In the heart of downtown Sacramento there is a place of intrigue, excitement and entertainment. The modern flare of this venue is host to exclusive parties. The seduction of this establishment may take you away as you drink, dance and socialize. There are private services available upon request. The best DJ’s in town are in line to play a wide variety of music. Some of you may dine…as long as you have your VIP pass.

April 1, 2019. Prince Alessandra Antinori has summoned her subjects for Formal Court.

Spring has sprung, and an explosion of activity in the dance space above follows as people come out with the warmth of Northern California's April. Meanwhile, shortening nights remind the Kindred of their place in the world; as the sun is away, the vampires will play, but the Daystar takes its place longer and longer these nights...

When the Kindred arrive they are discreetly met and led to the back of the club. The space downstairs is decorated in dark, rich woods and expensive furniture. There's a coat room that will also hold one's 'unmentionables'; namely, weapons, at the foot of the stairs. There are dark areas and areas furnished with soft couches, as well as meeting rooms with conference tables and chairs, and an area with several televisions.

In the middle, a space had been left open, the usual furniture removed from that space and placed aside. [COLOR=#BCBCBC]The Court area is decorated with long black and red silken drapes cascading from floor to ceiling. Drapes hang in elegant bunches and gathered into valances across door frames and between supporting pillars; the lighting is intentionally low, and even with the gentle pulse of music from above, the place has the feel of a sepulchre.

Rumours abound, since the last Formal Court - who would the Prince select as her newest Keeper of Elysium? The Harpy had last whispered her support for Mable Wood, the embattled Priscus of Gangrel - would her whispers be proven right? Would there be some other challenger stepping forward to provide Alessandra Antinori the influence she had requested? Would the Prince follow the rules of her own game?

Tonight, dressed to impress as the Prince had commanded for a Court she herself was hosting, the Kindred would find out.

The common area circles the Court proper, and it becomes apparent that this is not a place used just for a single evening. Small symbols note areas for Kindred only that branch off of the Commons, which will be necessary once those Kine privileged enough to see behind the Masquerade filter in: ghouls, herd members, or even devotees.

Another evening; another Danse. For some it will their first, for some it shall be their last. After all, this is the Prince's Elysium, and subject to the Laws of the Domain.

Eternal Court is open once more...

Elle Green - Blood Potency (Obfuscated) - Presence ● (Suspicious) - Status (Domain) ●

Inhabiting a corner of Her Majesty's Court, a not-so-oft seen presence had set herself up early. Seated daintily upon a chair, she wore the same blue dress she had worn to the Fire and Ice Court and a look on her face that suggested that she didn't give a fuck what anyone thought about it.

Until she had repaid what was owed, she would continue to meet her obligation. Then, she resolved to be gone.

Whether or not things would work out as she resolved it was unclear, but so long as she had her wits and her pistols, the gunslinging, sharp-eyed former poacher reckoned she'd be fine.

For tonight, though, call her curious. She wanted to know which suck-up would become Keeper. There seemed to be plenty around. Glancing about for the wild-haired ginger who had rushed her in that hallway and then been actually decent to her after, she settled in to chill...

Adam enters wearing his traditional ceremonial attire, very similar to what he wore during the Fire and Ice Court. Without a permanent residence, his wardrobe would be limited.

Noticing someone else in the room, he approaches Elle Green.

"Many blessings fair one. I do not believe we have had the pleasure of meeting. I am called Adam. May I join you?"

The first of April - the day of Fools, a celebration with roots as deep as ancient Rome and Greece. Watered-down to silly pranks and bland consumerism, like most things in today's world. Even if it wasn't mandatory, Thomas would still show up, if only to see if there'll be any Fools in attendance... and if any one of them will walk out of here with the title of Keeper.

Descending into Elysium, Thomas feels... nothing. No Beast, weak or strong to rattle his own's cage. The ex-poacher and the Bishop of Sacramento (and anyone appearing hereafter) will see the Ventrue dressed in a snow-white suit and a shirt with peacock feathers theme.

"Mr. Exlibrist, Ms. Green" He nods at them in polite greeting.

Mable enters the formal court by way of the staircase. She likes being able to view the room as she enters. She pauses on the stairs as a familiar beast presses on her. Thomas. She takes a measured breath and descends the stairs.

Interesting there is a different seating arraignment.

Mable's dress is literally covered in sparkly hearts.

Others are gathered together. She approaches them. "Good evening, Ms. Green, Mr. Exlibrist," She gives a warm smile to Thomas, "Mr. Boyle."

With respect to Persephone's return to the surface world, Krieg wore a green suit. He did not wear his leather gloves tonight. Upon his left hand, on his ring finger, was a silver ring designed to resemble a pomegranate.

The Deputy surveyed the room, apparently Alessandra had something extravagant and morbid planned. He held feelings in check given the tenuous relationship they shared.

Mable's more potent Blood attracted his attention first. He did not 'fear' her as they lived together on the Farm. An instinctual caution tingled in his mind. Thomas, again, was a similar note of vigilance.

Both Adam and Elle concealed their inner demons. His eyes narrowed briefly at Elle's presence. For Krieg, Elle Green was an unwelcome guest who had long overstayed.

The giant took up a large portion of a wall near the stairwell. He was casually eavesdropping on conversation.

The Daeva descended the stairs in a regal fashion. She was not the Prince of course, but there was a little different spring in her step than normal. Her black dress with a high neck held no jewelry tonight. Vivian wore heels well and it showed the way she walked. Her satin gloves were elbow length, and held an accent of sorts on her left wrist. Her clutch was secured under her opposite arm, but could easily transferred to a shoulder purse in a quick moment.

She made sure it was straight as she hit the bottom of the stairs. It was a distraction from her Beast's reaction to all the others who'd already arrived. "Hello Mr. Boyle, Ms. Wood, Mr. Krieg." Vivian smiled pleasantly and as well to the other woman who was at the Fire and Ice court. Her eyes surveyed the other's attire, but her face didn't reveal her thoughts.

This would be an intriguing Court to her, all things considered. But the Daeva was ready for what excitement was in store.

The Sheriff entered the Court space by way of her office, rather than the stairs, making her appearance promptly. Apparently, she had made her way in before and was doing something in her office until such a time as she was ready. This time, she didn't come out with a file in hand and immediately go to her usual corner seat. Rather, she made her way around the open space in the center with her teeth grit behind her lips against the provocation of the various Beasts in the room, walking past Elle Green without a glance at the poacher. She flashed the Seneschal a smile before nodding to the group of others. Beyond that, she had work to do.

Eyes found Krieg, and she nodded at the Deputy Sheriff in her service.

Lina Moretti approached the Deputy, all five-foot-one of muscle and sinew of her in a black pantsuit with a sharp leather jacket completing the outfit. On her hip was a vicious-looking Bowie knife. In her smile was a question.

"Deputy Krieg, tell me this: who should I appoint a Deputy Sheriff this evening, and why?"

Not everything needed to be handled behind closed doors. Either he would demonstrate sound judgment, or he would not. She had her picks in mind, but he had served well enough to be worth consulting. She stared at him boldly as he considered his answer...

Lina wins

Krieg's brows knitted together and he tilted his head to his side. This was entirely unexpected. This woman, standing at five feet, two inches, was staring intensely directly at him, a literal giant. He was certain for on-lookers that it would be either comical, or at the least, gossip-worthy.

Slowly, his features relaxed. "I would nominate Dirt Nap. He has demonstrated an eagerness to learn and adapt. I have neither seen nor heard of him being disrespectful nor impulsive. He is someone who I foresee working well with." He then asked, "Is this nomination to replace Atticus? What happened to Deputy Blackbird?"
