(2101) Sanctuary

[Skye]

A respectful nod given to the first talon as she arrived, feeling a bit relieved to have her back here for these things. For a while she had been the only Arrow seen and if that continued to long so would it not work well with her own goals.

And there was Naga again that was nice to see.
"Hope you had a good time, do not worry things remained rather calm over the holidays." Stilling her own mind from her previous thoughts, she had really been to on as of late.

"Happy new year Anima, may this year bring you more delights than any prior to it."

Taking one the cookies.
"Sounds good, lets have a good old fashioned workout session the body always does like to be active."

Then wow Phoenyx gave a grand speech that was unexpected still she remained by her position and listened to it whilst keeping an eye on both all in attendance and if anyone would enter. Moving her smile a bit as her name was mentioned but only for a brief second.

[Crystal]

Crystal returned Kaze's wave, Aurora's nod and Corn's greeting - but he couldn't quite hide his bewilderment. Apart from people not outright standing around Guru's baked goods, the atmosphere was not that different from the unofficial get-togethers the Awakened had. He also noted that some people hadn't shown up yet: most notably Campanella, but hadn't there been a bear-ish guy and the girl with 'Two words. One attitude - incredibly grumpy' written all over her face?

Crystal's slouched a bit into his seat, kicking himself for expecting too much.

Then the First Talon held a speech and the Mastigos straightened up a bit. So this was the opening of the official part, coupled with an introduction and an excuse for the lack of structure around here, huh? Was she the one leading the meeting? Did it not matter that not everyone's present? Was he supposed to officially introduce himself now?

Fuck, days like these gave the Warlock a whole new appreciation for authority. He considered for a moment, then he stood up and raised his voice. "Hello. I've been here a few weeks already, but I'd like to formally introduce myself to the Consilium." In other cities, they'd probably tear him a new one for not having an elder bring this up or introduce him, but given what he'd seen so far he might as well take the initiative.

If there was no one to speak out against it, Crystal moved to the front to properly address the gathered Awakened. "My name is Crystal, I am a Mystagogue of the Path of Scourging. I go by Chris in the presence of Sleepers." He waited a moment for some sort of recognition or even questions and when all was said and done he went back to his place. Now the day might as well just waste away - he had done his part.

[Kaze]

Kaze resists a whimsical impulse to clap and say, welcome Crystal like it's a recovery meeting of Mages Anonymous. It's weird how informal and well disorganized they are now. He nods and smiles welcomingly to Crystal.

"Um. Thanks, I'm going to pass this time. Don't want to have my mouth full if I get asked something official." Kaze says quietly in response to Corn's offer, making a mental note that hints and hushed tones maybe don't work so well with Corn.

He grins at Aurora. Yes. She looks good in red. She should wear it all the time.

He sighs inside, to himself at Winter's words.

"I'm available to help." Kaze offers to Winter. Take it or leave it.

[Aurora]

Nods, waves and smiles were all returned, but Naga gets more of a response, “Hey Naga! Good to see you!”

She wasn’t expecting such a big speech from Phoenyx. But given that she was First Talon, it seemed to be important. Plus, new faces.

Now Winter’s words caught her attention, “Oh? Well, there are certainly some who appears eager to get into something. Always good to see new faces step up. Is it anything exciting?”

[Naga]

A friendly nod was given to Skye , "I did, thank you. Quite a relaxing time, really. I trust it went as well for you?"
Aurora received a smile, "You, too. I hope everything is going well for you, Master Aurora."

Naga's attention was drawn towards Crystal , who also received a nod. "Ah, a fellow Mastigos. Welcome."

[Corn]

Corn nodded at the introductions but didn't have anything to add, so he simply gave a nod to Crystal making his introduction. Kaze 's willingness to work with the Guardians was unexpected. But Guardians were necessary, so better Kaze than someone else.

[Mark]

Corn and Skye 's greetings are returned. "And you as well Skye. It is always my pleasure to assist with any calling in the new year you may hear."

His attention is quickly captured by Winter and his call for aid. The scariest man in Sacramento has proved a relatively trustworthy, albeit, threatening ally in the past. They'd brushed with the enemy and still lived after all. "Are we searching for the forgers of the artifact Mr. Winter?"

[Guru]

"There we go, yea." Guru applauded as Phoenyx finished, that level of to the point really what the Consilium needed right now. Yea but, didn't you bring cookies? Yea, I'm also an apostate. Maybe that's why. Bro. Bummer, not cool. Though he really couldn't help but look around the room when the word cabal was dropped and not hiding that either. Not that he could.


He took a bite of a cookie, at least he had those. "I can give it a chemist's point of view. Worst case I'll make sure you don't starve to death." He smiled and raised the bag of cookies, though there were a lot of other methods at his disposal.


"Hell yea Skye." He smiled and held out his fist for a bump. He didn't know why but anytime anyone introduced themselves he really wanted to make airhorn noises with his mouth. It took a concerted effort of will on his point not to do it. He really did have a lot of energy to burn off.

[Phoenyx]

Phoenyx, nods, acknowleging Winter's offer. He hadn't always been one for open cooperation, so that was curious enough.

"Thank you," she adds to Crystal. "I hope you are able to integrate easily."

She looks around, listening to people's comments. Guru's applause makes her brow furrow, confused, but she tries to carry on.

She loooks to Winter. "Magus Winter, perhaps you could elaborate on this investigation?" She asks calmly, gesturieng towards him.

[Puck]

So one cabal, which Guru seems thrilled about. No threats, which was neat. Some shit about a charter Puck didn't see. Also were people still saying hello? Official business time means let the people with Things to Do talk. Mental notes on who not to watch movies with were being made at the very least.

Puck simply watched Phoenyx speak. They'd have a chance to meet and chat at one of the informals. Part of him didn't want to turn his attention to Winter though. Nothing personal to him, but dramatic attention grab much? Say the thing. Why be all 'I need help' but not say what the thing you need help with is? Is he building suspense? Is that the normal way of recruiting in Sacramento?

Puck looks at the guardian grudgingly.
