    The Foxen man looked every so excited at the prospect of papers for trading above. He clapped his hands gleefully and looked between the three of them.

    "So his name is Herb, well, at least that's the name he gave me. I think he goes by that name so if someone's speaking about him, they substitute some random spice or additive and no one is the wiser." He was fully cooperative now, and would probably answer just about anything.

    "Herb also likes to deal with Fleshmarket trading. He also has a collection of trinkets or belongings that he's kept or stolen from those that were captive in there. It is one of the strangest fetishes I've heard of." Flipping his hand to the side and shaking his head with dismay.

    A curl of his lip when another thought came forward, he looked like he was snarling. "He's also a wicked thieving scoundrel. He's taken food directly from a baby too! Well, it may have been a very small hedgebeast of some sort, but even so, it was rude!"

    "So, what else ya wanna know?" His eyes were shifting upward, as if the Steepscrambler was rummaging around his brain looking for more details.

    Fleshmarket? Well, 'Herb's' life expectancy just took a serious dive. Then again, the Fox sounds sincere - but is he? Or is it a way to get rid of the competition?

    "Taking food from baby Hedgebeasts, huh?" Abraham sounds in equal parts perplexed and amused "Is he eating puppies for breakfast, too?" It all sounded too good - like the man was picture-perfect villainy.

    "In any case, he was looking for something here - do you remember what it was, or where he went after? Come to think of it, you may want to refresh my memory on how he looked, too" It was kind of important. They can't just go around the Market, smacking every random Goblin hoping this one will turn out to be the right person.

    Or can't they?

    Softly shimmering gold flakes catch the light whenever she moves, delicate gilded gold and diamond scales extenuate the rare greenish blue color of her aquamarine eyes. In the right light, or when her mood changes, her eyes seem to illuminate from within, it’s a very gentle glow. This is the ocean lives in Sera's eyes. The scales trail up to her temples and forehead. Her hair reaches down her back, brushing the ground, spun silver and emerald. Perfectly placed tiny pearls can be seen woven throughout her hair. Very fine diamond dust falls loose from her hair when she moves, reflecting rainbows from the light. The scales on her hands are dulled by the simple fact that her hands are translucent. There is an iridescent scale like skin that pulls delicately up from her ears. The membrane shimmers and has three curly points.

    Cherry blossoms gilded in gold bloom from her hair, tumbling down as a warm rejuvenating spring breeze gently kisses the air with the scent of freshly cut grass. The sound of birds singing can be heard as the wildflowers grow and bloom in vibrant colors where she walks, swaying and lively in the breeze.
    Sera's hands and lower legs are translucent while the rest of her has cracks

    A fairly tall woman, roughly 5'11 with long, wavy dark brown hair. Her eyes are an intense, deep bright blue, reminding one of sapphires. Her lips are full and her skin is flawless. With that perfection comes a body that men fawn and drool over, and women envy.

    But it was the mention of the Fleshmarket that made her pause. That wasn’t something she wanted anything to do with. And someone who stole from those sold into the Fleshmarket? Was that someone she wanted to find?

    Lost in her own thoughts for a moment, she barely hears Abraham talking.

    “Also, was he with anyone?”     if this Herb had a partner, it would be good to know. "And any details about him, things he likes to trade with might be helpful as well."

Dark, broad leaves sprout from his wrists, ankles and temples, spreading around the back of his head. Deep red flowers bloom at the temples and wrists.

    Mantle: A breath of icy wind, the kind that penetrates and sends a chill down the spine. Ash leaves in red, yellow and gold spin into existance around him, caught on the breeze. As the wind blows, unnerving whispers can be heard, always coming from a direction just out of one's field of vision.

    The fox-kin seemed fully sincere about his descriptions. This thief was sounding more and more vaudevillian by the moment - the perfect adversary for the time-lost Arthurian knight.

    Provided he didn't decide to be all medieval in his judgement and ruling. That would bring about more problems than solutions.

    Behind the other two Fairest, Rhodes reaches into his pocket and pulls out a silver Dollar. He begins flicking it in the air and catching it idly.

    He gasped and put his hands to his mouth! "How could you say such things! I hope he's not eating the mini barkalots. They're not good until they're older." The Fox shook his head shamefully.

    "His eyes are sunken, he has a nasty facial caterpillar. Herb looks scraggly, but tries to be well kept. Sometimes he's cloaked, most times he wears gloves to conceal his withered hands. He's old, but crafty, which probably is a contributor to his craftiness."

    "No one was with him. He may work with others, but he's typically alone, Fair Maiden." He smiled brightly, exposing his teeth to Sera. "As for what he usually trades, it's usually higher priced items, or hard to find. Like difficult Hedgefruits and herbs."

    Oh gods, now he won't be able to shake away the image of this Foxman eating dogs like they are porkchops. What came over him to even joke about it?

    "Tell me: do the names Gideon and Jonquil mean anything to you?" He asks, his curiosity with a dark undertone.

    "Speaking of which, has anybody seen our dear friend?"

    It all started to make sense, in a weird way. The cane. The old, scraggly but well-kept man with sunken eyes.

    Alone was preferred. At least for what they were looking for. “Sounds like he could be worth trading with as well. Tell me, are they Hedgefruits you are unable to get?” might be worth knowing.

    Sapphires look to Abraham, then look around, shaking her head, “Not in a while.” eyes flick to Rhodes, then back to Abraham.

    "Now, Gideon is a great chap! Not at all like Herb." The fox shook his head severely and waved his hands in a 'no' gesture. "Although Gideon and Herb have had some... altercations, if you will. Gideon is about preservation, and Herb doesn't care what gets lost, sold or the lot. They are simply polar opposites."

    There was someone in the crowd of booths far down the way. He was tall and thin, but his back was to Rhodes. If it was Gideon, it was very hard to tell.

    "Now, Jonquil is one of our local performers and he is quite the crowd pleaser. The ladies adore him as well as men. He was most useful in aiding those in the Market to be better established. If you are insinuating that Herb is one of these men, I think you're a tad bit mistaken."

    With the loud voice of the Fox, and the names all being mentioned a woman from another booth behind popped her head around the tent corner. "Keep yer voices down. The sheer mention of Mr. Pepper is enough to get all the vendors riled up and we do not need another mob of people on a witch hunt." There was something very strange about her and the Fox cringed and his face rumbled up.

    Very sorry for the delay, let's get back on track! Thank you for your patience.

    "We're not insinuating anything. Just asking questions, as they say on the other side of the Gates..."

    Well, that and jumping to conclusions. But what is said next triggers a perplexed look on the knight-errant's face.

    "I don't get it. Your friend over here..." He nods at the Fox, answering the woman chastising them "...just told us Mr.Herb - or Pepper, if you will - was here not too long ago. And it wasn't a thing worthy of notice, but merely mentioning his name is?" Unspoken questions hang in the air as the Flowering eyes this woman, following a hunch that there was something strange about her demeanor - more so than one'd expect, that is.
