The Descent of the Circle

[Langdon]

Thoughts derail as the after effects of Weavebreaker's work catches Langdon's eyes. Beautiful.

"A pyramid over a tangle of thorns?" Langdon asks aloud as Knot walks into the next room. "Dude...." The hell was his training like to walk into places like that when there's an Arrow nearby. This place is starting to sound like a deathtrap. But surely it wasn't build to be a deathtrap?

Wait, what if this is all to keep something in. The Darkness? No that's cliche...but...

"Good call Winter." And a nod to the Guardian as Langdon edges closer to the open portal of the Supernal door. There's no reason to hate all Guardians, only some that get a bit too zealous. With that Langdon takes a look inside the doorway.

Beyond the Door

The door was not locked, though the ancient metal of the hinges ground and scraped, the squeal of iron filling the air as the medieval slab of wood was forced open. A moment of vertigo eclipsed the magi as the portal yawned before them, a tunnel of cracked brick stretching on and on, endlessly, into infinity...

And that is when Knot's feet left the ground, the intrepid Mystagogue suddenly finding gravity pulling in an entirely different direction, his organs lurching against his bones as he found himself suddenly plummeting down a bottomless pit made of ancient, compact brick and stone. The walls were too far away for him to even brush against, the air screaming past his ears, his body reaching terminal velocity in a matter of seconds, and soon his body disappeared from view, falling to his death...

Except, he didn't. He fell and fell, fell until even the terror was displaced by the sheer elation of flight, of freedom from the earth sundry, overtook him, and then, just before it became boring, he felt the world began to lurch as competing webs of gravity caught him in an invisible net and deposited him safely...

Amidst a garden.

In a massive chamber that seemed to dwarf even the Cathedral itself, Knot found himself standing in the center of a podium that sat amidst a sprawling subterranean garden, marvelously twisted trees and thorned vines flourishing beneath faint rays of sunlight. Looking up he could see that the light came from the same oculus that had thrown him here, though how he couldn't say. Some trick of Space or Forces, no doubt.

Beyond the garden, however, Knot could see five monolithic arches, great slabs of stone heralding five more doors...

For anyone that has passed on to the next room, feel free to give me wits+investigation if you want to look around.

Banshee
The Realm of Stygia answers the Omen's call, and as the dread sight engulfs her she sees that the room is full...of everything that her mortal sight had already seen. Though, perhaps that would not remain the same once she passed beyond the threshold, deeper into the underground.

"See? Nothing to worry ab-"

It was then that Knot was sucked off his feet and launched into the bottomless pit. He screams the scream of the unexpected skydiver for a good thirty seconds or so before going silent.

Cayce says he falls for about a minute and a half, so people can react before I continue

[Banshee]

Death touches not the entry. Banshee feels a confusing mix of elation, and disappointment. She cannot see, nor speak with the departed, yet.

The yet rings within her mind, she must explore further to discover more. A ghost of a smirk appears upon bleak painted lips before evaporating as Knot's voice sounds before being cut off by his own yell.

She moves to move, but ceases the action. There were others more qualified, like the fully armoured Talon already at the door.

Instead, while the next room is in a state of uncertainty, Banshee focuses on what she might discover within the confines of her own brain.

Weavebreaker tailed behind Knot. As the effects began to take shape, her will was already clear. She traced out a white sigil in the air, as she tried to render Knot's pattern invisible to whatever effect was about to occur. Once again, her nimbus flared, as wings that seemed to be molded from light sprang from her back.

He pushed both his hands against the sturdy iron gates, trying to budge it open. "We should check this door fir...", the Acanthus' yell cuts him mid-sentence.
He turns around and stares at the group, below furrowed brows, a hardened gaze. The talon, ever-ready had already come in aid, hopefully they won't have to bury anybody, he sighs.

[Langdon]

Langdon was inclined to agree with his fellow Mystagogue right up until the man is pulled off of his feet and sucked into the hallway. Silence is bad. Very bad. The Stalker slinks away from the door carefully while watching the Arrow continue to work impressive will. Then he looks to Alastor .

"Soo...should I try to scry him or you?" Hopefully not a body, hopefully not a body. There's only a moment before the Moros shifts back to look through the doorway but behind the Arrow. Pulling a knife with a carved bone handle out of his bag Langdon starts to chant, a slow purposeful uttering of near comprehensible but still almost meaningless sounds. The knife rises as a gray thread bleeds from it to form the core of a glyph threaded with gray light. Pushing on the glyph Langdon hopes his cabalmate is alive.

As the knife bled grey into the air and Langdon chanted, patterns on clothes and the floor started to gain coherence. Almost like someone or something had intentionally designed them to show a hidden meaning when they are looked into for a long long time. Instead it is instant, one moment nothing, the next religious symbols start to appear. Slowly stretching out from Langdon as he Works.

Working under the assumption that Sympathy would be required to scry Knot that makes Langdon's Scry Vulgar. Which means Dox and a Nimbus are in order

Knot didn't know exactly when he stopped screaming, the wind rushing past his ears sucking all the noise away from him. His thoughts were, for the most part, a psychic hamster wheel of I'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgon nadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI 'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonn adieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI' mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonnadieI'mgonna die.

But then he landed, safe as a baby in a god damn fucking magic garden.

"I love being a wizard SO FUCKING MUCH guys!" He calls up into the other room, once he gets his feet under him and looks around. He can hear them, you see. To him, they sound like they're just in the next room, despite the fact that... he does some quick mental math based on falling speed and time falling, he seems to have fallen almost three and a half miles. He steps off the podium and calls up again, "You all gotta come down and see this! There's a landing pad! Some kind of Velocity Sink that catches you, maybe a Gravity Inversion? Technically I'm walking on a wall. I can hear you all just fine. Fall time is about a minute and a half, so don't land on each other!"

Knot starts poking around the miraculous garden while he waits for everyone else to come down. Because, you see, he realizes that unless they want to climb almost four miles up to get to what he's calling the lobby, they're going to have to find a different way out of this place.
