Half Circles

[Kelreth]

The building is like every other building in a depressed part of Sacramento. Except that each building tells its own story, has its own tale. To those who are not used to it each building looks the same in a generic way. Each old, each seemingly broken in its own way, each blending into the next. But it's those small differences that matter and are noticed by those who do more than drive by.

The building the flyers point too? Equally old, equally seen better days. Though unlike the others it seems to stand tall without actually standing tall. As though the building knows something that the other buildings don't. A hand written sign by the door says "Welcome one and all, peace be onto you" followed by "Inside, down the stairs, to the right". For you see this building was once a factory...probably a factory. Time wears down all things.

A bit of patience would let a Wolf see that the "one and all" seems pretty accurate. College students, those down on their luck, suits, dresses, even a small family. All make their way unhurried to the building and disappear into it.

[Matt Joule]

Matt is there, a seven foot tall, glowering, young man with a fist full of little flyers advertising this place. He keeps sniffing the air like it smells funny, and he can't place why. He's wearing black denim jeans, open toed sandals incongruous with the colder temperatures of late, and a black t-shirt with the word "Snitchers" in a red circle with a line through it.

[Emily Makerith]

Emily is.... well, it's definitely Emily. In her leather jacket, band shirt and jeans, she wanders along with the flier munching on a huge hot-dog. Well, finishing it off really, but it's still an image of ridiculousness watching the petite Ithaeur trying to get her jaw around the bun.

"Hey guys!" she says thickly, chewing and swallowing before grinning broadly. "Glad you could make it!" Emily looks around and waves the flier. She has ketchup across her cheek. "Looks lie the right place, huh? It just you two here?" She watches them as she takes another mammoth-sized bite out of her hot-dog.

[Matt Joule]

"Hey." Matt nods in greeting to Church.

At Emily's greeting and question, Matt smiles briefly, involuntarily. "Just us. See you in there." he says.

Matt plunges in, moving with the flow of the crowd into the building, heading 'down the stairs' and 'to the right'; either certain that he will be easy to keep track of in the crowd or just not worried about it.

Glances and double takes had followed Matt on his way to the building. Though really, seven foot tall guy? Ya that's getting gawked at. As Matt steps across the threshold into the building though the first thing he notices is that it's calm. Not physically calm, there's definitely a small child or two running around somewhere on the ground floor but emotionally calm.

Outside of the building no one takes more than a glance at blue haired women or man in black. People just have to express themselves ya know?

[Hector]

Hector doesn't like it.

Not one bit.

The feel of the building sets his teeth on edge. Like it knows something, huh? Well, it probably does! And that can't be good.

Hector had arrived first - curled up in the lee of a neighbouring building where he could watch unobserved. The homeless are invisible, or close enough to it. Especially when they try and engage anyone else in conversation. So he had sat, and wrestled with the nagging feeling that something was really amiss here.

The idea of going into the building without an escape plan irked the Cahalith even more.

So he had got up, trusting in his pack to gather, while he took a walk around the block; took a walk around the building. He was Iron Master: territory was a Thing. Territory was sacred. And that meant knowing the lay of the land.

Emily quickly munches down the last of her meal, and starts walking around towards the front. She slips a view into the Spirit to see what makes this place so special.

With an angry sigh, he takes a deep breath, holds it. Lets it out. Does it again. Then he tries again. This time he is rewarded with a glimpse of what it's like in the local Hisil.
