(Borderland) Buster at the Nox

[Twist]

Twist nods in understanding.

Before turning back to the group, Twist searches for a chair and draws it into the center of the room. Gesturing to Kreig, she indicates that he can set his burden there.

To Mable, she indicates with crude hand gestures to get ready to tie or restrain Buster.

In order for Krieg to maintain his cover and Twist to even attempt to salvage hers, it would have to be Mable who restrained Buster.

Stepping back, out of what would be Buster's line of sight, motioning for Krieg to do so as well, she looked to Alessandra.

From here on it was her show.

[Mable Wood]

Mable checked her pockets to see if she had any of the twine she used for marking trees but came up empty. She held up one finger and ran to another room and found duct tape. Once buster was seated she would tape him to the chair to at least slow him down a bit. Then she would stand ready to punch him and restrain him as necessary. She mimed her plans and looked for agreement.

Buster is pliable and compliant. Either he has survived situations like this before, or else his holding whatever Vitae he has left in reserve. Or maybe he is simply a fool who hasn't quite accepted the danger of his position.

He even giggles and shakes his head (as much as he can) when Mabel further ties him down on the chair.

[Mable Wood]

Mable gets the hint fast and slides out of the room. She wants to be far away before he does whatever it is he does.

[Alessandra]

The Savage watches as Twist set to giving orders. All done with gestures, no voices needed.

She wasn’t worried about him knowing her voice, but if her Kindred were going to deliver him, they needed to keep their cover.

Mable taped the guy, which was a good idea giving there was probably no rope laying around. The question how was, would it hold? Well, that would be learned in time.

The giggle gets a raised eyebrow. Seemed he had a sense of humor. How long would that last?

Looking to Krieg, she looks confused by his gestures until he leads them out of the room.

What was he planning on doing? She was supposed to talk to Buster, not get ushered out of the room.

But this was where she needed to trust those around her. It wasn’t easy, her trust had been shattered once before. Was Krieg going to betray her? Release Buster and seek to gain control of the Domain?

The Italian didn’t know, but those questions were playing in her head as she tried to calmly wait.

Her eyes looking to Twist with a question. Having Twist with her helped ease some of those fears.

So she’d wait, impatiently, until she was told she could reenter the room.

In the room...

Buster stiffens. And growls.

Buster is at -2 penalty on all actions due to inexplicable fear. This includes an inability to expend WP on resistance rolls and dice pools.

Krieg has to concentrate to keep the power in effect and can't use any other Disciplines for the scene, or the power will fade.

Mable tentatively reenters the room and avoids looking at Krieg. Instead she walks around his back, crossing to the other side of him and stands next to him. There she waits for the others to reenter.

[Twist]

At Krieg's gestures, a small frown appears. What was he doing? And why? It was him who should be stepping out. Not everyone else. He was the one who had been so concerned about hiding himself at Buster's capture that he had simply stood around doing nothing. Combined with his persistence the last time they had met with Ale regarding this matter, a small seed of unease was being planted within Twist.

And yet. She had nothing precisely that caused this sense of unease. And with the lack of talking ... they had trusted her when she spoke in Italian to Ale. More than just the usual hello and quick pleasantries she usually did when around those who didn't speak her native tongue.

And so, she stepped outside the room.

At Ale's look, she shook her head slightly. No. She did not know or understand. But a soft touch of fingers to a spot on her body in a well known gesture of 'I am armed, I am ready' she hoped was reassuring enough to the Prince.

When the time was right, she returned with the others to the room. Going in only so far enough as to be within but still out of easy eyesight of Buster.
