Campanella was right, they had few good hours left until the expedition. He had left his will in a closet in the Guardians' wing, just in case.
"I appreciate the offer, Libertine", he said calmly, "but we can manage on our own".
A shake of blonde hair, “Not interrupting at all, welcome.” The smile was returned, “Then you’re looking for Campanella.” She nods to her Cabal Mate. “And I can direct you to your Councilor, to which Path do you belong?” well, that was dependent on if his Path had a Councilor.
Nodding to Phoenyx, “Well, should you guys need someone to keep you from bleeding out, let me know.” Master of Life after all, it was her thing, keeping people alive.
“I’ve always had an interest in learning to fight, so consider me interested! Plus, I can throw heals if needed.” Would be nice to actually learn to fight a bit. Can’t always rely on magic.
At the mention of cleaning up, “I can also erase physical evidence as well as less obvious traces. So if that’s needed, I’m here.” Yah, she was getting tired of not doing anything. It was time to get involved again.
Eyes widen as she looks at Campy, “It has? Damn, it’s been quiet for a while, wonder what got it stirred up.” Was it meant to be quiet for as long as it was?
She wanted to offer to help with that too, throw Life shields on them. Maybe she’d bring it up towards the end.
Kasterborous stumbled into the Sanctuary. Was he late or was he on time? It was all a matter of perspective to one tangled in the weave of time and space. To the Disciple of Space and Time, he was always where he needed to be at the time he was needed to be there.
Gemini's sudden retreat earned a moment of a raised eyebrow popping above the upper rim of his aviators, but nothing more than a simple, "By all means," flows from the First Talon, who turned his attention to Phoenyx and her report with respect to the safe house. "We'll call you right when it's clear, Winter," he promised. He'd do his own investigation, of course - that was fully within the Mastigos's wheelhouse - but he wanted to know what the Guardian thought. The guy was competent, after all.
"Shodan, that's a good question," Alastor said, trying the Libertine's Shadow Name on for size. Not bad. "It's less areas and more a sphere of influence. Right this second, we're dealing with what appears to be folks connected with some group in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. So - it's an even better idea than normal to avoid drawing the cops down on yourself, and any movements you make involving cops should be super subtle in case these guys are pulling the same strings... and only done if necessary, really. It got very complicated and violent when first these Hunters struck. Using supernatural abilities and some fucked up machine monster, they burned a building with people in it. They bombed a city street. And a bunch of firemen. And me. They aren't concerned about civilian and emergency service casualties, that's for sure."
He shrugged. Sometimes, you got bombed.
The Obrimos nods to Shodan and jerks her head towards Alastor's reply. "It happened just before I arrived. I'm just helping with the follow-up." She nods to Aurora as well. "Thanks - that's helpful. Kaze and I both have some understanding of Life but I'm sure we'd appreciate some more learning if you could spare the time."
Despite the smattering of approval for her idea, Phoenyx seems nonplussed. She nods again and says, "Great. I'll set up some a session here, open to all." She sips her coffee.
He smiled to the blonde and thanked her. "I am a Thyrsus. I look forward to getting to know my councilor and seen in what aspects I can be of use before I catch up with an old friend."
His eyes searched for Gemini aho appeared to have settled in the back. Once Aurora advised him he would catch up.
He listens to the First Talon's explanation of events and when he's done, Shodan audibly inhales. Then exhales. His eyes wide. An out-of-time Artifact with Seers manipulating history is super bad by most Cnsilii standards, but the FBI? Firebombing civilians? Magically-powered golems?
Is he going to learn next week that the aliens from Independence Day are going after them, too.
"Thanks" he finally replies "That's a lot. Listen, I think I'm going to prepare for this Clock thing. See you later!"
And with that, Shodan exists Scene
"It's time for packing I guess", he said. "Who's coming?", he asked.
Turning to Winter, "Packing? Coming? Who and Where is going When? Am I invited?"
A nod and smile to Phoenyx, "I always have the time. Just let me know when and where." it would be good to feel useful again. She'd been detached far too long.
Oh, another Thyrsus. This one didn't seem to dead set on Duels to the Death, at least not yet.
"Then I'm pleased to meet you, I'm Councilor Aurora, Thyrsus. We should sit down and talk sometime." her tone friendly.
