---Circe:
"Assume foe," was her answer to that question. It was safer that way. When Seraphina climbs down Circe has the following advice, "Watch out fer rat tails under yer feet."


The bricks are dodged by principle of being away from where Sera is. Circe is careful with the spear and inspects it. Right up until Seraphina suggets ditcher her armor. The pauldrons doesn't help with the arm movement, that was true. "Eh, fair enough," she agrees as she opens the right side's laces to get out of it quickly. It took time but she eventually does it.


Then kneels down to pull Seraphina up by the principle of leverage, "Up ya go!"


Which meant mostly falling backward.

On Circe

---Narration:
Seraphina doesn't step on any rats. Circe discovers a some kind of very faded logo on the knife. Or maybe scratch marks, there isn't aught that can be told from it.


Seraphina is correct, not having the armor on frees up Circe's limbs to better help pull the Spring Queen up. Seraphina can't fail in climbing out of the trench.


The room is clear unless the rats drag in more stuff of value later. The next stop upon their journey will be the big Eastern Gallery the Lost have been leaving stuff in.


Both Fairest will need to make Perception Rolls if they continue onwards to the Eastern Gallery.

[Seraphina]

“You know, you sound like Rhodes sometimes.” She jokes. Always with assuming foe, always assuming the worst. “Ah yes, can’t step on those.” But it wasn’t like they glowed and stood out.

With bricks and knife spear thing passed up, she grabs for Circe’s hands, ready to help push herself up.

Once up, she briefly dusts herself off before picking her bag back up. “Anything useful on the spear thing? Or just something someone forgot?” she had been hoping it was ancient with a cool story. But knew the chances of that were slim to none.

If Circe needed help with putting her armor back on, Sera would help. Otherwise she looks around in the direction they were traveling.

---Circe:
"Up see daisy. Oh, and the gasp of shock. Certainly I am not," she gasps in false shock, "The brains of books I no have, words be bad for me read. I do the bang bang, boom."


As for the spear? Circe gives it a look. She tries pulling on the knife's handle. Well, pulling it out and finding it has just the tang shoved into the pipe and taped into place. The old duct tape gives way. It isn't in good condition, just not rusted. Well, the blade isn't, the tang? Crumbly.


"Somebody must'a ditched it. It ain't a modern knife ya'd buy in stores," she shows the tang, carefully, to Seraphina, "But is ain't ancient either, I'm more guns ya know? But it looks like whatever they rust proofed it with worked on the blade but they didn't get the tang," she leaves it and the pipe against the wall near the East entrance. "Pipe might be more useful than the blade, unless we wanna make traps. Just saying."


Circe just slips the armor back on and ties it back up as they walk. She does have to, probably quite comically from Sera's perspective, hop sideways down the tunnel whilst pulling the Velcro straps. Her hands aren't free, but she didn't expect trouble down here.

No reason to expect it at all.

---Narration:
Heading East, the ladies find naught of interest in the sloping tunnel. Whatever might have ended up left in the tunnel has probably slid down into the gallery, been eaten by rats, or decayed away.


The first gallery they discovered however? Oh, there are certainly things present there. Many things. Possibly. There are still a few piles of trash the ladies can sift through with perception checks to find any hidden gems more quickly.
Perhaps even a real gem? Who knows?


But the ladies to notice two things with much to be inventoried. The first wheelbarrow and the tarp covered construction supplies from sealing the cess pool.

“Certainly, you do.” She says with a laugh, “You might do the bang bang boom, but you both share similar thoughts on threats.” So there.

A confused look as Circe shows her the knife, “Tang? Like the drink?” no, Circe couldn’t have meant that. The rust? Kinda looked like tang, in a bad drink kinda way.

“I think we can come up with better trap ideas should we need them. Maybe just dispose of em.” Shrugging.

The piles of trash, were, well trash. But they could be hiding something. So Sera begins to nudge them with her foot, always good to make sure nothing was living in them. But as she was doing that, she noticed something.

“Uhh, did we go in a circle?”

She joins her friend in laughter as she nods her head, "Oh ho ho ho! Yup. Neutralize it."


As for the Tang vs tang issue? Circe didn't realize the mistake, on Seraphina's part, "Oh ho ho ho! You've learned the ways of pun, oh ho ho ho! Shame Sonja wasn't here, orange she'd have made an orangutang pun, oh ho ho ho!"


Then there is the trash in the gallery. There's the stuff they left, and the stuff they tossed aside. Circe kicks at a different pile. And pokes it with the pipe too, just in case a rat was nesting.

Seraphina realizes they have not been traveling in circles. As for what she finds in her first pile? It is shiny, red, and refracts the beam of her light. And the half full bottle of Code Red is probably very flat now. One of the Lost visiting must have tossed it aside down here. Moving it, she will find some porcelain fragments of some kind. The rest is useless trash unless she needs to fill a hole.


Circe? Her find is similar but more solid. What happened during Circe's solo trips down here? She left some empty San Palagrino's in the junk pile. And found them along with a rat skeleton and more porcelain fragments. The rest in this pile is more useless trash.


Neither Fairest smells aught of note. But there are more piles if they wish to keep searching.

[Seraphina]

Wait, it was a pun? She still didn’t get it, so she just shrugs.

Looking around, “Well, we’ve been here before. So if not in a circle..” she lets the words drift off. Stopping and turning around, “Huh, maybe not in a circle.” But whatever, they had def been here before.

“We should put trash cans down here.” Picking up the bottle gingerly with two fingers. Ew.

The porcelain was kinda cool, not something she expected to find down here. But it was in pieces and that was something she certainly did not have the patience for.

She continues to look through the piles, trying to separate out the actual trash into piles and weird shot into others.

---Circe:
"A square? Then we'd be hip," is her suggestion for not a circle. As for the suggestion of a trash barrel, that gets a snort of amusement from Circe. "I could say this place is a dump," she groans as she pushes something heavy or lodged in one of the piles, "But we've been dumping stuff here!" Circe gives it a weak kick, "So it is a lil' obvious it is that." Circe gives the pile a solid kick, getting it to move, "Maybe yard trash bags."

---Narration:
Seraphina makes a few discoveries in the next pile. More porcelain fragments, including an arm! Not a life-sized arm, but a small doll's arm, and probably only the bicep/triceps section. Some of the elbow too. The most obvious find in her pile however is the big thing her foot hits. It isn't hard to find or remove, most of her pile is light garbage. If she removes it, then Seraphina discovers an intact 4x4 plank.


Circe's troublesome object, once all the dust and rags are removed, is a section of a metal bed with some wires attached? No, two bed springs and a straightened-out bed spring.


Neither sees nor smells anything else noteworthy. There are only a couple of junk piles left.

About 1 week remains.

[Seraphina]

“I never claimed to be hip.” Nope, not this Nix. Fashionable? Yes. “Technically, you’re not wrong about it being a dump.” Looking around, “Though I guess if we keep the tunnels a little trashy looking, maybe no one will catch on that we have rooms in use. Or something like that.” Sure. “Make the tunnels look unused.” Might be a thing.

Gingerly, she picks up the doll arm, holding it up to Circe, “Like dolls?” or, well, a doll arm? “If you’ve been good, I bet there is enough parts here to make her a whole doll once again.” She jokes with a laugh. “But hey! Another 4x4!” putting the arm down to pick the wood plank up.

The Nix then stands to kick some more piles, cause, why not! Maybe they’d get the full doll she promised Circe. As she does, “So what is our next step? Make a more detailed map, throw some design ideas together and present them to the others?”

---Circe:
"Camouflage," she nods along as Seraphina agrees to the slothful solution of leaving trash lying around, "Sounds fancier. Camouflage."


The scrap metal is tossed away from the junk. The springs might be useful, barely, for some bigger machines. Or just smelt it all in her forge. She moves on to the last pile,and starts using the pipe/spear to poke it. Something had to be in here, right?

"Doll? Just so long as it isn't a redheaded boy," was her response to the offer of an arm, "I've seen that movie, don't see why its scary, just kick the killer doll," and it looks like Circe had read the survival guide for horror movies. And the nix had more wood. Oh, the Larcenist could use that!


"Well, ya clearly got wood Sera," she giggles, "I mean, ya put a ring on him."


As for plans. that got her to pause in her search. Seraphina will see those crimson and black eyes sparkle as inspiration hits Circe. "Ooooh, overlays!" Explanation? Yes explanation: "More detailed map, and overlay on that map what we want ta have where. Or worked on, multiple overlays. Used ta have those transparency sheets," her decade was showing, "Uh, not now. Digital probably. Easy enough ta find, I'm sure!"

---Narration:
Seraphina makes a few discoveries in her last pile. A blood-red jewel about the size of a fist falls out as she is picking up a pile of dust and newspapers. The clink on the ground is that of glass or crystal. Given weight and lack of damage from the drop, it is probably the latter.


What about under the pile she cleared out? Seraphina had hit clay dirt: more bricks! Someone during their first clean up had stacked the things Jenga style, at a total of 9 bricks.


The Larcenist had less pleasing discoveries. Most obvious was that there is a pile of broken glass in this junk. Like insanely obvious with the pipe hitting and breaking the glass. Well, breaking it more. Bottles, pitchers, possibly window pieces, glass fit for recycling or foot torment from a horror movie.


As for the technological inquiry? Yes, Circe knows that there are mapping programs online in a variety of details, both for practical and entertainment purposes.
