That isn't a reflection. She doesn't know that contract, but Rhodes is screwed. "Shit. Rhodes, made" she whispers quietly. Hopefully Rhodes and Seraphina hear her. If the figure makes to attack, well, a dart won't do much. Unless they come out.


If they don't, well, she could drop it, snap out the Colt, and get 7 years of bad luck. Not like her contracts would work on it without being spotted. Actually...


Circe holsters the dart pistol, drawing the suppressed 45 caliber handgun. And takes aim at the mirro with the face in it. If it tried to attack, she'd mess up their vision. She squints as she lines up the shot on the Wizened face in the mirror. Then, she'd steal the rage.

Circe is using the Aim action on the mirror with a face.

Clearly, his physical skills had been neglected too long. There was a limit to how much research kept one's muscles strong or reflexed fast. Fortunately, it also meant his wits were sharp and eyes spotted most things.

Being stared at by a Wizened face meant one of two things - either he was finally face to face with Ann... or one of her minions. And really, what are the odds Ann watches her own cameras? That is what minions are for.

Still, there was no reason to expose the others. Perhaps he could lure the attention his way, keep the focus on him. It was a challenging contract, but one well within a Fairest of his capabilities.... Hopefully the ladies would take the hint and stay out of sight.

With a flurry of the Wyrd he turned on the face in the mirror, spreading his arms wide regally and his face breaking into a mirthless smile he didn't feel. His Mantle flared, sending Autumn leaves swirling angrily aboiut him.

With a crackle of glamour two more mirrors flicker showing two new Wizened faces, who's eyes are immediately drawn to Rhodes, through the Reflected faces they can see the Wizeneds are speaking, but there is no sound.

With Rhodes drawing every eye Circe and Sera can continue deeper into the building....

Circe and Sera can I get a Dex + Stealth please, and tell me if you're going to keep heading towards the office

[Seraphina]

There was a small nod of her head, she was aware.

Sapphires widen as the gun was drawn, was she going to shot the mirrors?! While the plan seemed sound, it would draw attention, and she shakes her head to the Summer. It just sounded like a bad idea to her.

Looking back to her husband, she immediately knew the Contract he invoked, it was one she had used. While always handsome in her eyes, she was in absolute awe as he appeared more attractive and in his true form. The leaves swirling about and his arms being spread wide told her all she needed to know.

He was drawing the attention to him. And while she wanted to stop him, she knew she couldn’t. Just like he couldn’t stop her from doing it. But the fear that gripped her heart was real, and it tugged at her, reminding her to not abandon him. Her mind reminding her they came here for a reason, and he wouldn’t want her to step in. It would be a distraction to him, and put them all at risk.

With a brief closing of her eyes, she made her decision, and continues to move toward the office. But they would be talking about this later.

Rhodes does a thing, to grab the attention of...oooh pretty. No! Seraphina however shakes her head in the negative at the gun play. Golden Waifu must understand or communicate with the Flowery Husbando or something. Or had a plan they didn't share. Tactics or some such. Circe head switches between the two, not sure which needs more help.

Circe would try to split the middle. Trail Seraphina, but stopping constantly to check upon Rhodes and the mirrors. She tries to hand signal to Seraphina to slow walk. Finger walk, head shake, then very slow finger walk with head nod.


Whichever got problems first, the gunfire would start in support of.

Apologies for late reply, having a few sicknesses, not seriosu but just several at once.

Rhodes moves slowly towards the mirrors... and away from his companions. He couldn't hear the figures speaking, so it was possible they couldn't hear him either... Still. No sense in making more sound, but important that he keeps their eyes on him. His walk extended into a stately strut, leaves continuing to herald his advance.

He looks at the faces, committing them to memory. He mimed the words as if speaking, though without making a sound.

"Well hello there," he whispered breathlessly towards the mirrored figures. "What a surprise. Unless you've managed to read lips, you can't tell what I am saying. I somewhat hope all three of you are quite a distance away, or else it does somewhat undermine my infiltration plans."

With Rhodes drawing the eyes of the Wizened Watchers, Sera and Circe slip away, closer to the front office they're nearly there!

The Wizends look, eyes wide and mouths open as Rhodes mimes his speech, one of the three's faces disappears from view. Above them, in the enclosed break room they hear the door slam open, and someone's quick steps on the stairs, heading down. Heading towards Rhodes.

Please give me an Int + Composure to memorize the faces please Rhodes , and one more Dex + Stealth to reach the office, and a Perception when you get there Sera and Circe!

It was difficult, so difficult, to focus her attention towards the office, towards the goal. Well, she was making it a goal. If she had a goal, she could focus on it and not the fear that was creeping down her back thinking of Rhodes and what he was doing. Translucent hands gripped into tight fists, nails digging into flesh, she had to focus.

He would be ok.

He. Would. Be. Ok.

This place and everyone inside would burn to the ground if he wasn’t.

Rhodes had more respect from the Summer for his chutzpah, and she wasn't proceeding to the room anymore after she heard the door slam. This was quite a bit more important.

The faces committed - he was reasonably sure - the Dread Lord turned unhurriedly away from the mirrors in the Direction of the banging door, stepping a little further away from his friends. His Heart was thudding in his chest, but his Fear was kept in check by something else. A savage hunger.... his jealousy of Ann. So much of this should be his. These minions, this building... her lore.... Everything. He was Dread Lord here, and one way or another he would end her infringement.

The Contract continued to enhance his features - his ears more pointed, his face more angular, more sharp, the roots that breached his skin like black iron, his flowers crimson like dripping blood. Rhodes' appearance was certainly Striking and drew the eye... but it was bitterly cold, reeling of barely contained malevolence. The hints of the Gentry that lurked within every Fair One brought to the fore. His Leaden Crown glinting darkly, the leaves of his mantle seemingly edged with gold.

They could not hurt him. They wouldn't dare.

His Deep green eyes followed the sound of the approaching pawn. "Tread Carefully," He rumbled at the direction of the sound. "You wouldn't want to do anything foolish."

Hopefully Circe will recognize the same. I have this under control.
