(Fugitive) Wrong Place, Wrong Time

Within close walking distance to the exploded apartment complex sat a much shorter apartment building, with a clear view of the wreckage. With the injured and dead removed from the scene, and all investigation completed, the building was left to its own devices. Only a string of yellow police tape was left to dissuade those who wished to enter what once was housing.

Despite being so close to lower income housing, Susan's apartment was actually fairly well taken care of, with freshly washed windows running up the side of the building and a small balcony with potted plants adorning each of its four upper floors. The door to the building, which was closed currently, had a panel next to it that contained names of all the current residents. About halfway up was the typed name "S. Miller" and a call button. Just inside the door was a little office where a young man sat playing on his smartphone.

This is a new scene on a new day, so mana has refreshed. Please put all equipment on you and spells in your first post, including your monthly rituals. You guys can arrive together or separate, doesn't matter to me. Aurora Langdon Kaze

Across the street from the building Langdon looks it over both on the physical level and the supernal. His forged Soul lets him see the intricacies and manipulations of Space as readily as his eyes could see the reds and the blues and the greens before he Awoke. The grey glyph seems to slice through reality as it hovers around it. It's counterpart remains solid and stoic against the pattern of existance, a Brown glyph of protection that is part of a monthly ritual the Mystagogue has been doing for quite some time. His bag hangs across his back holding pens, his notebook, ritual tool, and more mundane things of less importance.

Bump Aurora

Aurora pulled up to the location, finding a place to park her car. She had her monthly spells in place, so she was pretty much ready to go.

She approaches Langdon dressed in skinny jeans and an oversized cream color sweater. On her wrist was her dedicated magic tool, because you never leave home without that.

A small smile and wave, “Hey. We have an idea about what we’re going to ask? Or what direction we’re going?” she asks.

As the Moros stared at the building his piercing gaze noticed several very peculiar things. First, that the latch on the door was locked, but it was both mechanical and electrical in nature. He also noticed that, while there appeared to be someone sitting at the front desk reading a book, he was less reading and more sleeping in an upright position with a book in his hand. But most peculiar of all was that with his Spatial Awareness he was able to determine that nearby, between Susan's building and the exploded one, space magic had been cast.

Kaze stood by, not speaking, only looking around.

As stated earlier Kaze is at the scene but will not interact with anything until he has a scene space available.

"Hadn't thought of that." Langdon replies softly as he takes in the building. Shit. The Moros's gaze flicks to Aurora and he offers a smile before looking back at the building. Focus.

"Can you ah, feel? if the gentlemen at the desk is actually a person? As best I can tell they are sleeping upright holding a book." The Stalkers shifts. "I saw see the signs of a grey working between this building and the one we visited."

"And and, I haven't thought of an angle, maybe investigators? Also..the door is locked and it'll be a bit..loud for me to handle that. Also? I think we may not be alone here." Langdon looks back at Aurora with worry in his eyes. Too many things are happening at once.

Kaze looks around alertly. He arrived on the scene on foot, having been asking around in the neighborhood for regular people's observations or theories on the explosion.

Kaze is wearing a black solid shirt, black trousers and shoes and a padded, brown leather jacket. He has a smart phone and a magic tool dedicated to Force.

He cast spells quietly as he came on the scene, standing around the corner of an alley and out of sight.

Blue eyes turn to the guy in question, focusing her Life sight on him. “Let me see.”

Locked door.

“Well, I can open the locked door, that’s not an issue. Pretty sure it’s quiet as well.” She’d never tried it before, but, they’ll see. “And investigators work, I can run with that. All else fails, we can pass me off as a student at the academy getting in required hours in the field.” Now his other words were concerning to her.

“Not alone? Where?”

"Well I can handle half the door, the other half is magnetic which is were things might get harder." The Moros isn't too sure there. Magnetics is Forces but the material that is magnetic is matter. So he isn't too sure.

Langdon shrugs. "Sleeping holding up a book feels weird to me? We already know that we're looking for people who don't play by normal rules." And commit murder. "I'm good when you are." With a nod towards the door.

Kaze noticed all the same information that Langdon had noticed. Man sitting up reading but asleep. Door with the potential to be opened by either forces or matter. Even the remnants of gray space resonance. And the only other theories he had learned about what caused the explosion were: meth lab, aliens, and the government.

Aurora on the other hand was able to determine one clear thing beyond all doubt. The man sitting at the front desk...was a living human person. She could also see that he appeared to be alone, and there were no life signs in the hallway around the door.
