A shallow nod, looking at her cup for a moment, “When my connection to the Wyrd increased, so did my nightmares and the memories. And it’s very disconcerting. As to why the nightmares are bad? It could be. I’ve always been plagued by them, but like I said, they got worse overtime. Not sure if there is a connection there or not, but it’s not pleasant.” She was lucky enough to have someone to help her.
“That is the hardest part, for everyone involved. It’s part of the reason I refused the position of Monarch for so long. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do that, and I had to learn to do it.” That and the whole idea scared her. Failure was terrifying for her. “It sure does seem that way, and I hope it stays that way as well. I dislike conflict, especially within a Freehold. But, it’s part of life, and we often have to deal with things we don’t like.” Seeing her cup empty, she sets it aside. Smiling, “There really is something magical about that first snow fall. I’ve missed it in my time here in Sacramento.” Sure, she could drive to Tahoe, but, meh.
“Wait, you can get hitched at some kind of show? Now that could be fun! Throw tradition out the window and just have a great time!” she could get behind that.
“I hope you do try your hand at it sometime. I had a good friend who was a Hedgespinner, extremely talented. And she made me my jacket, but also helped me learn. So if I can be of help with teaching, or gathering ingredients, I’m more than happy.” A gentle smile. “Oh! Now I’m eager to find out!” her face lighting up.
“But, it’s getting late. As much as I could sit in here all night and chat with you, I promised Rhodes I’d pick up dinner. Neither one of us is much of a cook, though I keep intending to take classes.” And just never getting around to it. “Thank you for meeting with me, I’ve loved chatting and getting to know you!” her tone genuine.
Figuring we're coming up on the 30 day mark so might as well begin to wrap
