Titania Downgrades Sera's 1 Lethal to a Bashing and then Heals the Bashing.
Rhodes frowned. His own Wards were far from perfect in the Autumn Hollow. He had put off that task for too long.
Still, Titania's healing power was impressive. She is given a respectful nod.
"All wards in place add to concealment, Sonnie. The Autumn Hollow has lacked people to work upon it, so I had hoped the wards were stronger here." He looks around. "It doesn't change the fact that Hollows are the safest places. I have yet to find a way of warding a mundane place." There is a small shrug.
"We need to returnt ot he mundane world. They may still be looking out there, and on the off-chance they can find a way in, we should be gone. I will reinforce the Autumn Hollow's Wards, we can meet there. I will see what I can research on this Huntsman again. See if there is any known weakness or such we might exploit. Or we can hide, until hunting us bores him. Or, as I said before... we can leave."
The Dread Lord's words are heavy. He wanders behind the bar and pours himself a scotch.
"We should go."
I'm not sure what to do now, I tink we're on the next step? A new scene for that maybe?
There's a small twitch in her hand, the Queen can feel it, because she's squeezing her shoulder tight. Her right foot taps nervously against the floor.
Even she could appreciate how dire their predicament was. What's worse, there was very little she could offer. "I'm thankful to you all for coming to my rescue", she says while gazing to the floor, "If you need my assistance with the wards. While I'm not an expert, I'm still knowledgeable enough of the basics"
The Beast tensed slightly at Sera's touch, but then she emotionally eased down and accepted the hug. Her head rested on the tall Nix's shoulder, and her fist finally fell away from the door. She seemed to relax somewhat.
"O-okay... so we'll work on securing the Tavern better," she said.
And I gotta do the same to my tree house.
Taking a deep breath, the Claviger let out slowly, centering her mind as best she could. She looked to Titania, and smiled tiredly, "Anytime, Starlight. Maybe next time you can give me a piggy-back ride." That'd be the day, but trying would be funny.
Sonnie turned her attention to Rhodes, "No argument here. I've had enough of the Hedge for one day. Plus, all the rain will make us really hard to track. We caught a break there, at least for today." She nodded, still unaware of the Bright One being responsible for said downpour, "I just wanna go to a club or a frat party or somewhere so I can harvest a little glammy-glam, then go home and hug my dog and then sleep."
"I dunno what we should do about Antlers-for-Brains. I guess that's for you and Sera and Circe to decide." She held up an index finger, "Wild guess, the elf will wanna burn down the Trojan Stag." This was followed by a brief shrug, "Which sounds fun. We could roast s'mores!"
"Anyway, we good to go?"
Yeah, I think we're basically done with this scene? Ready to wrap if y'all are.
A nod to Rhodes, “I can get the word out to the rest of the Freehold, make sure they are aware and keeping safe.” It was all they could do until they had more solid knowledge. “I would prefer we find a weakness. This is our home, and we have defeated a Dragon to rebuild it.” She wasn’t running. Not anymore, not ever again.
A gentle smile to Titania, “We would never leave you behind. You’re not only a Spring and a member of this Freehold, but a valued friend.” Sera would have fought the wolves to try and protect her. “And any help you can give us is greatly appreciated.” Her smile now grateful.
How can you tell Sonnie is feeling better? She makes jokes, and the Nix chuckles softly.
Nodding absently, “I think we’re good to go and get things started.” And she wanted a shower, or a bath, or both.
I'm good to wrap as well
The Dread Lord nods, though doesn't speak in response to Titania's offer. That was Spring business.
Emerald eyes glance to Sonnie. "I mean, it's not a bad plan. But only treats ymptoms, not cause."
When Sera speaks firmly, she gets a reluctant smile. None of the current Freehold, save her and maybe Circe, had seen the Dragon. They would have to hope this Freehold was made of similar mettle.
He nods as the plan seems settled. "Right then. Make the Freehold aware, and then meet for a plan. I'll see what I cna come up with in the mean time."
Good to wrap too.
The Lost now have something of a plan. The Huntsman was still out there, his Mark was still on display, and there were those Watchers, one face someone that both Titania and Sonnie recognized.
As with anything involving Them, there was still much to do.
End Scene!
