I agree! Welcome back! And....fuck the dice roller :P
The Springs speak their words poignant, even if their tone doesn't quite match, but it doesn't really matter when there's someone beaten down and starved of hope that wants to believe listening.
She shudders, shaking in Sonnie's hold, and sobs, great fat tears spilling down her cheeks.
"How?"
Is the only audible word that escapes her lips. There's a desperate sort of hope shining in her glassy eyes.
oh no! silly dice roller! But look! it appears the dice are still on your side....for now! lol
and thanks guys <31 success
How indeed? How can they explain the path to a new life? It was different for each Lost. They didn't know how long the ghostly woman had been absent from the mortal realm, nor did they know what she had left behind, what she might want to find again. Some of it might be impossible.
"Not gonna lie, it probably won't be easy," the Beast said trying to stay vague for the moment, "but it'll be better than this." Anything was better than Arcadia, or even an outpost like this. "We'll help you."
Without really moving, Sonnie's defensive hold on the woman became a comforting hug, though it was no less firm, "But to do that, we first need to find Rhodes and get out of here."
Did she think their words would work? It was a toss-up; Sera knew she wasn’t as nice as warm and nice as she usually was. But she was going through some shit.
Focus Sera, kindness was going to get them out of this.
Listening to herself, she takes a deep breath, “For starters, we need to get out of this House. There is always a way to escape, we just need to find it. And I think you are the key, and maybe our other, uh, friend over there.” A nod to the singsongygirl. “She keeps saying ‘tick tock’ and pointing to either you or that pocket watch. But if we can find a door or Gate, we can get out, and you can be free.” Well, kinda. They were never truly free of their Keepers and what they went through. It was something they all fought with every day. “And we can help you try and start over.” Would the Nix’s words and offer tempt the girl? Could she find the strength within to defy her Keeper?
Nodding to Sonnie and what she said, “Nothing worthwhile is ever easy, but getting away from Them is always worth the effort.”
Dropping whatever was left of the head, a bloody, some her own, some not, hand was held out to the girl.
"What pocket watch?" is asked as soon as Sonnie and Sera give way for the other's voice, turning into the hold turned hug to where the Fetch was still tick tocking and pointing and the table where Sonnie and Sera knew the pocket watch lays, gleaming in the low light and asks again "What pocket watch?" looking to Sera, obvious in her confusion, she couldn't see the pocket watch.
Sonnie blinked a few times, an expressive giveaway that something was confusing her. The ghostly woman couldn't see the watch? She looked at the object, just to be certain it was still there, then looked at Sera questioningly.
If there were dots to connect here, the Beast's partially-feral brain wasn't up to the task.
The fuck is up with this watch? It resets the room, and Casper can't see it?
Break it.
Still feels like a bad idea.
Smashy smashy!
Let's call that Plan B.
Sapphires look from the girl to Sonnie, then finally, back to the girl, “You can’t see it?” now there was some weird ass shit going on here, and this was just the icing. “Have you never seen a gold pocket watch on the table?” if she couldn’t see it, what did that mean? Was it a distraction? Something placed there to keep them here?
Chewing her bottom lip, she studied the watch, trying to dig through anything she might have picked up in the Hedge or listening to Rhodes.

But her mind was drawing a blank, and it was frustrating. She knew she wasn’t stupid, so she was blaming it on blood loss and stress.
The questioning look from Sonnie was returned with one of her own. She had nothing.
“Ok, lets put the watch on the back burner for now.” Maybe it was just something to distract them. Focusing back on the ghost girl, “Do you know of any way out of here?” a look to Sonnie, “If I remember right, going down made us go up, so maybe the same logic applies here. To go outside we need to go inside. Though I’m not sure what the inside would be, this is the only clean none horror movie looking room we’ve found. We tripped something when we entered the house. What do you think?”
"No, never..." she says looking back to the table then back at the Springs. "I don't..I don't know what you mean. I can't leave the room. There's never - I've never seen a watch. Pocket or otherwise. I..." her eyes turn wild, she tugs at Sonnie's hug-hold, "Are you lying to me?" is the sudden question.
"There's no watch, there's nothing outside this room. Nothing so-so. You're lying! There's no way out. There no way free. No. I'll-I'll stay. I'll work. Yes. I'll pass the test. Yes, yes. I - " she tries and fails to break free of Sonnie's hold. "Please-please just let me go. I need to work. I need - please!"
