The Dread Lord watches the women. Sonnie, at least, made sense. Could Briar wolves be terrified? Raw primal terror was somewhat outside of his remit.

He stalked around the women, reaching out into the primal movements of fear. Feeling the mantle of Fear. Projecting it as he stalked around them.

Titania lays hidden in her rotten root, not a friendly eye sees her, and thankfully, not an unfriendly one does either.

Sonnie raises her fist and staff high! It hits the ground with a resolute thump! and her might roar...more of a rawr.

Sera next, making herself appear larger then she was, but this was mortal thoughts, and these were not mortal beasts....

Rhodes, Dread King, stalks around, he knows Fear. He lives in Fear, though his is a more...subtle Fear. This more overt display obvious hadn't quite worked. At least not how he might have liked.

The four emaciated Briar Wolves, bark, and whine, they know Fear too, and these sounds are remarkable like high pitched, childish laughter.

Two of the wolves stand on their hind legs, backs hunching, and fur wild. While the other too slink forward, mouths open, Sonnie knows they're scenting the air. While the Fairests can see those yellow fangs, stained brown.

Then, the two on their rear legs, throw their great heads back and howl!

[Titania]

No good. She's safe now, but the others aren't. They need to find a way to break this impasse. Maybe she could blind them some more, summon a host of thorns to block their pursuers?
Yes, that could work. If Sonnie carries her, that's it. But first she needs her friends to notice her.
Slowly, she starts disentangling herself from the thorns.

Well, that was just embarrassing. The Briarwolves were actually laughing at them.

The situation was still bad. They were outnumbered and they still didn't know where Ti -- Sonnie's eyes flickered towards the sudden movement in the underbrush. Those delicate hands, the wildly impractical footwear! She'd recognize those anywhere! "Starlight!"

It was more instinct than strategy that made her do it. Let's be honest, there was no strategy whatsoever. Sonnie just bolted towards the struggling Bright One and reached out to grab her.

"We gotta go now! Hope you guys got some tricks up your sleeves!" she grunted to the other Changelings as she yanked the Telluric up with impressive strength!

Sonnie is attempting to grab Titania and toss her over a shoulder. I added +2 to my dice pool because Titania was currently prone. I didn't apply Defense because it sounds like Titania wouldn't resist (also I don't know what her Def is), but please subtract from the right if it still applies.
With Sloth's approval, Sonnie has fulfilled her Virtue (Hope) by coming to Titania's rescue, so she is now at full WP for the scene!

[Seraphina]

Well, that didn’t work. Not that she was really expecting it to. She wasn’t built to be intimidating, not in the slightest.

And they now had their attention. Yah? Not good.

Then Sonnie finds Titania, and there was relief at that. But they were still in a situation.

Her mind races, think Sera, think.

Then it hits her! Of course! Would it work? She wasn’t sure, but it was worth a shot.

Looking to a wolf, which ever was closet to her, she did what Spring does best. Desire.

Urging it that its true desire, the one its heart wanted the most….was a simple one….it wanted its pack for a snack. The Glamour flowed through her, her will sharp.

Sonnie heaves Titania from the shrubbery, and Sera does.... something.

The Dread Lord only had one weapon - magic.

Looking up to the tree overhead, Rhodes reaches out into the Season of Autumn, giving it everything he can and stretches that Season into the tree...

Sonnie sees those sparkling wisps, and in a flash, the Bright One is rescued from her rotten hiding place, and in that same beat is hauled up and onto the Monkey Girl's back!

Safety out of range of those slavering jaws!
...or at least for now.

Rhodes casts is mind to magic, invoking a Clause, that dose not heed him. The Hedge has decided upon it's bountiful leaves, remaining resolute against the Clauses' working to force Autumn's turn.

Ah, but all is not lost!

Seraphina invokes a clause as well, shaping new Desires inside one of the wolves....who turns to it's nearest fellow and offers up a sudden BITE!

The Ivy'd Wolf tears into the hunch of the world nearest to him, his fangs come away bloody, and the bitten wolf snarls, and pays him back in kind! Now, those two wolves are locked together, growling, snarling, and slavering over each other. Fangs brilliantly red, and nether wolf seems inclined to stop....

The other two wolves however seem...confused, but for the moment their attention is on the fighting wolves and not upon the Lost....

For fulfilling her Virtue, Sonnie has refreshed her (Halved) WP pool!

If you wanna sneak away from the Wolves while they're distracted, Dex+Stealth! Then afterword, please make another Dex+Athletics to avoid any obstacles, as well as Strength+Stamina! To Run!

[Titania]

Woosh, and she's riding the Monkey girl back in all her splendor. Expect it was totally different from the way she dreamt about it. Err, yes.
She flattens herself against the girl's back, hugging her strong shoulders and burying her face in her hair and taking a deep breath.

I assume Titania can't do anything while being carried

That was what Sonnie had said to Titania back in that rain-soaked alley. Prophetic words, because now that's what was happening. Well, it was more of a piggy-back ride, but close enough!

Wait, was that only 15 minutes ago? Less? It felt like a lifetime.

There were more pressing matters than... what the hell just happened? Two of the Briarwolves had suddenly turned on each other in savage, bloody glory. Sonnie's confused eyes flickered towards Sera, noting the tell-tale signs of Contract use around the Queen. She didn't know exactly what sort of fae magic the Nix had used, but thank Kong for it! This was exactly the sort of distraction they needed!

One hand carrying her bo staff, the other grasping the Telluric's arms around her neck to keep her secure, Sonnie turned away from the bamboozled predators. She pointed the end of her staff down the pathway, towards the trod, suggesting they all get while the getting was good.

The Beast began very carefully creeping away, hoping they'd get a good head start before the hobs noticed they were gone.

Sapphires widen as the Contract worked. With two of them fighting, it just might buy them some time. If it would be enough time? Well, that remained to be seen.

But Sonnie had Titania! Now, to make it to the Tavern. Altogether, alive.

A nod to the Beast as she pointed the direction to go, didn’t need to tell her twice.
