Kasterborous studies the two sympathetic links.

The one 'from' the present has indeed been scrubbed in attempt - a very good attempt! - at removing resonances traces and signatures. Fortunately for the gathered mages, the Apostate Acanthus was able to put the vague hints and traceries back together. Enough to get a bearing on where the sympathetic connection came from. Enough to work back along it if he so chose*.

The one 'from the past' was similar. Whereas the present connection was shrouded in secrecy and still required cracking open, this gossamer connection of temporal sympathy was deliberately open. Straight as a ruler, this connection was a roadway, a path to the past deliberately conceived and executed. He recognised the Resonance imprint of the Clock itself as much as he recognised the subtle eddies of Death and Prime, toil and building pressure.

He even caught the refracted image, as if through a shattered mirror, of a man with silvery shoulder length hair hunched over a work table while he worked on a large clockwork mechanism.

And then the temporal link to the past shivered and rang in recognition to the Apostate's enquiry...

Everyone feels the shockwave from the temporal connections 'ping' or ringing peal that shudders through your soul.

Everyone has a momentary vision: a kaleidoscope of sound and images -

The chill of cold. Murmur of wind whistling through tightly packed buildings. Snow packed narrow streets. Stench of death snap frozen in frosty air. An image of a grainy wooden door with a big Red Cross daubed on it. A frightened child peeking out from a window that has been crudely boarded up. A narrow house lit by a single light, hidden away in the corner of a small square. The tramp of booted feet, getting closer....

Campanella deftly moved aside to give the Acanthus Apostate space to do his work. A look of surprise ruffled his features as Kasterborous began his increasingly excited investigations.

To Shodan : "As far as I am aware, the Clock appeared just before I arrived in the city. Which would be a few years now, I believe. There are some wild stories that the Circle itself may have moved as well. As for the Soulstones? I do not know. My memories of that time are a little scrambled. I am not sure if anyone else might have a clue. There was a rumour that the Consilium's founding Hierarch may have had a hand in the Clock, but I did not meet him myself."

The Moros didn't get to say much more.

The bell.

The shockwave.

The crashing visions.

Campanella stumbled and had to steady himself with his table. Fingers clenched to a fist and pressed the side of his face.

"Thats... Thats a summoning..." Surprise marred his voice, turning his speech into a few mumbled words.

The vision takes the breath out of Shodan's lungs and nearly snaps him like a twig, so great is the surprise and potency of the magic at work. When he gathered his thoughts, still resonating like a gong, he asks no one in particular "Was- was that..."

Perhaps in a response to him, but likely not, the Moros Councilor answers.

"Oh... right"

Looking up to Kaze, straight as an Arrow that he is, he tries to emulate his readiness and - to his surprise - Shodan's failure is not that miserable. Deciding it'd be a good way to restore balance, the Libertine browses his memory in search for clues that would identify the possible geographical location and historical period of the vision as well as this Red Cross...

Fingers spasm, breath stolen, eyes squeezed shut.

Time passes?

Breath = needed for survival. Take 1. 2. 3.

Motion capable? Yes.

Steps r/ initially slow & shaky but effects diminish as ^new^ goal is approached.

Pushing door 2/ Circle open. Surprise at hearing voices - 0.
Campanella's is known. Heard clearly due to familiarity.

Kasterborous continues to tilt his head this way and that as he marvels at the craftsmanship of the clock. Talking as he mimes around the device. "This thread here in the present...." Activating his wand, Kasterborous checks the readings from before and, "Ah ha.... gotcha you little bugger. I now know where the here and now thread goes to... I have a bearing. Give me a minute."

Kasterborous begins focusing his wand on the thread in an attempt to Scry its location.

Embedded in his memory is this new vision, the gears in his brain cracking and twisting in motion. A cold winter, such an ironic twist of fate.
A few syllabes of high speech. A guttural gritty tone that surprises himself. The imago is formed, a hand that pushes and bends the forces of the Aether into an armor around.

She’d initially intended to visit the Circle of Creation to make her presence known a lot sooner than Consilium time. Gemini thought it would be a good thing to meet other Magi in a less...formal setting? But what she’d seen as she entered the threshold of the Circle shocked her to the core, not expecting the barrage of images to hit her the way they did.

Barely just having become an Initiate of the Time Arcana, Gemini wasn’t completely sure what had happened. Dressed in a black pair of slacks and a blue blouse under her black cashmere jacket, she stepped into the Circle to find someone to ask about her vision.

Shotgun tube on his back, chain on his hip and dressed like he was ready for anything, Alastor entered, his hand bringing his aviators up to his squinty eyes as he came. Newcomers were there. A girl he didn't know. A guy he barely knew, the Libertine. Good. They could probably use some backup, even if the Order choice was off.

"Hi," the Arrow said to the new girl as he looked on impassively."You chose The Most Interesting Time to come."
