"Abraham Norton is a chronicler. Or, at least that's what I think he was getting at," Fawkes says, "I wouldn't think there would be an issue of collaborating. I'm sure both of you would do a good job educating us in history." Lovely voices and easy personalities, both of them.

"You're blooded? He mentioned the Wardens as well, so I think he has some martial ability," a nod, "It's nice to know the Antler Crown in Sacramento gets it."

Glancing at her fellow Spring, “I wasn’t aware of that! I’ll have to talk with him, see if it would be something he’d be willing to help with.” How did he know more about another Spring than she did? Had she been that bad at getting to know them? “Seems you know more about my fellow Springs than I do.” She says playfully with a wink. “I need to step up.” Which wouldn’t be a problem. “Who else have you gotten to speak with?” something worth knowing.

“I can fight, I’m trained professionally. I learned both during my Endurance and after I escaped. I don’t like to fight anymore, but I am ready should I need to.” She just knew she had to learn to fight to survive. "I've found it to be a nice little thing that no one expects from me."

The Elemental's head snaps around as the heat of a powerful Mantle swirls in tandem with the growing fire. The towering veteran in an armoured vest was meeting with the others that called themselves figurehead.

"That's practical," Fawkes said, knowing many Lost too traumatized to commit to self-defense. "The role of martial defense officially falls to the Iron Spear. We take up a role that sometimes asks us to hurt people, but it's voluntary." His tone is even, less stiff than the start of the conversation.

"No one should feel helpless. You're a boon to your Court, setting a good example."

The Elemental is clearly distracted by the gathering of Lords and Ladies, almost missing the Wizened that seemed to blend better into the background than before. Rich started an arms race.

"Seraphina, I liked this and want to talk to you again. I'll be right back," he said, feet moving on instinct before he properly ends the conversation, laser focused as the Fairest that called herself his Sovereign mentioned duels.
