Emerald eyes look up and down the fence. The Dread Lord looks to the Summer queen.

"Fence? I thought we were making for the door?" he whispers quietly.

That wouldn't slow them down much, she thought eyeing the fence that was in their path.

"We would've, but fer the lack of silence," Circe confirms to Rhodes as she eyes the fence. Then just takes out her Hedgespun multi tool and resets it into wire cutters. "Ya can hope the barbed wire or wait fer me ta cut it out," she clicks the wire cutters a for emphasis, then starts to work on making a hole in the fence.


With their plans for attack, a busted fence would be the least suspicious thing.

The drooping sense of Sorrow was tempting, but in spite of Seraphina's overwhelming presence and him almost screwing up the whole operation before it really began Gerrit didn't want to push his luck.
Seraphina's words weren't able to hurt him right now - her voice was too enchanting, her beauty too radiant. "Thank you." He parroted, trying to start moving in the direction Seraphina was talking about. Part of him knew that they had to get moving, but another part didn't want to move away from the Fairest.

Free to leave with Gerrit, all that is needed now, is to avoid the attention she'd garnered and regroup with Circe and Rhodes.


For the Monarchs Summer and Autumn, the fence stands in their way, ready and waiting to be cut.

As for Sera you'll need to drop the Contract to avoid the attention, but you could always keep it on and go the opposite way to draw attention away from Circe and Rhodes, before dropping the Contract and doubling back

[Seraphina]

Sounded like Gerrit was focused on her as well, and that was good. Cause they needed to move. While she didn’t doubt her appearance and skills, everything had its limit.

“Thank you both,” replies the Fairest, “I hope you both have a wonderful rest of your night.” A hand finding Gerrits shoulder, eager to lead him away.

But where? Which way had Circe gone?

She thinks she remembers the general direction, but wasn’t sure if it would lead them past the guards again. Which could screw the whole story up. So she plans to back track far enough to get out of range of the guards, then try going around, in the direction she hopes the Summer Queen has gone. Keeping her Contract up, she tries to pull her hat down lower.

Emerald eyes glance upward to the top of the fence and back to Circe. "I'll wait."

While Circe handled the fence, Rhodes kept an eye behind her for anyone heading their way.

[Circe]

Circe hadn't used Google or Youtube to figure out how to go commando on cutting fences. She'd read biographies of commandoes instead! Brilliant, right? Apparently holding the fence with one hand would help it not shake or make noise, though it was often best done by somebody else. Perhaps Rhodes would help so she'd two hands to focus on the cutting.


"Might be difficult one handed," she whispers Rhodes, "but quiet is better than fast. Less ya wanna help hold it."

Gerrit let Seraphina lead him away from the gawking people, away from the evidence of the mess he brought them in. And in the few moments, where his mind wasn't basically forced to notice the Fairest, he came to a realization. The Wyrd was still punishing him for putting his trust in Cassandra and John, and while it might be virtuous to try and help anyway, he was severely compromising th chances of success for the others.
And this wasn't a mere Hedge Patrol - for all they knew this operation meant the difference between harming Anne or putting their most valued members of the Freehold at risk.
"I- I have to go." Once out of sight of the onlookers, Gerrit stepped away from Seraphina. "Thank you for stepping in for me. I, uh-" Just as he stumbled over his own feet, he was stumbling over his words now in an attempt to properly thank this angelic being that saved him.

If Seraphina was to object, he'd try his best to ignore out the all too convincing voice. He was dead-weight here, at best.

Gerrit leaves the scene.

Gerrit stumbles off, placing the needs of the mission over his need to see it through. He might not be much help anyway what with the Curse hanging over his head.

Seraphina remembers the which way Circe and Rhodes snuck off too, and head the opposite way, drawing the guard's eye away from where Circe was snipping the fence.

If you want to sneak over to where Circe and Rhodes are Seraphina , you need to drop the Clause, and roll Dex+Stealth three times

There was nothing she could do as he left. Just…left. If she shouted after him, she would risk drawing unwanted attention.

What happened?

Well, whatever it was, she couldn’t leave Circe to fight on her own. So, dropping the Clause, she tries to sneak her way towards where she saw the Summer sneak off. Hoping she could catch up before anything went down.
