Perhaps the thing had not noticed the Lost's arrival; perhaps it had eyes only for Morgan. In any case, Mhairi ignites the tainted space with a thought:

Fell flames burst forth, snaking along the delicate web of shadowy null space as it ignites. The bookshelf flares into ash.

The creature squeaks with an inhuman moan and bursts from its protective cocoon. Stubby wings unroll from its back. Hands grope on legs like pistons. Thorax throbs. Long lascivious tongue shivers as it tastes the warm air.

Dust, ink and burning paper fill the air with scent.

I guess those were fighting words! I call for INITIATIVE!

The entity was wrapped in a protective cocoon which absorbed the flames. Its now ash and the beastie is active!

At all happened so fast. Speed of thought in an environment where time was fleeting and malleable.

Singing a threatening dirge the strange creature of fay or dream, flings itself towards Mhairi. It bounds across the shelves on its ungainly scuttling legs. It has a tongue; long and barbed and slick with juices. The tongue strikes with the speed of a whip!

The lascivious and quivering member hurtles past the Elemental and shreds a stack with a liquid thwak!

As the strange creature hurtles by, following the path made by its tongue, Morgan attempted to the bend the dream to her will. Here and there, fay wisps of flame guttered into existence, hissed and died.

Fast didn't cover it, one moment Mhairi was lighting the shelf up, the next a-a thing had dropped down on them, it's revolting tongue, long and barbed flicks out - missing, but seeing the shredded stack she frown. Deciding that even in a dream, such an attack would hurt.

In the real word her quicksilver drip doesn't burn. Simply fading into nothing before it could hit anything, but this was a Dream, and will and thought and belief meant more then fact.

She was a Wisp! She was Fire! She could and would and will burn this spider-thing!

Mhairi brings her hands up, then flicks them sharply!

And then Seraphina was there.

The dreams space bubbled as the Fairest slid through the cracks, following the same trail of Dream Poison from her own dreamscape. She popped into Erich Zahn's dream not too far from the fray.

Close enough to see the spot flares.

Close enough to see the shattered stacks piled so carefully up against those that still stood firmly in place.

Close enough to see the creature with its pulsating gills and long, whip-like, tongue.

The creature danced. Legs spinning, hands moving, the entity wove an array of chitinous crystal fragments that it hurled as a singular cloud at Mhairi. It sang its disconsolate anger as it did.
