Kaze smiles as Guru enters, chatting up the whole room with his usual irrepressible energy! He offers snacks, not cookies or cake this time, but 'jerky'. Huh. Kudos for the protein but hard pass. Home made jerky is just...no. Nice thought though.
Puck introduces himself and his grievance with Anima to Eulogy. And takes a seat. He seems...watchful. Armed with his new understanding of where the Voter is coming from... Kaze still feels like it's kind of weird how like one of the first things he wants people to know about him is that he's a Councillor, but whatever. It's cool. I mean, it's actually helpful for new people to know who the Councillors are....
Eulogy all of a sudden seems like a social butterfly, with everyone saying hi to him and welcoming him back and asking how he is. It's cool. Kaze feels it himself, the lift with knowing that someone who left came back. So many people leave, and not very many of them come back.
The gum is interesting. So is the way he talks. '...moniker...' is interesting. Maybe the guy is into black and white gangster movies.... So is the implication that Mordechai is his true name. Wow. If he's really just putting that out there, well...wow.
Then there's more shopping talk. Malls and credit cards and stuff. Huh, a corporate credit card for buying clothes? Maybe being a mortician, his clothes are a work expense...and maybe he's incorporated...? He is a snappy dresser anyway.
Kaze smiles when he offers his business card. "Sure, if you're offering, I'm up for taking a card, thanks!" He says. He doesn't ask if the guy picks up bodies on the scene, like in John Wick. Probably not funny to him, since it's his profession, and he really seems into it, like he wants to be treated with respect for the work he does. Which is cool.
There's those word choices again, 'machinations'. Interesting. If he didn't know better, he'd think the guy was a Time Mage instead of a specialist in the Death arcana. There's something about him like...he's older than he looks. Or probably just used to dealing with a lot of older people, and learned to talk in a way that makes them comfortable. Dress that way too.
Speaking of stylish dressers, Campanella is styling today! Nice suit!
Kaze nods when Campanella acknowledges him, smiling respectfully and looking impressed at his ensemble.
Winter seems content to just kind of keep track of who's here and who isn't, and doesn't try to draw Kaze out, which is just as well. Kaze just isn't comfortable volunteering well, hardly anything about his personal activities or life in general to the Guardian. He'd step up if the Guardian put out a call for help on something, but he isn't planning on letting his guard down around him.
It's cool though, how Winter really does seem genuinely friendly towards Aurora. He hopes that doesn't come back to bite her someday.
Corn is so focused on the Mysterium business. Funny, he mentions Crystal, who really doesn't seem as into it, to Kaze. But Crystal also doesn't seem like the type to advertise what he's really interested in, so maybe he's just low key about it in public, and geeks out in the private mystery meetings.
Corn seems surprised to hear that Puck is a Councillor. Now, that is kind of weird, because Puck has mentioned it at least once whenever they get together, but maybe Corn just isn't as keyed into the formalities. He does seem to have a little bit of the 'absent minded professor' thing going on. He's smart, in a book learning kind of way, of that much Kaze is sure.
Kaze catches Aurora's nod about learning. He's eager to work out some time where he can learn the fine tips of Shapechanging from her. She chats with Eulogy, kind of acknowledges Puck's 'plaintiff' comment, and then is totally focused on Campanella. Yeah, looks like maybe she's in on something he's been up to, and has been waiting for him to get back. Or something. Kaze can't really tell. It's not his business anyway, unless Campanella has something to tell everyone about, like other times.
