Racking his brain, Vincent doesn't know anything that could be called Rust in connection to goblin fruit. He hadn't heard about something like that, but 'rust' might just be a name, or something picked up because of the metalflesh - Carlos - that they keep mentioning, but he has heard of things that could infect and sour the goblin fruit. Nothing this pervasive, or something that could infect Changelings without ingesting the fruit. It wasn't much, but it was something.

No Vincent Black I've said this before if you want to relay something IC to the others you need to do it after I give you the answer to your roll, you cannot keep using CTL tags, or saying I'll just tell them exactly what the ST says. What's the point of RPing and telling stories together if people are like 'I'll just say exactly what the ST says' if that happens I'd probably just write a book.


And Liam Gelt if you want to do a mini scene after this one closes (12 days!!!) to warn Radavur and their kits we can totally do that!

Quick nod to Circe, “More or less, yes.” Though she hadn’t used Wards on a small object before. She’d leave that to someone more versed in it if they went that route.

Wait, cleaners? “Huh, cleaners?” didn’t question the corpse? Mundanes? “You had mundanes burn a Lost’s body?” seriously? A glance to Rhodes. That could have gone wrong so many different ways. Sure, it looked human, but still.

“It’s not just Rhode’s I’m concerned with,” well, more so than others, “but I want anyone near it safe. If it’s going to cost more and take a day or two, so be it. No chances.” They couldn’t afford it. Not knowing how it worked, how dangerous it was or, well, anything about it.

“A rust sniffing dog? I mean, it’s the Hedge, so I don’t see why not. There are creatures in the mundane world that have built up immunity to diseases and whatnot over time. So, no reason to not think something in the Hedge would.” Would make sense.

“Oh, that was a good place to keep them!” she wouldn’t have thought of it.

Anatole had some good points, and she nods in agreement.

Back to Circe, “Sometimes cheaper isn’t always better. There are simply too many unknowns to chance it.” She wasn’t back down on this one.

"Proprio tu sei Golden Girl," she nods in agreement and sets about ordering set of disposable sewage safety suit. Rhodes may not like waiting, but dress for success was something Circe agreed with. Be it a board room or a battlefield.


The batch she found had a review for being good for in house janitorial sewage cleaning. That was on the Evil Overlord List. "With disposables ya can doff, toss, and torch 'em more easily. Huh," she lenas into the screen as she keeps talking, "That is, uh, a promoted selling point fer some of them. Huh. Neat."


Circe starts ordering the materials disposable materials. Suits, filter masks, goggles, gloves, foot coverings. All so much cheaper when they are not meant to be saved. Forget 1 or 2, she'd get enough for coverage of 3 or maybe 5 if she lent her own gas masks. It wouldn't be real hazmat, but it also wouldn't set off red flags, especially with her ordering some long brushes and other long reach cleaning supplies. If she and Seraphina couldn't improv a way to turn a sewer broom into a grabber handle, she'd be surprised.


"So that's enough fer a few folks to go hazmat. Are we also gonna check the ashes?"

The Dread Lord looked up slowly, a look of concentration on his face. "There seem to be enough of us to do so..." he replied slowly to Sera. "Gathering samples should only need a couple, and then back to the Autumn Hollow as a safe spot to perform the research. Autumnal Contracts can be linked to magic - it's the same thing I used to study the Wyrdstone in-depth," He offers to everyone by way of explanation. It was good to know the library was getting used - that an Autumn was source prevented any ire from rising.

I offered it's use... didn't I? Though it would make more sense for it to be just the Courts.... just mine?

Protection and words fly around, but the Autumn's mind is on the task ahead. Magical ills tended to be far more direct - contact was most likely given everything he had heard. Besides, a coverall would ruin his style.

The cremation draws him back as he shrugs to Sera. "I don't recall anything odd about a mask falling after a Changeling dies... though they are the source? I couldn't say for certain." He looks around. "Either way, I think we are of an accord. Samples, research... then follow up with the market as needed." Though in the pit of his chest, it wouldn't be.

A kernal of Fear? A magical rot? This had Ann written all over it in his mind.

Still, best to let the truth reveal with facts.

After listening to what the others said, the Beast felt he was ready to go and help them collect. If anything, he may be able to help track some of the samples they would need. "I am ready to go whenever you guys are. I believe that the sooner we get the samples, the sooner we can get back and find out what can destroy it."

Anatole nods.

"Agreed. I'll volunteer for the group looking to get samples."

The dwarf suffers a momentary flashback: helpless watching the flecks of rust being absorbed by Gerrit's skin and then watching the mighty Ogre turn sluggish, stupified, and then fall. Sometimes one had to face their Fears...

Times up! And to make sure I've got things correct we have people wanting to head to Ambrosial Delights, to check on Carlos' resting place, Radavur their kits, and some research?

Ambrosial Delights will be a main scene, I'd rather get to that one after the other smaller prep style scenes.
Carlos and Radavur can be mini scenes, and I'd want them done within the month.
Research can be glimpses

For this scene, everything IC is done. I'd rather keep the OOC questions and stuff in this thread so it's all together and I don't get (or have others get) confused with asking in Discord, or in the OOC CTL spaces. Not that I honestly think that would happen, but, you never know.

Frist, tell me if I've miss something, or gotten something wrong.

Second, tell me if you're good to skip more prep and want to head into Ambrosial Delights. OR if you definately want to do the prep Carlos/Radavur/Research/Other

For Carlos/Radavur I'll open those, Research will of course be opened by the Glimpse writer like normal, write the glimpse roll the dice @me in the body of the post and I'll get to the roll results.

Rhodes definately wants to get a sample and research the Rust with his Autumn Contracts before we hit the market. Saber Sloth if you're happy to fluff the acquiring I can get that up over the weekend.

Ditto about the samples.

I was going to have Anatole buy some composite hazmat gear from army surplus before venturing into the Hedge. Do you want me to purchase that or hand waive it as a 'one off' for the purposes of safely obtaining 'Rust" samples?

I am happy to do a scene or have Anatole be a background character in a Glimpse for checking out Carlos.
