[Cole Volker]

Cole gave a laugh at Sonnie's question, and grinned

"Never made those- not good for throwing I think, not like the movies. I've made throwing knives though. And given your... Ah... Theme... I would have expected you to ask about a staff. Or maybe a giant fan? Or am I mixing up legends... Anyways, I could probably make them. The mold wouldn't be too hard, and a few spins of the wheel will sharpen it to a good point."

The other lass.... The gleaming, golden one. She knew of craftsmanship? And if her words were anything to go by, she was more experienced in the matter. Summer had forgemasters, why wouldn't Spring?... Hm.

"Ah... Yeah, the markets can be rather 'fickle' around here. And honestly, my attempts to acquire prime materials usually amounts to a flaming drunk wandering through a thorn maze... Er... Figuratively, of course. I've got the simple stuff down, but the most complex things I've ever forged were a tad bit more... um... 'personal,' if ya understand?"

At that Cole nudged his head lightly, and gestured slightly to himself. Cole had goals. His weapons worked, but they could be better. And while he could endure a great deal, the other changelings weren't so 'lucky.' If he wanted to truly arm the Freehold, he'd need to learn more.... So he'd forge and toil until his artwork was strong enough.

And then came the Spring Lad. He had a way with words. He was also pretty good looking (which wasn't unusual for a spring, Cole had observed). A fencing blade would be a challenge- Cole made bigger blades usually-it would be a unique attempt. And the Forgemaster had to chuckle as he imagined a reinforced butler or host outfit over the adorable storyteller. Were all springs so knowledgeable of the hedge? This could be a wonderful business venture indeed. And by the end of his story, the Summer Hothead was laughing, suppressing his laughs with a scaly hand before regaining his composure.

"Summers can do that. Hey, never take less for a party right? I suppose you'd take less injury from a Winter Bash, but would it really be as entertaining? You're all rather knowing on the subject- I'd honestly love to work with you guys, or for you. Circe says I should be more respectful, suppose the first step is getting to know you all, eh?"

A toothy grin. Cole was out of his shell, As Sonnie and Abraham and... Frankly most of the Springs... Had a way of doing. It was slightly unnerving in the back of his mind, but he trusted them enough.

[Sonnie Wu]

She smirked at Abraham, still balancing on the rear legs of her chair, "I'm not blushing anywhere that you can see."

Glancing briefly towards the cafe for some sign of the crepes she ordered, Sonja turned to look at Titania curiously, "Why thank you, Starlight. I never skip leg day."

Again, she watched for the waiter. How long did crepes take to prepare? She had no clue, but hunger was a driving desire of Sonnie's, and she had a certain impatience for fulfilling the aspiration to eat. If she wasn't as active as she was, one might expect her to be overweight, given how much she eats.

But, at last, the food arrived! Squealing in delight, the Beast settled her chair upright again and happily ogled her plate of banana and strawberry crepes, piled with extra chocolate sauce and whipped cream. She licked her lips and picked up a fork.

"Oooooooooh, mama! Okay, y'all might wanna avert your eyes when I dig in. This could get orgasmic."

[Seraphina]

Beaming, “Thank you. A friend made it for me before she had to leave. And while it’s probably not the best for gardening, it’s stronger than it looks.” Spiders silk was a lot stronger than people realized.

What was this obsession with a motorcycle in the Hedge? Though if made in the Hedge, would it work? It was a curious idea.

She blinks, “Not what I was expecting. The way you were talking, I was expecting something more, explicit. But a good story either way!” though if someone put their hands on Ingrid, she’d be right there defending her. There were holes in the story, but maybe there were supposed to be. She then nods, “Drinking responsibility is always sound advice.” Some people made absolute fools out of themselves.

Looking to Cole, “I got lucky when I found the perfect market that had what I needed.” Though it would be different without Mhairi. “I need to find another one for the ideas I have, but it’s hard to take the time and find others with free time to go with.” Cause you don’t go into the Hedge alone. At least she doesn’t.

A nod, “Respect is good. And I can say that I, personally, wouldn’t have been as kind as Sasha was.” A shrug. No one was ruining Spring’s night.

When her own dish arrived, she grinned. Pancakes!

“Sonnie! I should take you to this amazing little hole in the wall diner! They have the best pancakes!” a nod as she picked a strawberry off her own plate. Cause you don't touch someone else food without permission.

[Titania]

First of all, Sir Abe's story wasn't as licentious as he had made it to be. Ovid was much more lascivious back then. And second, were her ears failing her senses or did she just hear Sir Cole openly admitting to being scolded for his infraction of court etiquette? From none other than the Summer Queen herself.
THAT summer Queen. Sir Pot, please allow me to introduce you to Lady Kettle. Fortunately, she didn't choke on her tea, "Um, yes", she said, sounding rather unconvinced.

Sera was right, they needed to shop, ""We have a promiscu", stupid Ovid and her stupidly strong legs too, "ahem proficuous relationship with a local retailer of exotic goods".

Month has expired, we should push the scene into continuity

Cole was glad to have his food, eagerly drinking the milkshake- just the thing he needed, for a pretty chill day (the good kind). Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

"Ah that's the best... Well, if anyone would like I could arrange a time to fulfill a commission? And if I'm building a hedge-chopper, any help would be well appreciated! I also still need someone to help with the plant situation... Lots of things we could do! And hey, if you ever need a forgemaster, fer making or breaking, I'd be delighted if ya thought of me."

Cole was ready and prepared to give his (other) number to the changelings around the group if they asked. It'd been a good day, and he had little to complain about. Plus, several of them seemed to have a good fire within- they just... Preferred to use it for other things. But it was more warmth than Winter could give, and as unsettling as their joy could sometimes be, it was definitely better than Autumn's creepy nature.

"I should probably head out somewhere else anyways- it's a good day, ya know? Don't suppose you lads and lasses have any suggestions?"

Sonnie's mouth was full of crepes, so her answers to... well, anything... were quite muffled and incomprehensible. It didn't matter, though. The monkey Beast was happy just to chow down on such a delicious treat. So sweet, so rich, so good.

When she finally finished, her plate clean, she sat back and drank some of the green tea she had also ordered.

"What's a hedge chopper? And I love pancakes! We should go get pancakes, Sera! I mean, not right this minute, but another time. Like tomorrow. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!"

[Seraphina]

Smirking to Titania, “Then shop we shall! Just let me know when your schedule allows, mines pretty flexible.” Yah for owning her own business!

Looking to Cole, “That would depend on what you’re into. The parks and zoo are a lot of fun to visit! Though for the zoo, I recommend this amazing tour guide, she goes by the name of Sonnie. Filled with lots of knowledge!” a nod and wink to Sonnie.

Smiling to the Knight, “I think an extra pair of hands is always welcome.” Makes any work go by faster.

Then a laugh, light and musical, “Oh, I’ve heard of that place! Amazing coffee and tea.” As to the owner being lovely, well, that was obvious. But she didn’t want to sound too into herself.

“Yes! Breakfast is the best meal of the day! Lets go tomorrow!” she eagerly agrees.

Sonnie was busy licking remenants of whipped cream off her fork when Sera mentioned her name. She looked up from her empty plate and smiled. "I've heard of her! Vast knowledge of primates, as well as 80's pop music. Also, she's damn sexy. I hope to meet her one day!"

With a giggle, she leaned back in her chair again, "I still need to visit this coffee joint. I wonder if they have oolong tea?"

The Beast nodded her head enthusiastically, "Then a breakfast date it is! Pancakes for everyone! Also, bacon."

She agreed, another Spring meeting was on schedule. And so they kept planning ahead between one cake and a cup of thea.
