Listening as he spoke, she moved her hand and places it on the back of his neck, absently playing with his hair.

Giggling at Sonnie, “Shark, pool shark.” She confirms.

“I think wanderlust is natural for us. Moving from place to place, seeking that one special place that just feels right.” She’d done her own fair share of moving around, looking for a place to belong.

“A seedy one huh?” shrugging, “I’m not picky, but we might get a lot of attention dressed as we are. Which isn’t always a bad thing.” Though she could wear a trash bag and still turn heads. “Not sure if my dress is appropriate for pool, but I’m willing to give it a go.”

Nodding, “Five? Wow, bet it’s quite the story.” The Beast had a lot of good stories.

“No, I didn’t! And I’ve already dived into a few of them. It was hard to decide which ones to start, but I went with the one you mentioned at the party. It’s really good!” she gushed. “And I completely agree, I prefer used books, the age and wear gives them character in my opinion.” A nod, “Once I get one finished I hope we’ll be able to sit down and discuss them.” She sounded very eager. “It was such a kind gesture of you, I cannot thank you enough.”

[Rhodes]

The Flowering point's to Sera's answer for Sonnie. It almost made him want to try a hustle again.

"I think between the for of us we're very much overdressed for seediest, Sonnie," The Dread Lord Agrees with Sera, smiling. "But pool sounds like fun. Let's find a place."

He gives Yamiyo a smile, and a breeze ripples gently from the Autumn Courtier, sending haunting whispers that rise above the music and hubbub behind them. "The simple rule is you can never be too cautious, or too careful. If you wish to know more, perhaps this is not the time or place, but I'm sure you'd rather hear it from your friends some time, rather than a Lead weight in our conversation." He spreads his hands. They were nere for fun, after all.

Rhodes looks to Sera, and leans in. "I don't know. I wouldn't mind seeing you play pool in it," he whispered in one golden ear.

Emerald eyes glance from Yamiko to Sera. "Which books are these? I had noticed Sera reading more." the tone is one of genuine curiosity.

"Shark, shark, shark... right... so, then... is it card shark? Or card sharp? I keep getting them confused."

Sonnie blinked in surprise when Yamiyo seemed so concerned for her health (and the monkey felt to be sure her shirt was still on), watching the Succubus go through her entire performance before saying with a laugh, "Yeah, that was, like, years ago. I'm all good, thanks!"

She nodded to Sera, "Honestly, it wasn't that big a wound. Fun fact, bar brawls are not as well choreographed as they are in Roadhouse. Also, the bouncers do not look like Patrick Swayze."

The Beast pulled out her phone and googled pool halls in town. After looking at the results a moment, she gasped, "Guys! Guysguysguys! There's a pool place called Sharky's! It must be fate!" She looked at the three Fairest with a grin, bouncing in her seat like an excited child, "What are we waiting for? Let's gooooo!"

[Yamiyo Lillich]

Smiling seeming to be very happy.
"Ohh I am so glad that you liked them, isn't GGM a wonderful author I just love the tale of how he depicts the love of life in such a manner, it is really captivating and really makes you appreciate just being alive. I did hope that the grail quest series would be more historical and more to your tastes whilst still at least letting me dream of a wonderful knight in shining armor riding in on a white stallion. Sigh if only there were more books with a female knight on a white horse riding in to rescue the princess. And yes, used books have so much more life in them, they tell a story but they are also a story and that scent."

Looking over to the dread lord her eyes still sparkling. Shaking her head to the whispers, her spine gently shivering for a second but quickly her love of books overcomes it and just goes on talking.
"Ohh do you like reading as well? What kind of books do you prefer? She told me at the party of her fondness for more historical books hence I picked up the grail quest series by Bernard Cornwell for her. Whilst not my intitial type of books so is it still not one I am opposed to, nothing beats a good love story though, epic romances and passionate love ohh clearly the second best books that exists. I was recently on a book signing for Lisa Kleypas latest book chasing Cassandra from the Ravenel series do you know about it? I mean it isn't the best series but it is still a fascinating one and ohh she was so kind, it was the third time I met her I actually got both hello stranger and devils daughter signed live by her as well whilst the books were still new."
It was clear that the young succubus talked with passion, her signing wild, having to force herself to stop talking if she had been left to her own devices so would she probably have been able to talk the rest of the night away.

Being saved by the adorable monkey yelling out about the pool hall, taking a sigh of relief that she were stopped before delving to deep.
"Sounds like a plan cute little M...Sonnie, just wait one minute though if you don't mind"
Going of to the bar, trying to shake of her embarrassment upon hearing how long ago this incident were, heck at that point in time she still had siblings,returning with a glass of water and handing it to Sonnie.
"Kindly drink this first it is good for you I promise. Also what is this roadhouse is it some new show on Hulu?"

Padawan and Roadhouse remember to google them later.

Shrugging, “Haven’t been in a seedy bar in a long time.” Looking down at her phone and trying to find a place that would fit the bill. “Oh, here’s one that might work. It’s pretty close to, so we could probably even walk there.” Pointing to the screen on her phone.

An eyebrow raises at the whisper, “Oh I’m sure. Maybe to keep your focus on the game, I should stop by the house and change into pants.” She teases.

“Oh! She gave a bunch of new books! When she mentioned a love of reading, I wanted some recommendations and she was kind enough to send me copies.” This seemed to make the Nix very happy. “The one I’m reading is ‘Oh Love and Other Demons. It’s been hard to put down.” Sure, it was one of her usual reads, but it was good.

“Still shark.” A nod. “I can see that get confusing.” Depending on how it was said.

Laughing, “I wouldn’t think so. But good to know.” Not that she got in bar fights.

“Aww, how can I say no to that?!” she says with a giggle, “Lets go!” it was nice to see her excited about something.

The passion that Yamiyo had about her books and interests was nice. Though she wasn’t sure if those were Rhodes kind of books. But she still watched with interest.

“Ohh…seems we’re having a movie night with the classics!” how can someone not know Roadhouse?! Even she knew the movie.

[Rhodes]

"Definitely Shark. Like in cards," Rhodes adds.

The Succubus receives a warm smile. "I prefer non-fiction, but especially history. Traditions, folk-lores, where they came from, how they evolved.... People put a fascinating stock in myths. But also behaviour, psychology... When it comes to grails I feel Malory always wrote it best. After all, the further from the source, the more legends are overlapped, history and myth and fantasy blur between one another...." The Flowering sighs a little. "Of course Malory was writing and collating decades if not centuries after the time Arthur was meant to have lived, but it is so tricky to find a reliable source...." He looks around, checking people were still following.

Sera's response earns a smile. "I assure you I am completely focused, darling, on that which matters." He kisses her cheek and squeezes her thigh, then reclines.

"I had thought I'd seen you with a new copy or two recently. I hope you find them enjoyable," he adds.

"It seems we have a plan, though. Shall we?" Rhodes waves a hand out of the booth.

Sonnie seemed confused at first, by the offered glass of water, but then she remembered about hydration while drinking alcohol. "Oh, right! Thanks!" Laughing, she took the glass and drank it down. "Ahh! Refreshing!"

"Sera, I don't think putting that booty in tight pants will help anyone's concentration," she winked and giggled.

"Okay! Off we go!" Sonnie slipped out of the booth and ran forward, then skidded to a halt. After a quick glance about to be certain she had room, the Beast performed a lovely roundhouse kick through the air. She then turned to the imaginary camera and said in a hard voice, "Roadhouse!"

Smiling as the adorable monkey drinks the water she had brought her.
"Ohh noble sir then perhaps some of my more valued books might be of your interest, sadly I do not have copies of them and they are not as easy to get but I am collecting books of the orignal tales of the Grimm brothers. True they did not write them themselves but many of the versions or pretty much all of them are censored and books with original content is far harder to find but they are very interesting to read for various reasons."

"Ohh a movie night how fun, I love that idea" movies would put far less pressure on her lack of social skills whilst still getting be around people and forge bonds "perhaps we should rent a room for a night and bring a computer so that we can just connect it up and stream the movies?" Hoping that by showing respect to stay away from all their homes so would she show them that she had listened to the dread lords words.

Sera was following, always listening when he spoke of his interests, sipping her lemonade. “Really need to expand on the current library at the house.” Maybe lose a spare bedroom and maybe even knock the floor out. Make it multilevel. Clearly her mind was working that thought over, going over costs and whatnot. She had that look, one where she was planning something.

A warm smile at the words and kiss, “Just making sure.” Still allowing her fingers to move through his hair, before returning the kiss.

“Oh I have been! And with the weather warming up, it means laying outside and reading.” One of her favorite places to read.

The wink was returned to Sonnie, “It might, and it will make it easier for me to win.” That was a fact. Distracted people made winning easier.

Laughing and clapping as Sonnie kicked, “Nice one!” and it was.

“Now that’s always a possibility! Then we don’t have to worry about cleaning up.” Though Sera would never leave a hotel room a mess. That was just rude to the maids.

THe Dread Lord's smile brightens. "Oh, you have classics as well? Marvellous! I have several of the Grimm works myself. And you try and locate earlier issues of similar works?" he says eagerly. "It is such a challenge, but I find it so rewarding. Perhaps you may like to see some of the copies sometime?"

"I have plenty of space at the work library, darling. I know that look, Sera. Are you thinking of more renovations? More hulking workmen moving around?" He says wearily, but his eyes sparkle mischievously. Rhodes sighs happily at the fingers running through his hair. "Making sure I remain focused? I'm truly touched for your concern of my wellbeing. Perhaps we should hurry to the next bar so I can show my focus to you properly." He slides out of the booth and offers Sera his arm, and his most charming smile. "M'lady?"
