"Cool," she smiles and leads. Well, it looks like everyone is coming along, grand! Hopefully nobody pulls a faux pas this time.


Circe smirks in a smarmy way as Sonnie breaks the ice. Circe scrunches up her nose briefly before she starts talking. Still with the Italian accent, but less informal than her usual: "Maybe you should ask if he is 21 before offering something so spicy," she looks at Bat Man as she puts emphasis on 21. She remembered the code system, thank you very much.

The Grey Hood, doesn't start when the Lost join him, not even when Sonnie gets all up in his space, chips on offer. He just looks at them, giving them a look of the eternally tired. Closer now, the Lost see his sallow skin, gucci eye bags, and a fresh scar pulling from his lip and up, disappearing into the dark of the hood. Sonnie, with her very intimate experiences, knows that this scar was created by a great predator.

Looking between them, then focusing on Circe, or trying to. His eyes keep straying to Sera, but eventually he replies, with a dry, gravely, need water, hasn't spoken in a while, voice, "Well, I'm not 12."

"We can see that. You look just around 19." Gerrit committed the code they've agreed upon to memory, he had posted it to the notice board. He even went and re-read it before coming here, so it was good to know the work wasn't in vain. Now everybody should be on the same page, ready to actually start the diplomacy. The Stonebones glanced at the other Lost briefly before looking back at the contact.

The Ogre searched the Union member's face - it looked bad. He couldn't help but think of his own scars, about Arcadia and the terrible wonders it entailed. Long story short: he wasn't all there when looking at the wounds of their guy.

The tone is clear that she is serious about the respect, "Also I'm sorry ta say I'm better at fixing objects, not healing people," she looks to Seraphina with a questioning eyebrow.


Maybe offering healing would work too? You don't shoot the people that patch up your friends.

Sapphires look to Sonnie, ‘bat guy’? The real question, did she mean cute fuzzy flying bats, or ones that could be used as weapons and in baseball games? She really should have asked for an update before agreeing to whatever this was.

There was a feeling of comfort having her best friend close by. Cause, stranger danger and all that.
Hey! No chip was offered to her! Not that she really wanted one, but still!

So first there was something about him being bat guy, and something about him being 21 before having a chip?

But before too much time could be spent on that, she notices the scar, and the voice. Reaching into her bag, she pulls out a sealed bottle of water, offering it to him with a friendly smile, while checking out the scar and how he was, well, doing.

Even Gerrit with the numbers? What the hell guys?! Should she throw out a number too? Was that what they were doing? The logical part of her told her to stay quiet unless she knew what was going on.

But when Circe mentions healing, she feels she has to speak up, “If healing is needed, I am more than happy to help.” Sure, she could try and wing it mundane, but she knew it was better in the Hedge, away from prying eyes. If the guy wanted to be healed anyways.

Union guy did not take a chip? How rude. Sonnie wasn't offended, however. This just meant more chips for herself! Win! She eyed the scar a moment, but said nothing about it as she withdrew from Grey Hood's personal space. "Suit yourself, dude!"

She blinked as Circe and Gertir started spouting off numbers.

Oh, right! There was some kinda code! I totally forgot! Man, I'd suck at being a spy.

Standing back as coded greetings were exchanged, the Beast quelled the urge to start spouting off random numbers as a joke. It'd be funny -- to her, and probably no one else. Usually that wouldn't stop her, but this was a sensitive situation. So, she quietly offered Sera a chip, instead.

Nodding when the first 19 was spoken, then snorted when the second was.

"What's in the bag?" gravel over glass, a stark difference to the voice bat-guy has months ago.

Gerrit, looking at the Grey Hood, and what he knows and sees of his own always scared and bruised self, definately knows that he's fine. It's definately SFX makeup. He probably wanted to make it so the Lost would feel something of him. Pity, maybe?

Circe takes his appearance in, but lets it wash over her. There's more important things to think about. Like business!

Sera, being the magically Entitled medical professional, looks at the Grey Hood and knows that he hasn't been sleeping, but anyone with eyes could see that. His pallor, and that fresh, barely healed scar, says that it's probably anemia, brought on by blood loss. Or maybe, by his voice and how he's been swallowing, he hasn't been getting enough water. He might have landed himself firmly into dehydration. Or, if they were really unlucky, it might be both.


"I ain't need no magical healing bullshit." eyes following Sonnie, and her chips as she moves away from him.

[Circe]

"Ah, that, would be an upgraded version of yer, uh," Circe searches for a way to phrase it in the open, "Parkour hoodies. Lil' extra protection ta prevent injuries," Circe pauses in thought for a second then grimaces. Her ear droops and she is audibly embarrassed and rubs the back of her head. "Yeeeeeah. I'm, uh, ssss, yeah. It's lil' late I can see that. Damn rings are hard ta make and my fingers were in medical tape for a while. It is yers ta keep, regardless of anything else."


Circe raisers her right eyebrow and ear as the man rejects her healing option. That was just rude of him to ignore the offer of help from Sera like that. "Ms. Nurse was just offering," she says in Seraphina's defense. Figured the guy would be more in favor of off the books medical care. In his hobby, it would be very useful to avoid arrest.


She didn't even know if 'ling healing worked on mundies, but Seraphina knew more about first aid than anybody else Circe knew in town. If healing them without Glamour got les hostility, well that was a bonus.

What to make of this? Was this guy fishing for sympathy? Or was he trying to intimidate them? A painful knot was forming in Gerrit's stomach - this was not boding well. Did the others notice it as well? Seraphina had offered to help.. but then again, it was typical of her to answer each and every call for help. Even the fake ones.

He would have to stay vigilant. Circe was carrying on with the peace offerings, and apparently the grey hood was not in the mood to chit-chat: every reply not about business seemed to irritate him further. So Gerrit was standing back. Nervously.
