"Well then I'll get with you three after the meeting. Please excuse me," he said, nodding his head and walking towards the podium. As Burns made his way to the podium the two groups found their way to the chairs and waited for things to begin. The meeting didn't seem to be anything special. There was a lot of talk of recovery, progress, and strength of will. Several people got up and told their story of recovery.
One older man talked about how he had been so lost and unsure of himself before he found A Better Way. He had trusted the wrong people and it wasn't until he spoke to Charles that he learned how wrong them were. They had wanted him to live a life he just couldn't agree with and it was all thanks to Charles that he was free.
A young man stood up to talk about how drugs and alcohol had stolen everything good in his life. He had struggled for so long and yet it wasn't until he came to A Better Way that he was able to pick himself back up and make things right with himself.
A woman then spoke about how she had felt like God had abandoned her. She had surrounded herself with people who were neither wise nor caring and Charles was the one who showed her a way to make herself better. She had done terrible things, but only with A Better Way did she find a path to forgiving herself.
After a few more people spoke the meeting came to an end and the groups split up again.
