He smiles slightly at the squeeze on his arm. Unseen to mortal eyes the leaves dip from the drop in the breeze.


Rhodes nods. "We're just trying to find a friend of ours," he says, pulling out one of the flier offered by their "client". "Now, we both know there's precious little entertainment to come through here, and a charming lady like yourself must see all kinds of things. We just want to try and find anything you might have seen with this gentleman." He sets the poster down on the desk. "We really would be most grateful." He flashes her his most charming smile.

The lady's smile become even mord fixed, "You friends with that burned bitch" A snear evolves, forming from one corner if her mouth, "Yes her husband checked in. With a fine piece of ass. No they didn't stay long. No, I don't know where he is now."

The other person, moves, head ducking as he moves dirty water across the floor with a raggity mop

Abe and Circe

The Spring Knight settles in befind the trash, it smells as abhorrent as expected. His ears tuning where his eyes would off no new input find, skittering sounds, so near he was to rotting garbage where all manner of bug made their home.


Circe on the other hand, finds a space clearly her own, away from the Knight but coveredmby trash and the fallen castaways of nature, her laptop boots uo, and she saild right through the zero security surrounding the motel's wifi. It didn't even have a password.

With surprising ease she slips through and finds what she would expect, inventory, work schedules, notes about the units, especially the broken window theh had found in the front of the building. Everything seems painfully normal, exactly as expected....except,

A single spreadsheet. No names, just room numbers with physical descriptions noted next to them. Descriptions that are familiar. Key features noteed on the stack of posters. And after the description, there js either a single, yes, or no.

There was a simple nod as Rhodes showed the flier, and she hoped the woman would be forthcoming.

But she wasn’t expecting the name calling! Seemed this guys wife made quite an impression, and not a good one. Ok, might be able to work with this.

A single shoulder shrugged, “Friends is quite a stretch, mild acquaintances at best. She went on and on about him, and to shut her up we agreed to look into it. Could you tell us how long they stayed? And maybe what room they stayed in?” she asks with a sweet smile, attempting to use her own charms.

But out of the corner of her eye, she spots the guy, and wonders what his story was. Did he know something?

Circe saves a copy of the data, creating a zip of it quickly to attach to a timed email. Just in case they needed to extort their way out of this it was best to have actual evidence. Kept people from calling your bluff.

Looking up from her laptop she tries to spot Abraham. What was the signal again? As she tries to remember if there is a password, "Meow? Eh, whatever dude, bad news," Circe keeps her words quiet but decides to stalk over to Abraham to share her findings, "Pretty damn sure the yes is a bad fer 'em. Gotta setup ta spread the files in a day if I don't stop it. Ya know, extortion instead o' violence. I don't like ta bluff and its nice ta have options. I vote ski masks and the latter though," she smiles widely.

The elf was perfectly fine with the brute force approach.

Rhodes watches as Seraphina works her lyrical magic. Always the charmer.

"It's hard being folk of their word like we are, darling," He offers to the receptionist. "I don't suppose you'd seen him or his, ah, 'fine piece of ass', here on a regular basis? With a lot of different faces?"

Sera and Rhodes

The lady's eyes seem to glaze over, her mouth falls open as Sera's ever sweet voice rolls off her tongue and into the women's ears.

"Oh, I oh," she stammers, a faint pink of a blush can be seen under the caked on make up. "So so sorry for assuming. You know what they say heh, ass outta you, an' me...ahem," she tries to put on a smile, embarrassment makes it wabble, "He didn't stay long, or I didn't see him that long, less then a week, few days, max. He and her, they both left 'round then, stayed in 12. Two beds."

Abe and Circe

Their careful searching and meticulous hiding, saw the sun slowly inch across the sky, the elf's computer skilks aiddd by her fae magics, even as its hindered by the motel's snail paced wifi, eat more time from the sun's cycle.

The hidden Fairest can hear the stopping of the rhythmical thumping of the headboard, curses heared as another thump, the hisd of a window open is heard.

Faintly they can smell more smoke as it wafts from tge newly open window.

Offering the woman a warm smile as she shakes her head, “No need to apologize.” Reassures the Treasured. And there it was, some information they would work with. And two beds didn’t mean nothing was going on, it was a good cover.

“I hate to inconvenience you, but is there any chance the room is available? I’d be more then happy to pay for it, that way your boss doesn’t think anything of it.” She begins, “It would be a huge help, and it would help us put our friends mind at ease so she doesn’t bother you anymore.”

Circe packs the laptop and move to follow him trying to whisper back too him her own opinion, "Whisper whisper. Pumping," Circe moves to follow Abraham, "Whisper. Oops. Whisper."
