(Broken Cycle) Back on the Street

The monkey points toward something, or rather someone. But she's just too focused on the design of her shirt to pay any attention. Now, where did she get it from. Was it new? She had never seen her wear it before. It didn't look expensive but it certainly did fit her fur complexion.
Eleanor, FOCUS. She orders herself, barely managing to keep up with their breakneck pace.
"Ahem, ahem", she mutters, trying to catch her breath between words. "D...do you want me to blind them? I know a way to slow them down"

The Lost see nothing more then what they had already seen before. The battered alley, the slashed tires, the hooded figure, the damp and dark hiding their face from view, well to all except Sonnie.

Who recognizes that face.

She chased down that face.

It was the Runner, she'd grabbed, Hardened her Mask for, who she bought coffee for. Who she told to get the hell out of town....

Her heart sank.

"It's... that guy. From the coffee shop." Her face darkened, "Guess he didn't get out of town, after all..."

We'll be next! GET OUT!

The Beast's attention snapped to Titania. "Do it!" She stayed at the Telluric's side, both to protect her while she worked, and just to see what it was she intended to do exactly. Her eyes kept whipping back and forth, to keep watch on the Runner and on Seraphina... and any other dangers.

Guy from the coffee shop? A confused look was given to Sonnie. Didn’t get out of town? Oh! The one she told them about at the Tavern?

“Is he going to be a problem?” she asks Sonnie.

And how come Titania getting to do something was ok, but she was always told to run? That wasn’t sitting well.

[Rhodes]

Blind them? Strange trick.... but could be highly effective.

"Wait. It might be best to wait until we know we're in trouble. That way we retain some elements of surprise. We need every advantage we can." The Dread Lord kept his eyes on the road ahead, trying to aim for the main streets again.

"Wha...", what was going on with the sudden pressure. Didn't they know that she couldn't perform like that?
Sonnie says something, King Rhodes says another. "Yes", she says. "tell me when"

For a moment, Rhodes sees the features that identify the Runner to Sonnie, even as obscured as they are. What he can see the most, is the man's grey hoodie, hood up, the the trail of dark hair, spilling from it as gravity works.

Sonnie notices it as Rhdoes is busy taking in the features. Fleeting as they've turned out to be. The Runner was slowly moving away for his position to take in the Lost in cramped street....

The Beast was wet, cold, and scared. She was ready to beat someone over the head with her Big Stick™. The Runner moving away from his overwatch position could mean several things, but Sonnie was assuming none of the good options. If he was still here, after claiming he was leaving town, then he was probably compromised.

An attack could be imminent.

"We gotta keep moving!" the Courser grunted, reaching out to prod Titania into moving along as she continued to back along the path Rhodes was leading them down. At the same time, a bit of Glamour funneled into the Hedgespun coin she wore as a pendant. The trinket came to life, blessing her with a touch of luck in battle.

And the whole time, the monkey kept her eyes, ears and nose open for signs of the infamous hunting hounds.

He wasn’t wrong. Stopping and focusing an attack on someone who hasn’t made themselves into an enemy seemed like a bad idea. What if whoever they saw was simply a distraction? Meant to keep their eyes focused on him and not on their surroundings? It would be a smart tactic, terrifying, but smart.

So she looks around as she follows Rhodes. Trying to keep her head down in the process. The rain could go away at any point. Walking around on edge while being soaked wasn’t her favorite pastime.

But it was good to hear Titania was ready to blind the enemy when needed.

Then a nod to Sonnie. When her Claviger says they have to keep moving, she keeps moving. She had trust in the Beast helping get them out safely.
