Skittering, chittering laughter. The sound of screeching, broken bells swells up from the underbrush at the Wizened's display. In a rush the skittering, creeping things appear from the safety of the brush and bramble.

A swarm of blackened bodies, fist sized. Eight thorn sharp legs each, gleaming, hungry eyes, with flashing fangs to match.

But she prepares to fight, as much as one can without a weapon. Good thing she didn’t wear her good shoes.

Circe opens fire on the bugs, because she is pointing a gun at them. She really should have practiced combat shooting more.

As the swarm does its thing, Sera takes a small step back. Spiders were not her thing, and given their size, she isn’t sure hand to fang combat was her best option.

There was a flinch as Circe fires off a shot, damn that thing was loud!

And while she didn’t know if Anatole could fight, she did know one thing for sure. Rhodes wasn’t a fighter, and she didn’t like his chances. So she focuses her attention on him, calls upon the Wyrd, and hopes a little luck will help him find his mark.

Sera is using the Contract Favored Fate, which grants Rhodes a +4 dice bonus to his next instant action

The bullet fires in a riot noise and force, hitting one of the spiders, while others avoid the projectile.

The swarm snarl, chattering and hissing, lunging at the Fairest, but missing the warm flesh of someone so well armed and armoured.
