Nevertheless, now wasn't the time for pleasentries or to debate manners. She follows their Virgil, hopeful that he was leading them away from the Circles of Hell.

The Lost hustle forward, the sound of three pairs of feet squishing the mud sounds louder then it should. The sound of their hearts thudding in their chest, louder still, but Sonnie and Sera hear something above their fearful flight.

The inharmonious sound of uncounted for feet squishing mud behind them, and the heavier thud of steps on concrete ahead.

Even through the rain soaking her clothing, the Beast could feel the cold sweat running down her spine. They'd been surrounded, and were about to be cut off. That much she felt certain about. Instincts roared at her to act. However, she couldn't intercept everything. Sonnie was the only one here who could fight, and facing multiple opponents at once was always a bad move. If she could get to the heavy footsteps in time, she could let Titania do the blinding thing she proposed...

"NOW!" She snarled at the Bright One, as she turned around and ran towards the front of the group, praying she could block whatever it was from reaching Seraphina.

[Seraphina]

With how quiet they had become, it was easy to hear the footsteps. She feels her heart begin to beat harder, her rain-soaked hands sweat.

This wasn’t good. Ahead of them, behind them. Not leaving many options, and her mind begins to work over Contracts.

Sapphires dart over to Sonnie as she spoke, and hoped whatever trick Titania had, was going to buy them time to get away. Part of her wanted to go up beside Sonnie, help her. But words rang in her mind about not doing things like that. About running, and she was torn. At least she could give the Beast, and one of her best friends, some luck if need be. But running? She doubted that was going to happen.

[Rhodes]

Rhodes tried to keep focused ahead, trying to work out if there was any way they could take a side street. A Door they could use as a Hedge Gate.

It was her time to shine. Literally.

It starts with a small crack, then the tide rises, bursting at the seams. She starts to sweat, life in technicolor, and a rainbow becomes a single globular thunder of white. A single fat sun floating defiantly midair, ready to blind their pursuers.

The Fearful drive, the terror ridden anxiety, the unknowing known, of what might happen to himself, to Sera, to the others, propels him forward. His eyes gleaming as he sees it!

Right hand side, possibly the door leading into the building with the Tag, and would open in, by the hinges. There's two ineffective 2x4s nailed across the middle of the door.

And just in time too!

Titania's plan, her Blessing explodes in glittering, opalescent light!

From behind them, and ahead, they hear several voices cry out!

If you want to duck into the building you're free to do so!
If you want to escape into the Hedge, someone needs to knock and spend a Glamour!

Thank Kong her back was turned to that glaring flash. With her Glamour-enhanced senses, Sonnie might have gone blind if she'd been looking in that direction. As it was, she still squinted from the luminous overwash. Had Starlight always been able to do that?

She zipped past the two Sovereigns and skidded to a halt before them, ready to intercept what- or whoever was walking so heavily out on the sidewalk. Hackles raised, staff held ready.

Now what?

"Ideas?" she pleaded, "Or just run past me! I'll keep him busy!"

Wait, there was a door?

Without thinking, Sonnie spun about and brought her staff swinging down to knock away the old wooden planks blocking passage.

She heard Titania’s words, and without a second thought, blinks. But also brings a hand up to shield her eyes just in case.

But she could still see the light, through closed eyes and a hand, still see it. Holy shit! Where the hell did she learn to do that?!

Hearing their pursuers cry out, she had to smile, making a mental note to thank Titania later. That was awesome.

Carefully opening her eyes, she sees Sonnie now in front of them, damn she was quick. And clearly in ass kicking mode.

Ideas? Maybe, but she was supposed to run, so yah. Not happening.

Door? And before she knew it, Sonnie was getting it open. Was being in a building smart? In this area? The Gentries area?

But, work with what you have. And she follows the Beast, her hands clasped tightly in fists as she looks around. Was she ready to defend Sonnie? It sure looked that way.

Rhodes covers his eyes, aiming int he direction of the door. As Sonnie batters the planks aside, it crosses his mind... why would a door opening inwards have planks on the outside...?

No time to question them.

"Time to go, Darlings," he says quickly, making for the door. He raps "Shave-and-a-hair-cut" on the border and forcing the Glamour into the frame that it might open not into the building, but the Hedge.

And heads in through the now-shimmering portal, and the Hedge beyond.

Rhodes' Wyrd is 3, so it will be open for 3 turns after we all get in.
