had said ' see it in action' and so, " - but follow after me quick." he pauses to make sure Sera was watching, before nodding and stepping through. Back to the Warehouse, leaving Sera alone in the Door Room.

2 esuxx in a row, I'm not even gonna roll to oppose this, Sera + talking = win lol and you can roll another Strength + Brawl if you wanna try and brute force it, or you could do a Int+Crafts to think about the best way to break it first

There was a happy quick nod, “Quick.” And she takes a small step back, wanting to see the Gate in all its glory.

This time, she was going a different route, maybe brute strength, or whatever she had, wasn’t going to work. So maybe…just maybe…there was another way. She had to try, knowing her time was very limited.
