(Broken Cycle) Spreading the Word

"Not trying to step on toes so feel free to disagree but with who we have right now two teams of three would be the best. Unless we can get anyone else to help. I'd suggest Sonnie, Coco, and either Yamiyo or Seraphina for the physical team. Rhodes, Myself, and Seraphina or Yamiyo on the dream side of things.


"I can help you spot on ambush, I can try and spot guards and lookouts but when the actual fighting breaks out I'm dead weight and won't be able to provide any sort of assistance. Not my forte. Hard part is going to be timing, it's likely that one team will have it harder than the other if they get to their goal first but I can't think of any way to synchronize it.

Names rang dim memories in his head - his childhood from another life. Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat - and Jubilee. X-men. The memories were fuzzy.... The time in the Eternal Garden clouded so much of it. Still...

The Monkey had hands for feet. That made her Beast, obviously - Gender roles be damned. But now, of course, he had an image to maintain. Sonnie was easily distracted at her most focused. Best move swiftly on.

Sera and James' word have him thinking. "That... makes sense," he replies to James slowly. "I'm not sure how much help healing people in dreams will be at this time, darling," he adds, glancing to Sera. "First it sounds like dream distraction and Arson. Take out the symbol - in this case, the Hedge structure of a stag- and undermine the authority. Sonnie's idea works - we just need a target to point him at afterwards." He looks across. "As for timings... give the dreamers say... 2 hours to track him down and make some noise before makign a move to attack?"

He shrugs. "All that remains is which way round to have Lady Sera and Miss Lillich." The sentence is slow. He knows exactly how he would do it, but he knew how much Sera hated being coddled. She could fight - better than he could, by a long way - and the hedge team may well need her.

[Sonnie Wu]

"Might I suggest Circe for the Hedge team, too? All her guns would be nice to have if those Briarwolves are still around." Sonnie was pretty sure you couldn't bring guns into a dream, anyway.

"Yeah! Let's burn that mother to the ground!" The Beast was weirdly excited by the idea of arson. It was something new to try! She pondered a moment, "Anyone know how to make Molotov cocktails? Asking for a friend."

"Getting to the effigy is the sticky part," she thought out loud, "We gotta go off the trod to get there through the Hedge, and there's, like I said, Briarwolves in the area. Or we go through that door in the alley... and the Creepy Cult o' the Huntsman is hanging around there."

She looked at Sera, "Kitty Pride! Shadowcat? One of the X-Men? She walks through walls?" Was she the only geek here? That's sad.

[Seraphina]

The Nix listens, bouncing ideas around in her head, trying figure out where she would be most useful.

And Rhodes made an excellent point. If she was with them in the Dream, she not only couldn’t heal, but wasn’t as powerful as he was with Combat there.

Her hands absently put her gloves back on.

Glancing to Sonnie, “Circe would be very useful.” No denying that. “And I would suggest going by the cult again. It’s the quickest way to go where we need. The cult can be dealt with through distraction if need be.” That was easy.

As much as she hated it, she was most useful with the ground team. Her heart wanted to go with Rhodes in the Dreams, but her head knew she couldn’t.

Still focused on her hands, “Sounds like I will be more useful going into the Hedge. I can provide a distraction if needed, fight and heal should someone need it.” Did she like it? No, not in the slightest. But she can’t always be by his side.

[Yamiyo Lillich]

Listening to them plan, not really having much to say they knew her skill set and they were most certainly better at planning than she were so it was best to leave them be.

She had her reasons to fear both teams for their own reasons as well as she wanted to be on both teams for conflicting reasons but to say any of them aloud would just sound silly, lovesick or pathetic so it was better to just let them throw her where they saw her skills most needed.

"I will go wherever you think I can be of best aid and do all I can."

There was no need to say more, she wasn't entirely sure what would happen but as they decided so would she most likely soon see what she could do and do all that she could to help and to see what kind of equipment she should bring along with her. Hmm she should really consider taking some first aid classes and learn some medicine skills that might come in handy.

[Coco]

"I'm still not the greatest chef, but I guarantee I can make some molotov cocktails. All you need is gas, glass, and some rags, don't you?" Coco chimed in, cheered on by Sonnie's enthusiasm. Not that she was fond of voyaging into the hedge with a Fae around, she'd much rather meet them on cold, hard concrete, but the molotovs were a brilliant idea, at least from her perspective.

[James Turner]

"Either point it at a target or undermine its authority enough that it slips up and we capitalize on its mistake. IF we have the advantage it's usually best to press it. Normally Chaos and Disorder are good, but it is the Wild Hunt." He shrugged, he didn't know if that was a title or just a given name. No way of knowing if it would feed the Fae or not without finding out the hard way first.


He nodded to Sonnie. "Yea if you can recruit Circe Hedge side it'd be for the best. Maybe the Summer Queen has some cold iron in reserve for situations like this. Sounds like the Physical team is decided, sounds like Yamiyo is on the Dream Team. Anyone else who could help?" He looked to Rhodes, he was the Oneiromancy expert here.

[Rhodes]

Rhodes pauses, listening. "Anatole may fight. Or he may go to ground. I can sheck. And unless Titania happens to have oneiromantic skills she has dveloped, others are somewhat new for me to know. I suppose I should remedy that." He looks Sonnie - she knew the other Spring's skills moree than he did.

He looks around. "It seems we have our plan. We should get ourselves ready."

"Awesome! Let's makes some spicy booze bombs! We probably won't need many, right? The thing is made of wood." She nodded to Coco.

Sonnie looked at Rhodes, then shrugged, "Titania can heal injuries, too. Spring Court magic be sweet like that. Wait, would that work on dream bodies?" She wondered aloud.
