(1810) Meeting of the Mighty

A smiling nod. "As Weavebreaker confirms, I'm Sand. A pleasure to meet you both."

"What about you Kaze- any specific calling to Sacramento or more of a 'good a stop as any situation?'"

"Commence? With ... talking?"

"Was there something specific that you wanted to have brought up Winter?"

[Winter]

We must all be cut out for what we do, he thought. Alas, you make your living where your talent lies. On his part, he had sold vitality, in one form or another, all his life, destroying in the process what little proclivity for idle conversation he had by not using it. Although he kept from thinking about it for many winters, who knows how many. And it was all marvellous, until it came in sight , and it was strange, well worth noticing in moments like those, the difference between awakened and Awakened. Robotic efficiency against unbounded potential. Social gathering? He could never fathom, not anymore at least. Yet, he understood that's what they had been gathered for.

He slipped into the familiar lie of maniacal precision he made his bread and butter by. "The meeting, Councilor. I assumed we were summoned for a reason", he said. It was in the wisdom of people like them, spandex and Clark Kent included, that the Guardians one day hoped to find their Messiah.

[Kaze]

"Yes, Ma'am. Specifically, I trained in Okinawa, and my teacher in the Order decided I should return to California and Serve in the Order here, in Sacramento. She was also of the same Path." Kaze reports to Councilor Sand. "I am fully committed to serving this Community, Ma'am." he concludes, facing Councillor Sand, giving her his full, committed attention, his posture a little less loose and relaxed.

[Phoenyx]

The Young Arrow watches the interactions with interest. She can't quite stop the grin at Kaze's reaction. He really is just a big puppy.

"I had hoped to meet the others along our Path. Now we have done that, i was hoping to learn a little more of what the Obrimos intend withing the Consillium as a whole." Phoenyx says, addressing all present. "Do we seek to investigate the events that have changed Sacramento? Or simly prepare the city for what happens next?"

[Weavebreaker]

Weavebreaker nodded slowly, piggybacking off of what Phoenyx said. "I think the main thing was just to meet up and gain better familiarity with one another." She said to Winter.

"Alastor and I have had the pleasure of meeting up with Kaze and Phoenyx, previously - as they are both Arrows. We have also had the pleasure of working together, previously." Weavebreaker motioned between Winter and Sand. "So it is mostly for you four to learn more about one another."

[Winter]

"Hnn, that's right. I suppose", he said. "So, how's Sacramento treating you so far?", he asked the newcomers.

[Phoenyx]

"Well. Thank you," Phoenyx replys, breifly but not curtly. She pauses, as if trying to decide if more is needed.

After a pause she adds, "the city is fine. It seems there is much to learn about the Concillium. It appears to be somewhat fractured, whom what I hear. But I will be staying in the barracks for now, should anyone request the Arrow's assistance."

[Winter]

"Fractured you say?", his curiosity piqued, "that's one side of the story", he casually shrugged. "Let's just say that we have our fair share of people more interested in charging at windmills, fighting those enemies they perceive might be coming from within, than preparing for ther war against those coming from without", he said.

"The threat of lethality should be thoughtfully employed against those you've earmarked as enemies. It should be justified and proportionate, it's not something that should be casually thrown around and against an accomplished member of the community nonetheless", his pause served only to highlight his words.

"We're going to war, we don't have time for disruptions".

[Kaze]

"Good, Sir." Kaze responds alertly to Winter, apparently considering him to be a superior to be giving rather than receiving his insights and opinions from Kaze unless he asks for them.

[Phoenyx]

"Perhaps the genuine enemy without may hely these people realise there are more important things at stake," Phoenyx replies.

She pauses, thinking on Winter's words. Death is not something that should be casually considered. "If war is unavoidable, I should like to know what is known of the enemy, and what our plans are as a Cuncillium. Knowledge is both shield and sword."
