    Mien:
    Leathery scars, bruises and scaly scabs cover the whole hairless body. There is a certain symmetry to the disfigurements, the color of the visible skin ranging from pale pink to purple and dark red. Lately patches of dark blue and black - frostbite - have appeared on his skin and some of the scabs have frozen over and crystalized.
    His right hand shows a copper-coloured, wilted and flaky scar, engulfing most of his palm and the inside of his wrist. Next to frostbite and bruised scars it adds a third layer of wounds bore by the Ogre.

    Mantle:
    Contrast seem to grow slightly more stark around Gerrit, the crisp clearness of a winter morning. Sometimes the sound of ice forming or breaking can be heard in a short, brisk snap. When using Contracts a subtle, biting cold can be felt around Gerrit - pins and needles prick both the Onyx and those close to him.

    Crown:
    Solid, thick panes of clear ice symmetrically arranged around his head with fern frost at the base.

    Only a result of 10 on a die is considered a success. Should a given die result in no successes, the failure is considered to be a dramatic failure, though the oathbreaker may spend a point of willpower to negate this, making it a regular failure.

    Seeing Anatole break free was a big relief for Gerrit. They were close to getting out of here, he just needed to made sure the Dwarf actually makes it through the gate. He heard Cassandra, authority still strong in her voice and nodded. But he didn't quite move - what if the Bloodsuckle got Anatole again? Gerrit wouldn't leave the Wizened behind.

    Holding my action until after the Bloocksuckle went.


    Equipment: Backpack - 1 bottle of water, first aid kit, rope, 'Beginner's guide to Hedgespinning'.

    Six foot, barrel chested, and didn't skip leg day. Ram is a muscle bound behemoth. His face and body are scarred from numerous injuries and his movements look stilted with pain occasionally. Still, his craggy face does soften occasionally.

    Mien
    Ram looks like he could knuckle walk if he wanted. His arms and chest are enormous. More akin to a gorilla than human. His skin is an amalgamation of stony hide with fire cracks running through it and pieces of Fey machinery grafted at the joints. Segmented pieces of metal are bolted to run down his spine legs. Wood covers his skull with willow leaves providing hair, while curved bone horns sprout from the foliage.

    Ram took a second to wave his hands over the woman and the chair, as if doing that would cast a spell that would keep it from falling over or the person from coming to harm while he was gone. For some reason he was worried that he'd somehow placed her in a way that would end up with her tumbling down the stairs in an avalanche of wood and packed soil.

    "Just... stay," he said, finishing the 'spell', then he rushed back down the stairs under the tunnel lights.

    He got to the door and a quick assessment. Anatole was free. They just needed to get inside. He took one step through but kept his arm in the doorway, holding the gate open.

    "Run!" he shouted, even as the rage inside said he should be attacking the enemy plant that had hunted them through the Hedge. But now was not the time for vengeance. Not when others were at risk.

    The bloodsuckle seems to spasm, it mass of roots flex and flail, as they grip into the ground and hauls itself forward! Gaining a surprising amount of speed for a plant, even one that could move on it's own.




    Bloodsuckle's acted! Moving at a 'run' to get to teh Gate before the others! Gerrit 's up!

    Gerrit shut off the part of his brain that wanted to just run to safety as he saw the grotesque mass of vines move like this. He'd have to make sure Anatole got out.
    He moved towards the door, but wouldn't go through as long as the Dwarf wasn't safe either. Could Anatole handle himself? Probably, but the Ogre didn't want to selfishly look after himself in the belief that the others didn't need him anymore.

    This wasn't good and what's worse - Gerrit couldn't think of a way to immediately help Anatole. It's not like he could just pick up and carry the stocky man, and the Dwarf would probably fight tooth and nail to prevent that too. They were this close to getting out of there. After all the things they've experienced it felt like weeks in the Hedge. "Come on." He grunted through his teeth, watching Anatole stumble towards the door.

    Ram stepped back inside, it didn't look like Anatole would make it through the door in time. Damn. But he didn't want to abandon the choke point of the gate. If they could just get through, he could slam it closed and hold it closed till it deactivated.

    Or the bloodsuckle would grab again and he'd have to kill it.
