[Saber Sloth]

The Spring and Summer allow for the Autumn to do what the Court of Fear does best.

To the Autumn, now that he's looking, he finds the answer. Simple and complicated all at once, someone is holding the door open. To close it they either need to destroy the mirror, and their quick route back to the Orchard, or find whomever is holding it open and convince them to close it.


Circe and Sera, however, do notice the hum of voices, and now that they're paying attention to the words and not just the noise, people chatting about this item or that, asking and bemoaning listed prices, and a strange sound, like stretched fabric with something scraping at it, that is too, forming words.

Though, the might have something more pressing then the strange voice, as they hear bodies moving through the aisles, steps bringing people closer to the mirror.

[Circe]

"Yup," Circe answers Seraphina before simply instructing, "Backdoor or hide." Circe tries to spot good locations to take cover if needed as well as any doors out of the room that don't go towards the voices. They could steal buy the mirror later when they weren't mysteriously back here with it.

Rhodes sighes quietly but heavily. Good job he's not superstitious.

He glances over to the ladies. "Trust me."

Slowly, he pushes over the mirror.

This just wasn't good. And Circe's ideas had merit, but where to hide?

But before she could really look around, she heard Rhodes. A quizzical look before she saw what he was doing. Sapphires widen, but she silently nods.

Trust him.

Circe darts over to another aisle, hiding among mothball scented coats.

Rhodes tips over the mirror and gravity does the work.

The gilded mirror hits the floor!

It cries out at is hits the floor. From the shards laying upon the linoleum floor, the Lost can see the reflection of themselves and the store around them. The door had been forcibly closed.

The sound, has caused the patrons and proprietor to notice them, however.

"Oh god what was that!" "Shit, y'all okay!" "Maybe it was the wind?" "I thought it was only us in the store...."

[Seraphina]

She watches, with sadness, as the mirror falls. And breaks. It would have looked stunning in the upstairs hallway.

But now, they had the attention of the others in the store.

Well, too late to really hide, might as well play it up if they can’t just walk out.

So she looks around to see if there was a back way to leave, or even a side way. Playing the pretty, sickly sweet girl was getting old today.

Rhodes fixes his face with a look of horror at the Mirror. "Oh God! I am so very sorry! I must have caught it whan I turned around..." He heads towards the people, looking apologetic. "Please, it was an accident... but of course we will pay for it as a result."

The Dread Lord continues heads forward, pulling out his wallet. Amazing how money could smooth things over so easily.

Circe had to take a moment, to break down and hide some things. That is what the coat was for after all. Just leave without getting trouble. Yup, that was the best option.

There is a collective breath as Rhodes offers is lieexplanation. The people who'd come to see what had happen, nod, and offer everything between grimaces, to sympathy.

"Fuck. Shit, that's gonna cost you a pretty penny." one says, while another voice, the voice that sounds like stretched fabric with something scraping at it, comes closer. "Oi, everyone not buying anything out! Don't want anyone hurt! Go on, get!" there's words of complaint, "I'll let ya back in later, promise, Don't want none'ya hurt."

The Lost hear people leave, the tickling bells above the door working overtime, until there's only the Lost, and that strange voice.

The person it belongs to, comes around the corner with her brush and dustpan. Though, now, the Lost know why her voice sounds so strange. She had a burlap bag on her head. Or, maybe the bag is her head. She's wearing a pretty patterned dress, but it clashes horribly with the burlap covering the rest of her body.

"Shit!" she cries dropping her tools, kicking up the fallen autumnal leaves that drop around her. "I didn't - the fuck you doing here?" what passed for her eyes, on the Treasured and the Flowering.

Then, "You broke my Gate you cunts!"


Circe remains hidden from everyone in the store.
