[Crystal]

There were a lot of reasons why Crystal wasn't particularly looking forward to this official gathering. Most of them had to do with Eulogy's sudden departure, Guru's emergency and the bureaucratic shit that followed those news. He wasn't sweating the effective disbanding of their Cabal - at least that was not something he planned to bring up or discuss today - but of course it sucked. It sucked on so many levels.

To make him feel a little bit better he pulled a few strings to get his hands on a piece of the newest Hermès spring collection. Loose pants and an ensemble of a shirt and a light coat, both in the same pastel-printed fabric. Sure, it seemed casual but to hell with those that didn't want tight hierarchies but suddenly demanded a dress-code. Besides, he pulled it off.

Inside he smiled at all the known faces (having to check twice for Rails but at least that one stuck to his word) and beelined straight to Phoenyx . On the way he noticed a new guy - Crystal vaguely remembered him from last month. He really wasn't in the mood for chipper introductions, but he also didn't want to seem like they were in crisis mode today. Because they weren't. So he made a quick detour. "Hello there. I'm Crystal, Councilor of the Mastigos. I take it you're new here? If so I'm sure things will get sorted out in a minute - sorry, I need to speak to another Councilor right now."

He was pretty sure that he didn't come across as if Apollo was totally unimportant to him, but then again you never knew.

When he arrived at Phoenyx he nodded at Moira and Zeromancer and waited for them to finish before addressing the First Talon. "Hello Councilor. Have you seen Puck yet? I'd like to have a word with you before we begin."

[Corn]

Corn greeted the newcomers, Aurora , Crystal and Zeromancer more warmly. " Has anyone seen Belle or Guru ? " Corn asked. Guru's absence was especially noticed, as he hasn't seen his friend and fellow alchemist in months.

" Moira , do you want to grab coffee with some of us some time? Socially. Get to know each other. " he asked the hyperactive woman. "Aurora, how goes your studies? Any... announcements to make?"

[Puck]

Guess who's not-so-fashionably...on...time? Well that's not right.

Judging by the way the Enchanter rushed into the Circle, it was safe to assume he didn't realize he wasn't late. His attendance had lapsed recently, and he was figuring after last month he was late. Sure he could stop and look at a clock, but who has time for that. Fate is about not having to put effort into the little things like that. As he entered and saw the people crowding around Phoenyx, Puck decided to join in.

"The magnificent Moira is a fellow Enchanter and one of mine. Muscles is Apollo and he's one of Guru's." Fingers point the two out for reference before pointing to Rails and Zeromancer. "Uh, I have no idea who those two are but the scary looking dude with Corn was here last month so I assume he's squared away?"

He looks at Corn to be sure. Speaking of?

"Apollo, consider yourself recognized unless Guru shows up to recognize you himself."

Boom. Problem solved. Sure, this is the only concilium where anyone could recognize a new mage of another path, but what did it really matter? Why aspire to be knowledgeable and consistent when it was so much easier to simply embrace the lazy ignorance of convenience? Puck the existentialist is officially out.

[Belle]

Speak of the devil and she will appear...

Corn's utterance of Belle's name barely stops ringing in the Circle's halls when Belle comes in, walking as briskly as her heels would allow. She's decided to doll herself up just a tad for any official business with a navy blue blazer and dress pants. She takes a moment to collect herself as she surveys the Magi currently present. Okay, so...new gal...new guy...new guy? Rails almost passes for a stray pillar in her quick scan of the room. Or maybe it was just her mind being a bit scattered. She did move a bit more quickly to get in.

She sees Crystal begin to group up with Phoenyx. Must be something important. So she makes a general wave out to those assembled. ​"Hi, everyone!" She drifts a bit to the side, not quite sitting yet but waiting for whoever wants to approach her.

[Zeromancer]

Zeromancer saw the others begin to walk in shortly after he got there. He waved back at Aurora , and waved for her to have a seat with him. He also sent a wave to Winter to get him to come over. He had wanted to pick his brain on the possible Banisher sighting.

And another new face, who declined to introduce himself. Phoenyx could not recall the last time so many new face showed up at once. She was also relieved that Winter had arrived, though it did not show. After last meeting's comments on attendance, it was good he was here. She hoped Viggo would show up soon.

Crystal seemed rushed. She watched his approach, and was just about to open her mouth when the subject of his question came barrelling in behind him and wasted no time in being a social tour de force. She gestured for Crystal to look behind him as the Acanthus Councillor entered. Puck helped round out the introductions quickly and, a little more confusingly, wasted no time in declaring Apollo a member of the Concillium. It happened so fast it was a little confusing, but once she had taken a second the strangest thing about Puck's statement was the assumption Guru would not be here and taking control to acknowedge others straight away. It didn't matter, particularly, but surely it would have been respectful to wait for the Thyrsius Councillor - not that such a thing had ever really bothered Puck before, in Phoenyx's experience.

She looked at the gathering crowd. "This is Rails and Zeromancer," she offered to Puck, completing the introductions. "We have a Council of Paths in this Concillium - I am sure we will be able to ensure all of you are recognised members, if that is what you wish. Obrimos, Acanthus, Mastigos," she added, gesturing to each of the Councillors in turn. "Hopefully the other Councilors, Magi Guru and Eulogy, will be along shortly, but if they are absent, as Councillor Puck has done, we will attend the formalities." She looks around, offering Belle a small smile at her arrival. "If you would all excuse me for a moment."

The Arrow looks to Crystal, gesturing slightly away from the crowd. "Councillor?"

Seemed there was something going on based off Crystal. Was it about Guru being gone? Did Crystal know before she did?

Either way, she stays where she is. Guru had asked her to stand in place for him afterall.

Looking to Corn, there was a nod, “There has been a breakthrough, but I’d rather talk about that a bit later if you don’t mind.” A small smile. Her new Mastery could wait until the Councilor thing was done.

Then Puck. Seemed he was content to step up and recognize a Shaman. Not that she minded, it got it done and over with. “He won’t be able to, out of town business called, and has asked me to fill in until he is able to return. The Thrysrus Path see’s no reason to not have Apollo recognized.” And there it is was. Did she like it? Nope. But she was doing this for Guru who stepped in when she needed a break.

A wave and smile to Belle, “Hey Belle!” she was glad Belle was sticking around, girl was growing on her.

Spotting Zero, there was a smile and nods but holds up a finger indicating she’d join him in just a second.

She was sure Phoenyx had heard her announcement, so she doesn’t repeat it. But she does follow her friend, this was her thing now until Guru returned.

Moira turned a bit hearing Rails voice and jumped a little. He needs a bell! She turned a bit, as she had been facing Pheonyx to say hi to her, and then turned to him warmly. “Hi. I’m Moira, Acanthus Apostate.” She stuck out a hand for him to shake if he wanted too. Her warm brown eyes tracking his own gaze. If he took the offered hand, her handshake was practiced like it was something she was used to doing.


To Phoenyx's inquiry she smiled and was about to answer, but she walked away after excusing herself, so maybe another time! This was an official meeting, and she was a Councilor. She had bigger fish to fry. Besides, Puck had her squared away already.


Moira waved to Apollo when she saw him. “Hey Apollo! Good to see you.” And it was. He was the only other Apostate in the city. Which naturally made her feel a bit of kinship. Surely, not the same kinship she felt when she was around Puck, but still. Neither of them had really found their sticking place yet with the Orders. It gave them something concrete in common.


Seeing Winter , and boy wasn’t it nice to recognize people this go round? It sure was! She waved brightly and energetically to his nod. He took up the same spot as he had last meeting. Clearly he was content with his seat. She liked that about him. Winter. It was so fitting for him. The deep quiet and stillness was an excellent metaphor for him.


She noted Crystal…..and his asking about Puck. Boy. They sure wondered what her councilor was up to. Still she managed a small smile and wave to Crystal before he disappeared to the convening of the Councilors.

Corn addressed her and she turned to him with a full megawatt smile. All the hustle and bustle of Consilium was starting to get the enchanter excited and hyper. She nodded in agreement, watching him for a moment. “I would love to have coffee with you and others at a foreseeable future date! Absolutely! Call me!” She said sweetly, and fished out a piece of paper , and used his shoulder as a writing desk briefly to write out her number. Not a name. Just the number. In case his wife found it and threatened to cut his junk off, he had plausible deniability!


And just on the heels of the invite was her councilor Puck hauling buns like a bread truck. Moira giggled a little watching her fellow Enchanter. She’d been there loads of times. As usual Time was on his side! She performed a little bow at the ‘magnificent Moira’ quip. And fluttered her eyelashes at her fellow enchanter flippantly and clearly joking! What a kidder! Ha ha. “It’s good to see you as always Councilor.” She said softly, and a touch formally. This was an official meeting after all.


“Heeey Belle ! How are you living, girl? Your timing is superb! I think they are getting started soon!” She said with a manic grin. Clearly the type that was excitable with lots of company. Boy it showed. She was practically vibrating with energy.


Aurora seemed to be getting roped in to pulling some weight for her Councilor Guru. Good on her to step up, the enchanter thought quietly to herself. A thread of anxiety entered her and her gaze moved to Puck briefly, but dropped quickly, as there was too much going on for that small thread of fear that went through her to take root.

[Crystal]

Puck arrived, so that made things easier - it meant Crystal didn't have to tell everything three times. Phoenyx got the idea and pulled away and.. Aurora followed her? Did she already know about- well fuck, they were the only two Shamans in town. It made sense. That didn't mean he didn't trust Crystal. Nah.

He had to pull himself together. "Councilor Puck, a word over here please?" And then he joined Phoenyx and Aurora.

This sucked.

[Rails]

Introductions. More introductions. New folks showing up all the time. Rails can feel himself becoming wallpaper. Good.

He gives Winter a subtle nod. Glad to see him.

When Puck announces what should be obvious (that nobody knows who the fuck Rails is), the Mastigos gives the Acanthus a wry smile and a small shrug. Not really volunteering to remedy the situation. Anyway, Phoenyx takes care of things.

The Councilors withdraw and Rails is dying to eavesdrop on whatever it is they're discussing. But Moira turns around, fixes him with those eyes. For a second, the Warlock appears shocked she's noticed him. And then he returns her smile, though he seems a bit uncomfortable. Not used to direct attention from striking women.

"Oh yeah, hey." Like he's remembering how to have a conversation. "Nice to meet you." There's a beat as he considers the hand. Decides to take it. Where her shake is practiced, his is furtive. Quick. "I'm guessing you're a recent transplant too?" Acanthus. Fuck. Why's she got to be so beautiful? Doesn't provide his own Path or Order affiliations in return. Maybe he forgot.

As he speaks, his eyes drift over to the gathered Councilors. But he can't seem to keep them from returning to Moira, however. Stay on point, asshole.
